4c hair has become such a mystery to our generation, you'd think it's as new as Instagram. We all had thick, natural puffs in our playground days when we'd spend Sunday afternoons between our mother's legs as she cared for our hair. Back then no one worried about getting the perfect "twist outs" or doing a million different things to reach "bra-strap length", we just worked with what we had and our hair thrived. Then came the media, relaxers, sow-ins, microbraids and hair damage, and now we're all searching for our way back to our place between our mother's legs. I just pray we learn to simplify things, learn to love the way our hair grows from our scalps and realize that 4c hair is uniquely beautiful. If not for ourselves, at least for our future daughters who deserve to grow up knowing they were made perfectly from head to toe.
Well said. Black hair really just needs to be allowed to be natural and to be moisterized. Then it will grow long and healthy. Once I cut off the relaxer and stopped letting people do my hair, I started getting compliments on my hair.
I’m 10 years old I told my mom I wanted to do this she said okay got me the stuff I did it early in the moring I went to school and people who bullyed me loved this hair stlye /I’m 13 now😁
I've been using Vaseline all my life and it works better than the expensive products. The best perks is that it doesn't flake, defines your curls and leaves your hair soft🤎
UPDATE: this lasted me all week. It didn’t mess up my pillows.. I sleep with a bonnet and tie it with a scarf so my hair is always secure! And the greasiness is only a lot on the first day I find. Day 3 was perfect! I used the Deva Curl Wash Day wonder to make the washing process easier. I honestly love the after effect of doing this though.. I feel like even after washing it out, my hair still felt soft. No issues on my scalp. No itchiness no flaking or buildup. Definitely do this sparingly! Will try mixed with eco styler next time!
I grew up on Vaseline. From head to toe. When I did my big chop. I thought of using Vaseline to restore my hair from wearing wigs for years. It is amazing!!! My hair is growing longer and thicker!!! Sometimes it’s good to go back to ole school.
For all those who are worried about staining their pillows::: I use a lot of oils in my hair and they DO STAIN my pillow cases, BUT that’s why I only use WHITE pillow cases. At the end of the week I just toss them in the wash with hot water, add bleach and perfect! Good as new with ZERO stains! Hope that helps!
My Aunt Doris used only Vaseline on her hair until she passed at 88. She had a full and beautiful bush. I think we've learned some things since but there is a definitely a reason to explore the simplicity of the past. Thanks for this video!
My husband is Nigerian and actually introduced me to this method!!! You don't need that much jelly. Just use like applying normal product, comb, and watch it curl. It will also be very glossy!!!
Healing Virtue, LLC , Hello Healing Virtue, LLC, my husband is Nigerian also and he recommended this method to me many years ago. Also applying Vaseline while in the shower to your skin is the best for me. Vaseline, Vicks VapoRub, Apple 🍎 Cider Vinegar, Aloe Vera plants are great items to keep in your home. Cheers🦋
My mom used to only use two things in my hair that made it go down my back:Neutrogena T Gel and vaseline. I use it now, and my hair is growing back. I use it on my scalp and hair strands. It makes it super soft. I don't stress my hair out, either. New motto:"Stretch, don't stress"
Here's A Prayer to say all day every God Blessing Day "Lord Jesus I Love You I Repent Of My Sins Come Into My Heart I Make You My Lord And Savior Amen"
your hair came out too cute but I would be to scared personally. Me and my hair still going through problems and trying to build our relationship we once had so I don't wanna piss her off with a vaseline trial right now. Maybe next year when she is on my good side.
Tam Kam LoL I love how you address your hair like it’s a person! I do it too!!! I thought I was the only one! I be telling people when my hair be tripping I be saying Ohhhh she’s mad at me today! I put something on it she doesn’t like! She’s angry!!! 😂
My mom used water, detangling spray and grease on my hair and it was soft and long af. Nowadays everyone wants to buy expensive natural hair care products while forgetting where they started.
