Today and last night have been spent overlooking Cwmdonkin park and the Uplands..looking out towards Worm's head, with my host Gareth Jenkins of Notts Gardens, Uplands reciting Dylan's poetry from memory as we looked out
Thank you for these. We have at least 5 senses-it is interesting to contemplate on how they relate. The Welsh seem to have a great affinity with language and sound.
What a find - thank you SO much for uploading this. A record of two great men....and Burton captured here so beautiful and at his melodic best. No one on this earth will ever speak with more golden beauty than Richard Burton, he was the last of his kind.
In my craft or sullen art Excercised in the still of night When only the moon rages And the lovers lie abed With all their griefs in their arms.... Remembered off the top of my dome, if wrong please correct. Dylan is a memorable poet because his mad muddied words are so easy to remember. He said he carried within him madman, beast and angel. But he carried within him, a blessing from a wind swept Isle, and moody joyous people, a poet of pitiful beautiful power.
Some people are good talkers, I wonder if it is as such because they talk from the heart and not from the self-conscious mind, and if you are an actor you may become a known star! I haven't seen many vintage movies but I have seen this one because of Dylan Thomas, I love his poetry!
Fancy seeing you here Norma Jean!! I've spent some time today in Cwmdonkin park and at a friends overlooking the park and Swansea bay, all the parts talked about in this film :))
Words, poems, love, passion, Wales, coastline, very proud to be Welsh.. The land of poetry and song. Diolch.. Burton and Dylan Thomas.. Celtic Gods..
And Sir Tom Jones, of course!
