I just found these videos and love it. It’s true all these apartment tours are in the city. Bronxite here as well 🙋🏻♀️. I totally feel like you. I never made my apartments home, but I am not moving anytime soon so I have been making this my home and decorating it how I want without the notion in my head oh ur going to move soon don’t fix it up. I love to see how people utilize their spaces and give me ideas

It’s so bad that you said Brooklyn. Who would’ve thought one of the most looked down on borough would be on the list for the most expensive borough to live in. But look here! Bronx is next. I live in Brooklyn with my parents still at 30. Every apartment I look at in Brooklyn the realtors requirements are super high. You have to make 40x the rent, 750+ credit score as 1 bedroom apartments are starting at $2000+..You do the math 😒 I hate it in NYC. Then you have these uppity people coming from Manhattan like ohhh $1500 for a ROOM & move right in 😂 this shit is unbelievable
@@cressidaaaaa I know the rental market here is harsh especially for younger people with low- middle class income. Those requirements feel impossible I'm currently in the midst of trying to move or at least looking at it as an option but those requirements feel unattainable. Especially with the current economy. I've been looking at surrounding states but then adding a car to the budget comes up and I end up right back at my current budget. Smh
I watch a lot of these. I think this is the third Bronx apartment I've seen on here.

Whether I lived in just one room, a shared room, trailer or my small house I've always made it mine.- even if that only meant using pages from magazines as pictures- I think it comes from having very little and moving about a lot as a child 🤔 🤔
If you dig around a bit there are plenty of youtubers with regular jobs and careers (sometimes unemployed too) who have apartment tours up.
The tours are what draw me in then if they're normal and relatable I subscribe!! 😊😊

@Kissenia : from one Bronx gal to another : you did a fab job on yr apt in THE Bronx !!! So glad you showcased our borough because it's been cast in a negative light for too long. Too many ppl think Manhattan is the ultimate destination but The Bronx has a lot to offer : Famous zoo, Botanical Gardens, Wave Hill & a lot of history to the borough. Thanx for the spotlight. !!!
I'm so happy to see a BRONX apt tour. All of the videos I've seen are so unrealistic and not practical. love seeing down to earth youtubers showing the real. I miss living in the Bronx.
Damn I didn’t even know you could find an apartment that cheap in NYC. Here I’m thinking everyone be ballin in a $3000 apartment. Love how you decorate the place.
Majority of them are but we here just us regular folks lol 😂😂
A lot of apartments in NYC are well below $3k. RUclipsrs that love to flex just live in the places that are expensive. Many regular degulars here that live solo are paying between $1300 - $1900/mo for studios or 1brs. If they say that can’t find one “that cheap”, they haven’t really been looking. 😄

You did a fantastic job. I lived in a 1 bedroom in the Bronx 12 years and converted my dining room to a bedroom so I totally relate. Your apartment is a comfortable home!
How do y’all do that?! In nj lanyards won’t allow parent and child live in a apartment that is only to occupy 1 person
@@nikkicas260 we moved in with no kids and had a daughter a few years later. Our dining room conversion was simply removing the table and adding a futon.

Had to pause at the point of “ready to settle in” girl, SAME! I used to move a lot around NYC, been in the same spot for several years now and still never fully settled because I always thought I was going to move somewhere else. I’m ready to be happy where I’m at now and make place into a home now.

Love this studio. It is so spacious and feels homey. The plants give it a tropical vibe and porch gives added space with a fantastic view. You have great ideas on how to convert spaces. Those windows give wonderful light in the place. Thank you for showing an apartment that is real and not one where everything is in it's place and for not opening up every drawer, and cabinet. I'm from Chicago and the noises are comforting to me. The train is literally in my yard. I live for the unique old buildings. Just beautiful to me. Also letting you style it as nobody has the same boring things. I love worldly things and art and vintage. Your home is gorgeous and beautiful to me. It has heart and is a home. My 1st bedroom was a walk in closet and my mom decorated it in sesame street I still cherish at 50 yrs old.

Your plants are beautiful, and great job creating a space for your child. I’m sure it’s nice to be able to enjoy your space after you tuck him into bed each night. I like the room divider curtain you installed on the ceiling. I was especially interested in seeing your tour because I wondered about installing those ceiling mounted curtains in studio spaces. And lastly I love the leaf mural, and the rainbow window cling.

Honestly, i’m South African by the way and based off every other NYC apartment tours i’ve seen on RUclips, i’ve never seen such realistic content like this. I really thought everyone in NYC be living in such big pricey places (i need to educate myself more clearly and stop watching all these movies) 😂 Your place is so homey and i love what you did with the space ❤️