A friend and I were just discussing this. My hair was literally down my back as a child. Asked my mom how she did it and I went back to using olive oil, $3 mosturizing repair cream, and $3 hair gel and my hair is softer and growing faster than it ever has in the almost 2yrs since I last big chopped. People tend to forget that these products weren't around in the 70's and those fros were glorious 😍
SleepyGemini It’s because people back then didn’t know those where bad, clogging your follicles. That’s some of those people now old with hardly any hair in their heads.
If you remember Hair Rep, Royal Crown, Ultra Sheen, Alberto V05, Pro-Line Hair Food, Sulfur 8 or just plain old Crisco, give me a thumbs up!!! LOL🤣🤣 Vaseline, yaaaaasss...a black household staple. Love this❤
Man! I've been using sulfur 8 the past 4 months while my hair has been in crochets. I took a 2 week break in between and just took the second one out a week ago. I was shook both this time and last time at my hair growth. My hair has never grew this much and I've been wearing crochet for a year and a half! Ill never stop using it! For an idea: my hair was slightly past my neck and now hangs in between my shoulder blades!
@@nayd.7979 I will not be fooled again! The natural hair places have been lying to us and making us become product junkies to overpriced products that do not produce the benefits promised!
I’m so glad I’ve come across this video. We’ve all become so absorbed by this “natural hair movement” with their expensive products we’ve forgotten our roots and what really kept our hair healthy and strong growing up. *runs to hair shop to buy Vaseline and blue magic*
There are a lot of people on here telling her this may cause build up and it may clog her pores etc. let her use what she wants to use everyone’s hair is different and what works for her may not work for you and that’s okay 👌🏾.... if you want to only put natural products in you hair do so... but I’m not sold on Vaseline or grease not working I know people used it back in the day and their hair was just fine and long....I know that’s the only way you could press hair when I was little and people had hair down their backs so to each it’s own....everyone is saying what she should use but no one is offering her money to buy the “more natural products” Ijs no shade no hate just on some real ish! 💯🤷🏽♀️
If someone say Vaseline will clog your pores, don’t listen to them. Vaseline is noncomedogenic which means it is formulated to not clog up your pores. Look it up if you don’t believe me.
I have been using Vaseline and water for 56 years and I still here. That's all we use with the other products like Drax and Proline and surfale8. So what about all those other chemicals we use and don't know the additive they use and feel we have arrived?
❤❤❤❤❤ My mom used Vaseline & water and I had hair down my back until I chopped it off for a jerry curl!!! Never grew back in length the same and I'm 50 + fabulous now. 😅😅
I know this would work on my hair because I’ve always used Vaseline for my lashes and cuticles and they look amazingly healthy now!! Idk why I’ve never thought to use it in my hair??🤦🏾♀️
4c hair plays by different rules. My hair doesn’t have a curl pattern like that but that’s pretty much what I did to my hair when it was lose. Grease and braid it down. That’s how you maintain moisture as length. It be a little sticky at first but like you said over the days it’s absorbs and when I used other combination of more complex things they just don’t work or have adverse effects. This is nice and simple and works. It looks good too
I dont care what they say vaseline is my go to. I use it to get a sleek bun look. It makes the hair soft. Honestly I really dont care if they see grease is bad. works for me
I'm African-American and my hair is very long. I use Lilly of the Valley organic aloe vera juice (whole leaf), Okay brand castor oil and nourish organic shea butter. I just started washing my hair with only water basically at night I usually pour mountain valley spring water on my hair and use it on my face (best anti-aging secret ever!).
I remember I lost all my hair due to surgery and being in a coma... I used to having shoulder length hair. Anyway.. the Lord gave it to me to use Vaseline and water .. OMG...it grew so fast and thick. So Vaseline and water works.
This is what I do for my son.. He's Fijian kenyan and Italian. It's was crazy trying to figure out what would work for his hair. This works!!!!! I spray a water base mix then "lock" it with cocoa butter petroleum jelly and it's magical!
