Opened RUclips while making my morning coffee and was greeted with an Aquaholic upload!
I absolutely love this boat, in terms of interior volume this is a huge 30 footer. It's wild to look at how things have progressed in boating. If you look at a hunter 27 from the 80s you're not going to get anything as well appointed as this great yacht.
Glad you enjoyed it!
I'm still not convinced it's only 30ft 😄
I love this channel. Review all price ranges of boats. Not just mega yachts. But, I love my cape dory.. 😋
Thank you, Nick! There’s a RUclips channel with a couple who have been sailing around the world for several years in a sailboat this size. They still seem to like each other.
Remarkable! 😄
What’s the channel?
@@jacktyler5241 Sailing Magic Carpet
Good choice of boat Nick, really nice layout, keep them coming thoroughly enjoy your channel ⚓️🤓👏🏻🍺
Thanks, will do!
Does anyone know if those yachts come with air conditioning ?
I think that’s a brilliant layout and compromise between storage and berths. The second bet is pretty useable. The only concern I would have is the wheels are so close to the back that in rough water I’d be worried I fell overboard!
I would much prefer a tiller. Not sure why wheels are so popular on smaller boats. They mostly just get in the way.
@@Surfbird11 would autopilot with tiller be possible ?
@@alternbg Absolutely. There are several good tiller autopilots available.
@@Surfbird11 you can go for a tiller option which is cheaper than the wheels one ! hehe
I love this boat. Large enough to live aboard, but small enough for real life economics. Thank you for showing us more sailing yachts!
I love these sail boat tours and these Beneteau's are lovely. Sail or motor. I'm sure the hardcore sailors would argue but I can easily imagine spending a summer bimbling around Mallorca's coastline, coves and bays in one.
I love that you’ve had a few more sailing yachts on recently, thanks Nick!
My first sailing yacht was a 30 footer from the mid-1980s. Just like most smaller cabin sailing yachts from that period, the interior was often a little more than a panelled canoe with a galley and a bed compared to this Beneteau.
It is remarkable that the comfort, quality and design of such sailing yachts has improved considerably since then, but the price level has remained about the same.
Beneteau makes beautiful sailboats, but I wish their helm positions were a little more protected. I can’t help thinking that I would feel precarious in bad weather way out on the stern like that.
The customers for these boats are typically going to be lakeboats or harbour/shore cruisers. They won't be finding them in heavy weather. I'm guessing that 60% of the time these will be run on engine.
98% of the owners of these types of yachts remain in the marina when the wind blows above 4bft.
But instead of a double helmet position, I would prefer a single pendulum helm position
Agreed it looks like it's just a couple of wires across the back. Every thing else is great.
@@AntonKramer You realize a Force 4 is 11 to 16 kts. This is a 30 ft boat, that's her sweet spot even for the inexperienced owner. Force 6 with a reef in the main and the #2 up sure. I will agree that a bit too much for most new or low skill owners.
@@otm646 That is also the point I wanted to make in my comment. however, I do not want to condescend or judge the qualities and experience of the owners and users of these types of yachts.
Yet from my own experience on the water, I can only conclude that the vast majority remain moored in the marina as soon as the wind picks up or when a cloud appears in the sky.
I also don't want to generalize, but a large part, if not the vast majority of the market for these types of yachts uses it as a holiday house or floating caravan, with which they can also make a nice day trip of the one marina to another marina with the family.
and again there is nothing wrong with that, but in my personal opinion, these types of yachts are in the category blue sky yachts.
Lovely, they’ve done a pretty nice job with space on this one. Again, I prefer a more protected cockpit/helm but they’ve managed to get two usable cabins here. Very nice. As always, another excellent Aquaholic tour!
Nice little boat, surprised they managed to squeeze two cabins out of her.
Lovely yacht. It's a lot wider than my 30ft. Big enough to sleep 4 adults without changing the layout of main salon. Easy to sail and maneuver definitely on my list of future yachts.
Great boat for around the buoys racing and long weekends close to the coast. I think I would go for the tiller steering so I wasn't standing on the stern to steer. The wheels looked very close to the stern . Might have just been the camera angles, have to look at one in real life. Thanks Nick .. lovely 30 foot boat.
I've seen many presentations of this this boat ,but I must say that your presentation has been the best, by far thank you for this video . You have inspired me to get my very own 30.1.
Haven’t finished the video yet, but just want to say something nice about Nick, about the video, about the boat and this great channel. Just gives such a calm feeling from watching it. Thanks Nick, you are awesome!
