Thanks bmboldt for assembling such a treasure trove of game videos!
Wouldn't it be great to see teams like Alabama, Georgia, Florida and other SEC teams come up to The frigid north occasionally to play a football game?
Never will happen. They will settle for Dallas and they got a retractable roof🤦🏿🤦🏿🤦🏿🤦🏿
Between the cold and the altitude, that would be interesting,
The last tie in Nebraska history
I remember watching the second half of this game as a kid. One thing I'm not sure that registered is just how cold it was. Not too many college games played in legit 0 to below 0 degree temps.
YEA I HEAR YA BIG MAN I WAS JUST THINKING THE SAME THING I BEEN LOOKING AT A FEW GAMES AND THIS 1 POPPED UP SO I CHECKED IT OUT AND U RIGHT THOUGH I'M 47 AND DON'T REMEMBER TO MANY GAMES LIKE THIS I'M COLD JUST WATCHING 😀😁😏👍 STAY SAFE GOD BLESS🙂✝️🙏🙋♂️
I was at the game, it was brutal.
I’m glad the guy on the field pointed out that because of the cold the field was hard as concrete . Weren’t astroturf fields literally concrete underneath?
Basically carpet on top of concrete. Some astroturf fields were softer than others
5:31 32:17 wow I remember when PA announcers were that loud it reminds me of playing in high school
What a battle! Love the old-fashioned style, lots of runs, hard hits, crucial special teams plays. If Nebraska could have kept Colorado from blocking two place kicks, they'd have won...
I remember watching this, game, down to the wire! The quarterback doing punt returns, that's a first.
Kordell Stewart returned a few in his career also.
The forgotten year of the CU 3 peat. But very important...we weren't Oklahoma or Nebraska,& cuz we were out of national title hunt early,& had played for the title,2 yrs in a row...nobody remembers this year. But it was a more amazing Big 8 title in many ways.CU had a lot of close wins vs bad teams. Oklahoma St went 0-10-1,but only lost to us by 4. Iowa St was bad,but I think we won by 3. Nebraska was killing the same teams. After this tie,we knew Nebraska would need to stumble or they'd go to the Orange Bowl. We had gone 2 straight yrs, they travel better,& we had 1 more loss...were lower ranked. But finding a way to beat ranked Oklahoma on the road,& somehow tie a superior Nebraska team this game, was a big deal. Colorado hasn't won 3 straight conference titles otherwise in my lifetime...pretty sure we haven't won 2 straight in my life. Nebraska,& Oklahoma have done it way more than 3 straight, lots of times. Why I still hold this season in high esteem. It was all we could do to finish ranked,& scratch out another Big 8 title...no small feats at CU. Even if the title was as litteral of co title as you'll ever see. The kind that'd be impossible to see today with overtime.
I had a side line pass........cold as hell.......brutally physical game.
Last year Colorado ran the option The next they went to a 3 WR passing offense and the program has never been the same
10 years later nebraska ditched the triple option for the trash west coast offense . And have been trash ever since.
@@CoreyT127 Syracuse is another that ditched the option and went downhill
cu was a good running team in 01 and 02. Ran ALL OVER us both those years.
@@CoreyT127 In today's game it'd probably be hard to run the triple option because of the speed of defenses but I loved the run spread west Virginia ran in the mid 2000s. They has a lot of success with it
@@DMS-pq8 No Colorado hasn’t been right since Mac retired.
What happened to the yard lines You can barely see them?
I never could figure that out. In that era, the yard lines and hash marks were always very difficult to see in Boulder.
I always wondered why that was such an issue there.
The other thing about Folsom is how little room there is on those sidelines. During the telecast, they talked about the players being so close to the field because of all the snow piled up there.
The snow was an issue that night, but-even when it’s 100 degrees-people on the sidelines have no room.
It has always seemed like a really dangerous design flaw, it seems to me, with that stadium.
I miss Adrian K Karsten !
This is a hard hitting game for any college football game but for a game that is 0° its brutal.
End up as a Tie.
Nice! I was just searching for this game a few weeks ago and nada! Your the only one who has it. I know I've probably ask you this already. But do you have 1999 Nebraska at Texas regular season? Only the big 12 championship is all I find. Nebraska only lose that year so that's probably why
Jill Conner dude no one has that Nu at Texas 99 game I’ve messaged countless uploaders and no one has it! I mean no one
@@jasonfasthorse8939 93 Nebraska Kansas is another game nowhere to be found!