I love Vaseline & water for the back of my hair (if it’s super short) ONLY during the day NEVER when I’m sleep because it’s too oily! Back in the 80s. Warm water and Vaseline then brush it in whatever direction and curls POP! Yes sitting under a hair dryer works great!!
Cocoa butter Vaseline that's the one you should use for your hair, try twisting from roots ,don't put heat on it , works best when slept on the with silk to sleep let it dry naturally ,works for any length, preferably after you was while still damp
Absolutely you are correct! She’s more of an international beauty/model looks with the afro hair. There is something awesome and beautiful about the Afro hair. I love mine. This method every now and then is great for moisture boost
I grew twisting my hair on Dax vaseline and water, I had thick, thick curly 4C hair, back then I did not know I had to love my hair and do all this fancy stuff like treating it and conditioning and it was still long and beautiful and still is, I Love my hair
That was truly “old school”, I’m 66 and I remember my mother using Royal Crown hair grease, a brush and a glass/cup of water to fix my hair. And it would be so pretty. Wow..who knew!!👍🏽
My mom used Vaseline and water on my edges as well as Pink Oil Moisturizer and water. I went back to using that for my hair about two years ago... LOVE IT!
I do something similar, but right after washing my 4C hair. First I condition the hair with the amazing smelling Jansyn's moisture max conditioner. You can towel it somewhat try with a tee shirt (after washing thoroughly clean with any old store bought shampoo). If you want to great the hair a litle, you can turban it with the team shirt and sit for about a half hour to let the conditioner absorb more and soften the hair more. I wash my hair in the shower, so after the half hour, I'll disrobe from my warm terry cloth garment, and re-enter the shower to wash out the conditioner. Use warm, not not water. You'll find that the hair is untangled and easily combed through with a wide-toothed comb. Re-wrap your hair with the teeshirt and dry yourself off thoroughly. I like to use CremeofNature Twist and Curl pudding to further soften the hair. Comb a moderate amount through you entire hair while it's still fully damp. Next I'll work through a moderate amount of Carol's Daughter Mimosa Hair Honey, which has approximately the consistency of vaseline, not as greasy and nicely scented. Final step is to keep a water spray bottle handy and begin to bring forth the coils exactly as you see in this video. It works, with hardly an residue and no need to blow dry if you have a couple hours to let it sit dry before you leave the house. You'll have a good-looking and smelling head of hair that will not lose it's look for three of more days. I suppose you can spray and add more product as you go along before your next shampoo. But you will have great hair that doesn't smear oil on your clothes or pillow. Perhaps I will substitute vaseline (not nearly as much) the next time just to see if I am just as happy with the result. Surely it's a less expensive method, but since I use moderate amounts of my products, they last month's so cost is not an issue. Good luck.
Back in the day my mum used to set my hair with rollers, water and vaseline and once it dried it would both straighten and hold the curl for a whole week sometimes longer because it protected the hair from excess moisture in the atmosphere. I have not found anything that remotely tames my hair like that and prevents frizz. Although we did not apply that much. Just a small amount and never to the scalp
I shaved all my hair December. It's February and I've never shampooed it or used any of the media chemicals on it and it's growing so beautifully!! Plus my scalp is cleaner than ever. I just wash my hair and apply Vaseline and the results are pleasantly surprising!! I use Vaseline on my face too and it's smoother and more glowing than ever!
Honestly, I know a lot has been negatively said about Vaseline being made with petroleum and all, but thinking about it everybody on the African continent uses Vaseline on their body everyday and it fights ashy dry skin more than anything else. There are no alarming skin conditions or skin cancer and don’t all our Black boys have the most beautiful hair! They only use Vaseline most of the time!