Also everything about Nicks videos overflows with positivity. The content obviously, but also the comment section. It seems like Nick brings out the best from his viewers. Pretty incredible.
I'm glad you're enjoying it! 🙂
What a Cleverly engineered boat, great use of space, can’t believe it is only a 30ft boat. Great tour Nick
Thank you!
A really nice boat, amazing how it feels and looks much larger.
What a beautiful interior design, the wood really lifts the space to another level, brilliant. Amazing use of space, very appealing.
Excellent tour as per usual, take care and stay safe. 👍👍👍⛴🛳🏴☠️🛥🚤☠⛵🚢⚓😎⛄⛄⛄
I always enjoy these videos, he’s so nice and does a really good job with the walk arounds.
That is one heck-of-a lotta boat for 30 feet. Always nice to see a clever boat.
As a first timer considering a boat, love these small sail boat tours! Even sub 30 foot sailboats would be most welcome!
Lovely little boat for single-handed sailing. If you want a new renowned brand sailboat, this might well be it. I did not originally want to start sailing, as I am more into powerboats, but a cousin of mine who sails and wants to start sailing with his son as a father-son hobby kinda "convinced" me to make a sailboat's licence the sea as well and sail with them from time to time.
Something I could actually buy! Financed, but could buy! and wind power as I always ask for. LOVE IT.
My Dad had a 1979 Moody 30. Hard to believe both yachts are the same size! Great job in utilizing the space, and great review as always 😉
The Moody 30 was a lovely boat though. Angus Primrose design if I remember rightly
Wow this boat is amazing and so spacious for the size and great tour as always mate thanks Nick cheers 👍🇨🇦
Compact and wonderful boat Nick Sir... Very stylish and moder... Love that white oaks.. Looking great too Nick Sir.. Dashing...
A Few Thoughts:
For a 30 footer... That's a lot of boat Nick...! So much packed into such a tight knit space.
Sailing... Too much damn work at my age. Hell, too much at any age for that matter! I equate it to walking a golf course, or riding a golf cart. Never walked a round in my life, and I've played over 40 years...! Doesn't make sense. If I want exercise - I work out. If I want 'fun' - I ENJOY the ride! Same thing with boats... If I'm on my boat, the last thing I want to do is work at it! If I had an 'owner/operator'... I'd want to do as little work as possible while operating it...!
That said... What a gorgeous craft. Not a single shiny piece of wood on it, yet classy as ever!
Great tour, as always Nick - thank you...!
love this little sail boat great for a couple sailing around the coast. Not big enough for long trips but ideal for weekend or mayb a week Stay Safe Mr Holic
Yay! Bloopers and outtakes at the end are always great. Make the presenter feel more personable. Love it, don't mind showing your goofy side sometimes
What a super little boat. The perfect Weekender.
What a beautiful little boat, well laid out.
That is amazing for a 30 foot boat. Lovely.
Hi Nick. A great sailing yacht. Seen a lot lately on Aquaholic, moody, bavaria and hanse. World cruisers. 2 cabins on a 30ft, light interior and loads of deck space aboard. Great video thanks 😊
Great review as usual Nick! The 30.1 is one of those boats that I had always wanted an Aquaholic tour. Now... A Hallberg Rassy 310 would also be nice... :)
Wow! Gorgeous interior! Impressive storage options, great cabins, lovely galley.. This one has it all, including the smaller size! Sweet! Cheers! (editting to correct some broken english hahaha)
Probably the best channel I’ve came across in quite a while love your videos and style man
Appreciate that
I love when you review these smaller yachts...it gives me a hope that one day, I can afford one :)
A most excellent walk through. Always informative. No ghastly “Muzak” !. This is the way to do things.
Great Job.
Much appreciated!
Really love the Beneteau sailboats! Thanks for the tour, Nick!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thanks again for the sailboat tours! I'm more of an MV guy myself, but I love to see how the "other half" live.
My pleasure!
Nice one Nick - showing such amazing features and well constructed amenities, with a very clever layout including TWO staterooms all on a 30 foot mini yacht. But you thought you fooled me, did you? Well, it took several viewings, but eventually I caught on - it's a sailboat. I'm only disappointed in myself for liking a sailboat. But it is impressive and well fitted. Thanks for real, Nick - hope you're at least smiling about here.
Always enjoy Nick’s videos. Nice distraction from all of the crap we are surrounded by.
Really enjoying these sailing yacht tours, thank you 👍
Glad you like them, more to come!
Grear little boat packed with everything and they have used the space well underneath
What a lovely boat! I particularly love the little chart table!
