    Hi Rachel, new follower here. 😀
    Thanks for showing a full video of Warwick.
    I'm thinking of attempting this one 😊

      Hi, thank you 😁
      Warwick is a great course. Hope you get to give this one a go. It’s nice seeing all the runners going in the opposite direction 🏃🏼‍♀️🏃🏻‍♂️

    The course PB is just around the corner Rachel, just a handful of seconds to find! Congrats to Rory and good luck both for the hilly marathon this weekend!

      Thanks Chloe. We’re just enjoying the last evening of having legs that can walk up and down stairs. This time tomorrow it will be a different story 🤣

    Nice work Rachel! I can only imagine the fatigue in your legs after that bridge run. It always took a bit after full marathons to get that top end speed back. I'd love to get back down into the 21s and 20s again for a 5k. My running is slowly coming back and my fitness is improving. Hoping to have a solid fall. Each week sees more gains. Love seeing you happy and I enjoy watching your running adventures!

      @racheld1844  4 месяца назад +2

      Thanks Eddie 😁 One advantage of losing a bit of fitness is improvements are easier to see when training starts to work. Being at or near peak is a bit harder as the gains can be almost none existent. I’m sure with your rebuild you’ll be getting back to what you know you can run. It’s heading in the right direction 😊

    So near yet so far. We thought you had that one in the bag! Good to see Rory running well again and the age grading definitely makes us relatively faster as we get older 😂

    • @racheld1844
      @racheld1844  4 месяца назад +2

      Age grade is definitely a big incentive. I got 79.35 last year which was my highest. Be great to see a 80.something sometime 😁
      I looked up the day I did my pb at a Warwick. We started on the grass and I fell when my foot went down a rut, about 50m from the start. I got straight back up but it definitely cost me a couple of seconds. Plus it was really icy ❄️ We’ll both be back to give it another go I’m sure 😊

    Well done, Rachel, on more great running. It's always good to follow your running journeys. You and Rory are so consistent. Even when you've not a 100% and I agree about the hills, I always struggle with them. Best of luck to you both in the marathon 🤞🤞

      @racheld1844  4 месяца назад +2

      Thanks Neil. I managed one hill session recently but I doubt it will make any difference to getting up the hills at Malvern 😁 I’ll be getting my year’s supply of elevation in one race 🤣
      Have you been to any new parkruns recently?

    • @neilsumner6440
      @neilsumner6440 4 месяца назад +1

      Yes, thanks, Rachel. I'm on a 56 different parkrun run streak, the most recent being Humber Bridge, which is a really nice trail course in the country park next to the bridge. I'm hoping to finally get to Aston Hall either this weekend or next. Looking forward to your next video. 🙂

      @@neilsumner6440 That’s an impressive streak of parkrun’s Neil. I think I got to 7 or 8 😁 Humber Bridge sounds great. We looked this one up a while ago to see if it was actually run on the bridge but saw it was near but not on it. Good luck with Aston Hall. Really pleased it’s still going after the video I made at the start of the year.

    Great effort. Always good to see familiar faces on a local course. Weirdly ive only done this course once.

      Thanks Stu. The last time I got to run there was my first parkrun after I pulled my calf. I wasn’t able to go quick so was nice to have another fast run on Saturday. I’m sure I’ll be back again for another try, I’ll keep a look out for you 😁

    Well done Rachel and Rory. Not far off for the PB but the big improvement for age must have been encouraging. Guess you are running the marathon as I write this. Hope all goes well. Look forward to the video.

      Thanks Peter. We had a lovely day out on the hills today. The weather was absolutely perfect. Met so many nice people who said they watched the channel which blew me away. Some even said they only did it because they saw my video from a couple of years ago 😊

    That malvern race sounds disgusting but beautiful at the same time, I just looked at the results for Warwick and it's weeks like that I wished I had turned up 😂😂 Well done on the run and you were so so close but with all your ridiculous events recently you ran extremely well.

      Thanks 🙏 I always think I’m good to go again after about a week of recovery, but really, it’s a lot longer, I just don’t like to admit it 🤣
      Looking forward to watching your running in crocs later! Congratulations on the 600 subs 🎉
