it won't scrub your face physically, although lemon juice has exfoliating effect but there is not enough of it in this mixture for that purpose. it's basically just a nice smelling moisturizer

@@17joy32 that’s actually false. Petrolatum is an occlusive. It cannot be absorbed. Its function is the exact opposite. It is an occlusive, it doesn’t let anything in or out. It just sits on the skin surface. It can only be absorbed through ingestion