I’m so jelly of you ladies with this hair texture. It holds styles beautifully. My hair will not hold a twist out to save my life! 😫 Within a hour it reverts back to its original curly state. Even when I had a perm. I rocked a flat sleek wrap. My hair wouldn’t hold curls then either. 😭
Vaseline has always been a go to for years especially for children because of its so safe. My mom used it on us in the late 80s and 90s until we were just over using it . Just like most stuff we just bring back what was already working. Glad you discovered it.
OMG I stumbled on your video and I am SO glad that I did. I am DEFINATELY going to try this. I have 4C hair and in certain parts of my head I swear it feels like 4Z (lol). I've spent SO much products on my hair trying to find something that works but as soon as anything wet hits my hair, the voices of my ancestors come a singing! I was even praying asking GOD to help me figure out what works for my hair. I pulled out my Fro butter (the one that says that it's made with Emu oil..yikes). It has the consistancy of Shea butter. I put that on and my hair feels great BUT I want shiny curls. AND BOOM, POW, hear floats your video...lol...I will be trying this first thing in the morning. Thank you for reminding me of what our parents used on our hair (my mom used all kinds of stuff and our hair looked KEPT!). At any rate, THANK YOU AGAIN. YOU look beautiful and I love the results.
I love this video for one main reason: you are doing what you want with your hair! I feel like so many natural hair youtubers feel pressured to follow methods that everyone else are doing that they are afraid to try things with their own hair. It’s nice to see be real and not take hair so seriously.
I'm close to 60 years young (lol) and we didn't have the products of today. Grease and water did wonders for the hair. Young and old. Blue magic was the grease. We used it for press and curl too.
excellent video ! very articulate and understood every word my hair is not 4c but tried it anyway the results were fabulous!!!! My hair is shoulder length and thick I guess because it seals in moisture and helps control split ends you can retain length. Also lightly oil and massage your scalp with essential oil of choice. Leave serums, custards, leave ins, etc. alone. You know exactly what you're putting in your scalp/hair. Also super, super easy on the pocketbook 😊
Blue magic grease would of been better I use it and no it doesn't clog pores my hair is still growing don't listen to the lies ppl try to say becuz they want your money for those overpriced natural hair products if run out of grease I do use shea butter
I went back to the basics of what my mother did to my hair and my hair loves it. Blue magic hair oil and water. Just like vaseline and water. I think my hair retention process needed that moisture retention that vaseline/ blue magic can achieve. My hair went from ear length to pass my shoulders in a years time.
My mom said its great that's what she has on her hair right now then she happen to see this video a couple of hours later. Her mom used Royal Crown, and water on hers, and Dixie Peach, hair grease, but it also looks like petroleum jelly, but it costed more, but it looked the same color but they both smelled different, she said good for you, you go gir-r-r--r-l👍.
I have natural curly hair already, but what I like about your experiment is the shine. My hair dries out too fast, so it looks like the vaseline will lock in moisture for my hair. I will be giving this a try most def. Thank you
I use blue magic once a weak (to seal my hair). And for me it works soooooo well. But you need to use a little amount of it, or you are going to have too much build up on your hair. P.S. I wash my hair once or twice a week. Bye from Italy 😁
Oh my goodness!! I've been natural for only 3 months and didn't even think about this. Water, castor oil, and vaseline was the only products that I would use on my kids hair when they were young. Their hair grew so much and stayed healthy. Only difference was, I melted the vaseline and small bottle of castor oil together and put the mixture back into the vaseline container to settle. Their grandmother told me about how to do it. Thanks for sharing this with us.
I thought of this sometime ago.I remembered the good old days and our hair was so nourished and thought of going back there because these expensive products ain't working for me the way it works for the RUclipsrs. Thank you so much for doing this video.
Vaseline (petroleum jelly) was commonly used on our hair as well as Lard growing up. I used vaseline and water on my daughter's hair for twisting and braiding. Today, at age 29 her hair is long and healthy, no perm and no pressing.
