From your biggest fan hear in the UK - God speed Greedy! I did not know you had gone until a week ago, and was utterly heartbroken. The Mentals were one of the greatest things to come out of the 80`s! Wish I could jump into a time machine and just stay back there forever and have a few beers with Greedy and the boys! Miss you Greedy
Never met the bloke, but certainly top 3 people I'd love to have sat down with and had a beer and yarn about the good days. This tribute clip - how many awesome memories does that bring back... Great nightclubs of the 80's, great bands, great times.. Greedy... A bloke that was always smiling and really having a blast.. He truly fed off the power coming from the crowd.. He enjoyed his job.. Lucky bugger. He also never lost that exclusive "Greedy" voice... Thanks for the memories to Greedy - and the band and his family... they must be hurting more than most. RIP Greedy.
I totally agree to what you have mentioned "Virtual Bird" and your words are spot on. Like the Minister says at the funeral. I feel i know him " Greedy" but never met him. A huge lost to all the Musical fans across the world. Was looking forward to watching them "live" again in Oz after 35 yrs from the last concert in Darwin, NT after the Crocodile Dundee Movie.
Fabulous guys really captured the whole vibe.....I worked with Andrew Davis at Crown street womens hospital in the mid 70s and I think he knew you guys or lived with you guys so we got the stories and I followed it ever since. Saw Greedy last year at by the C wollongong doing his pot of tea antics'''''looked damn fit and as if he still had 20 years in him....Im the same age and it scared the hell out of me...he was doing stuff I cant do yet Im still alive
Greedy was Australia's Lemmy from Motorhead! He stayed true to himself & kept on working until the very end. A huge loss to the Australian music scene!
Very first live concert for me was Cloudland in Brisbane, the Vapours ( Turning Japanese) supported by the Mentals. Great night. I didn’t really know Mental As Anything before that, but next pay I bought ‘Come Around’ on single then Get Wet. Great band. RIP Greedy and thank you. Best wishes to his family, friends and the band. I’m sure your memories of him will make you grin ear to ear in the near future.
I got to see many Aussie bands at cloudland on their way to the top and the Mentals always put on a great performance . It was a black day in Queensland history when Joh had the deen brothers demolish cloudland's in the early hours of the morning .
I had the enjoyment and lucky moment to have spent some short time with the guys in albany at one of the wine fests in the mid 2000s and being a 80s teen THAT WAS MY NIRVANA MOMENT, i will never forget it and i have wept for days as being in the USA atm i never even realised he had passed until a week ago :((((((((((((( im broken !

What a great (in the fullest sense of the word) bloke. Taken FAR too early. RIP Greedy, and may God bless you.
I was weeping by the end of this.....
Why is 'life' such a tragedy?
Very nice video. I love his songs. I remember him from here, in Buenos Aires. An artist is in some way, eternal. Worldwide. Forever.

☹️ R.I.P Mr G.
A great guy to the very end
My theory is, that if Greedy had not died, we would not be enduring all of this coronavirus malarkey.
Rip greedy, a part of Australian music died. The aus music scene today is nowhere what it was in the 80s and 90s
can someone please list the songs for me please
💛