I have noticed the benefits of petroleum jelly. I have tried my hair with and without it, and it seems way better with it. Thanks for sharing your experience.
I tried the Vaseline and water on my hair after I washed and conditioned. I like the way it turned out, curly, shiny, soft and not hard like the gel that hardens on the hair. My mom put water and grease on my hair, so I used water and grease on my children's hair.
Legit, as long as it works then it’s all good for me!💯 Tired of spending crazy money on products that don’t work and making DIY’s that don’t work either! 🙌🏾♥️
Use garlic for hair growth it works! Garlic is packed with minerals and nutrients and those minerals grow your hair. I'm so happy that I am using garlic for now my hair is growing fast and strong. Seriously it works
debra james Your hair will be smelling like cooked food. Took three months for that smell to dissipate from my dam even essential oils did not help. Don’t do it!
@@Sugarlydeliciousness Sorry you had to experience that. I say, try putting more fresh garlic in your foods instead. Or make some in juiced veggie drinks!
Shalisha Porter Thank you... Yes that’s what I’ve been doing. I love the benefits of garlic and definitely believe it’s best used as a food ingredient not for hair as least not my hair. 😂
yasss, grease works the best for my twist outs 👌👌 gives me moisture for a WHOLE week before i need to either remoisturize or just wash my hair. My twists outs come out defined af with a leave in added 😁😁😁
Girl this lasted me allllll week. I left my bang out and wore the rest in a head wrap (like in my last video) and it was amazing! So moisturized 😩 I know it’s not technically the best option but it worked so well and I ain’t mad about it!!
Grease always works for me. Everybody want to tell you it clogs but it doesn't and these the same people that don't realize their wigs smother hair growth waaay more than any grease.
This is actually how I grew up. In the Caribbean. It's all I actually used until I met my wife and starting getting my hair professionally braided in this country. It seems that black women in this country tend to be over sophisticated when it comes to hair care. I'm going back to what I know. Thanks.
When I first went natural back in 1998 I "discovered" this too with Blue Magic hair grease!! I didn't put the grease on my scalp, but our hair loves grease!! Your hair looks beautiful and this will easily last an entire week and remain nice and moisturized!! We don't need a bunch of expensive products!! All we need is Water, oil, and grease or vaseline, and then of course shampoo and conditioner and that's it!! Our Type 4 hair is so beautiful and versatile and can grow out healthily whether relaxed or natural!! I'm relaxed, and 20 weeks post relaxer. But man do I miss my natural hair. I was in a horrible car accident and my shoulder isn't attached to my collarbone and that's when I decided to relax to take pressure off my arm. But now, I'm missing my natural hair. I have 3 inches of new growth and am just below bra strap length. Since 1998 I've gone back and forth between natural, texlaxed, and relaxed, but there's nothing as beautiful as our natural afro hair to me!! Just blessed!!
True story... Royal Crown hair grease is what I used as my hair made its way back from relaxed to natural. It still comes in the red paper/cardboard container with the silver lid. Royal Crown is nothing more than petroleum jelly with a mild scent added. I continue to use it after my hair completely transformed because I like the level of moisture it provides. See, this GA girl was raised up on Royal Crown hair grease, but I abandoned it at age 18 when I started wearing relaxers. Was skeptical when my sis in law suggested Royal Crown 2 years ago when I began my pilgrimage from processed to natural. She witnessed my struggle with different products that weren't working. Okay now taking her advice... Well, you know, I've lived and traveled over the years and considered myself a little worldy...so this Diva going back to Royal Crown? I reluctantly did and am so happy I did. Whoever said you can't go home again Lied!! I wear "protective" styles, ie sew-ins, braids, wigs, constantly switching up. I think after 2 years I now have a length I find manegeable so I can wearr my natural hair more often.
Obviously I don't have black folk hair, and my hair is straight. However I do use vaseline sometimes as a soak. I recommend not using base vaseline as a product for hair but if you must use it heat it up first, and mix with olive oil, baby oil, or an oil based hair tonic vaseline hair tonic works great. You can use even cooking oil. My hair care consists of soaking my hair in oil, rinsing with warm water, and using baby shampoo as a rinse aid. Then finishing with horse shampoo. Sometimes I do this weekly, sometimes monthly etc mostly when I got time to.
My mom use to mixed mines with glovers mane and also put my hair in little twists as a little girl. I just now restarted that method cause just like you I was also getting tired of doing a lot to my hair🖤.
I have doing my twist out for the past mouth using blue magic hair grease and they last for 7 days or more and are so moisturized the entire time and let's talk about the definition and the growth I have retained. Once dry I seperate and at night I band in about 5 to six sections and just fluff and shake the next day to style. Ya'll this old school method has definitely worked on my 4c natural hair.
I've actually been using vaseline and water on my hair because I read somewhere that it works like gel except you have to tie your hair longer, I guess but I've never used this much lol. So I do love what it does to my hair but I think I'm going to try defining my curls as you did. This is bomb honestly.
Used water and Vaseline for my twistouts for years as I transitioned. Hair grew like weeds but after awhile my hair would take too long to dry. Just have to remember to clarify your hair once in a while to remove buildup.
My mom used " Royal Crown" on my hair when I was a youth(petroleum jelly) and after a good wash, she'd pincurl it. I remember her also using Madame C. J Walker and sometimes Sulfur 8! No hair issues at all!
Hi my name is Brenda and I'm(was) a third generation Hair Stylist.I was born in the early sixties and my mother had five girls and and she put Royal Crown hair grease on our hair and I did also for my girls until Blue Magic hair grease came out. I had been perming my hair from 1993-2018, I had tried through the years pain was the only reason I was not successful until a few years ago and I thank God! my Migraines left and I was able to go natural when I wash my hair I use oil lotion and Blue Magic hair grease(green has conditioner) and it has a lasting shine, please don't feel bad about using grease on your hair, black women these days think using hair grease is a SIN! before God. If it was not for it all of us and our kids would be BALD.
Simply beautiful (you hair and you). Honey I don't judge you at all! It's funny how people are quick to judge you and try to tell you what is good or not good for your hair. Our mothers and grandmothers used nothing put water, pink oil moisturizer, and grease on our hair; and I can remember my hair being so thick and long. That is until "Just for Me relaxer" ruined my hair. With that being said do you boo!. I started back using blue magic grease and it works as a great conditioner for my hair. I will be trying this today on my tapered 4b hair. Thank you.
This was a really good video I am old-school raised in the 70s and we did exactly what you are doing. There was no Jill back then no curly pudding none of that stuff. To lay down edges and baby hairs you used water and whatever hair grease like Bergamont or Vaseline. In the 80s the Bonner brothers ruled with the Jerry curl, which made everyone’s hair grow. Ask anybody in your family who had one or who knew someone who had one as long as they had enough to roll over a rod they got the curl and their hair grew amazingly this is because it was kept moist. I don’t care what millennials or the X or Y generation or whatever you are think, black hair needs oil, if not it will dry out and break off. Vaseline is an oil just like olive oil castor oil and others. All of these things were used by our ancestors and our hair did not suffer from these products it was not until we started using chemicals and having to take drugs to maintain high blood pressure did we start experiencing problems. I know there are new ways but this one proves that old-school ways are still good
I am getting ready to reveal how old I am, but my mother used to use Dixie Peach, and Royal Crown on my hair when I was a kid. The Vaseline reminds me of that. I remember her using water as well. It must be something to it, because my hair was long back then.
Smart women , we finally are coming to the realization that we as African American women should not be using products that do not cater to our hair type or texture!, garlic is great for hair growth! Scrub your scalp with garlic and leave it in over night! Then wash it out! Garlic is packed with a lot of minerals and nutrients that helps with growing your hair! Garlic kills all of the bacteria and toxins found in one's scalp! After you remove the toxins then your hair can grow!
@@Qurlsnloqs Garlic and more garlic! I learned that garlic is packed with minerals and really helps the hair to grow! Scrub it into your scalp and watch your hair grow in one month. Scrub it in and then leave it in over night, then wash it out the next day!

Vaseline is also healing...I’ve got eczema on my scalp and Walmart brand Vaseline helped the flare ups. Also, my hair grew back in bald spots.

So you just apply the Vaseline on the hair and comb it then it automatically coils itself or you use your hand to coil it?
My mom used to only use two things in my hair that made it go down my back:Neutrogena T Gel and vaseline. I use it now, and my hair is growing back. I use it on my scalp and hair strands. It makes it super soft. I don't stress my hair out, either. New motto:"Stretch, don't stress"

Good luck.
After watching this I decided to generously base my locks with Vaseline. RESULTS: Vas is the future.
Locks??
Yes it was also our past lol...

I am going to wash my hair tonight and try this God bless you Queeny and your work is informative and life changing because I love my hair
I remembered using Vaseline on my hair when I was younger. My hair was actually flourishing and was long.
Share your method if you remember? 💕
Chemuu Chemuu what do you wash your hair with if you don't shampoo? Just asking because my hair isn't flourishing like I know it could. Thanks!
Hellooooo please answer what they said^^^^^^
You just wash your hair with bare water ?
Honestly, I know a lot has been negatively said about Vaseline being made with petroleum and all, but thinking about it everybody on the African continent uses Vaseline on their body everyday and it fights ashy dry skin more than anything else. There are no alarming skin conditions or skin cancer and don’t all our Black boys have the most beautiful hair! They only use Vaseline most of the time!
Americans use it as well in big jars. But not on hair at least not anymore
My hair is shoulder length and thick
I guess because it seals in moisture and helps control split ends you can retain length.

I use blue magic once a weak (to seal my hair). And for me it works soooooo well. But you need to use a little amount of it, or you are going to have too much build up on your hair.
P.S. I wash my hair once or twice a week.

Oh my goodness!! I've been natural for only 3 months and didn't even think about this. Water, castor oil, and vaseline was the only products that I would use on my kids hair when they were young. Their grandmother told me about how to do it. Thanks for sharing this with us.

Thanks.
Black woman want hair like other races flowing long hair but there's are natural rock what god gave us
When I first went natural back in 1998 I "discovered" this too with Blue Magic hair grease!!
It worked when I was a child literally had hip length hair so idk why it wouldn’t know ! Go with it
True story...
Definitely try this plus some Jamaican black castor oil
How did it go?

Are we going to be washing the Vaseline away after a while before we applied another one

Does blue magic hair actually work? When can you use it?

Simply beautiful (you hair and you). Honey I don't judge you at all! It's funny how people are quick to judge you and try to tell you what is good or not good for your hair. Our mothers and grandmothers used nothing put water, pink oil moisturizer, and grease on our hair; and I can remember my hair being so thick and long. That is until "Just for Me relaxer" ruined my hair. With that being said do you boo!. I started back using blue magic grease and it works as a great conditioner for my hair. I will be trying this today on my tapered 4b hair. Thank you.

I've never seen someone so shook!!!! I'm SO trying this
This was a really good video I am old-school raised in the 70s and we did exactly what you are doing.
So I was wasting money on products?? Nice💔😭😭😭 it looks bomb girl❤
Who would have thought! I love my other products too but this is definitely going to be apart of my money saving routine lol

I stumbled on this video as i was looking for new ideas to style my natural mane and surprisingly this is my to go to hair-do especially during the weekdays.I just wash and set my hair in my house on Sundays and it is like my natural, cheap and affordable wash and set considering that I am on a low cost budget as a college student and i just wake up to straighten them out with my fingers(because of my bonnet).Thank you so much for sharing this