Love Beneteau, they make both amazing powerboats and sailboats.
Your knowledge is so impressive, you are like the Richard Attenborough of yachting. Thanks for another epic review, have a great week.
You're very kind 🙂
You are wrong. He's definitely George Clooney of yacht world.
@@constantineding8700 Ooh now I Iike that analogy! 😄
@@constantineding8700 No you are wrong, Clooney doesn't know aft from bow, lol
Captain Q is way better and doesn’t use made up words like helmswoman. helms·man
/ˈhelmzmən/
noun
a person who steers a ship or boat.
Great to see some real sailing on your channel.
Keep on 👍
Thanks, will do!
I really like what was done in the living area with the long narrow windows. Privacy, yet still a great view
That’s a lot of boat for the money. Very well fitted out. Really like that one
This felt huge for a 30 footer! Love it nick! Great job!
Glad you liked it!!
Very nice yacht I like these sailing boats and a very light interior.
That's really impressive for 30', clearly the beam carried aft is a great advantage space wise as can be seen by the 'quarter' berth and head size, I'm personally not a massive fan of Beneteau but this is an impressive little boat, don't know if I'd cross an ocean on one although I don't doubt their ability to do so, nice simple well laid out island hopper, a great starter boat, I really do like the twin helms and twin rudders which can only be accomodated by the beam aft although Id be interested to see the steering gear which I imagine might be a bit complicated, although I'm sure there is an element of steerage redundancy built in which is great
What a great use of space. Lovely review.
Nice one, Love these types of boats!
Thank you Nick, In the market to buy a sailing vessel. Have been watching you show motor and sailing vessels and appreciate your knowledge and passion. Hope to see you on the water soon!
Good luck!
Great tour as always, can’t wait for the next one.
Coming soon!
Another sailboat. Many thanks Nick! Seems really good value for money. Not superb quality perhaps but a very reasonable price as well.
Very nice and practical 😀 I always wondered, are there ways for boats with masts to pass under bridges? Or are they constricted by the waterways they can get by without 🤔
They sure have paced a lot into 30’. That is a sharp little boat
Really enjoying these sailboat tours, would love to see a Hanse 675.
As a Owner of a Oceanis 281, it seems so similar. The layout is the same besides a bit more room in the front cabin. Thats where the new hulldesign and bit more length helps. For me the most has changed on the exterior and I really like it. Although i am not sure how useful double steering wheels are on that size and beam of a boat. But still a great vessel
Hello nick, yet once again haha have a good day mate!
Excellent , always enjoy your sailing videos, on a different tack, sorry about the pun, have you consider putting together a series of videos on starter boats and RIBS for under £75k?
Love it! Perfect for me, myself and I!And, it seems very reasonably priced, too. Particularly as it comes with a lifetime supply of free fuel! Great video, as ever, Nick. Thanks for sharing. Belated happy new year, too! All the best. ✌️😎 Edit: is that the brand new price, by the way??
Happy New Year! I think it is the base price, and ex VAT
@@AQUAHOLIC wowzers! Seems like great value, to me! I'll start a new piggybank (my other one's saving for a Beneteau ST41 😉) Thanks for the reply Nick. ✌️😎👌
These types of sailboats always feel so much bigger on the inside. How they managed to fit so much into such a small space boggles the mind.
you know your early when you comment before nick does
Interesting boat it does give you the impression that it's bigger than it looks, nicely fitted out and for a reasonable enough price. Thanks Nick
not a fan of sails, but this is a lovely yacht. Surprisingly light and roomy inside too. They've done a great job with her design.
I didn't see any sails...
@@HyperSarcasticAvocado LOL 2:11 you can see where they're supposed to go.somebody clearly stole them!!
@@patrickmolloy6994 It was you, you sail hater! lol
Hi Nick, just a suggestion. In Portsmouth there’s a really good company called onboard charters that have the fastest 10 seater ribs I’ve ever been on. Give them a contact and maybe see if in the near future they could give you a ride. I know it’s not much of a yacht tour but it’s certainly a sense of shear power for a relatively small vessel. Hope your keeping well through Covid and see you on the other side at the south west sports boat Rally 🤞
Awesome boat Nick, loving the vlogs, stay safe,
Thanks, will do!
Amazing , Love to see a sea trial .
It is maybe the best and most elegant solution and alternative to a decksaloon at this size. Great for people who emphasize on living aboard for a couple of weeks.
Nice to see a sailing yacht from time to time. Even nicer to see a Swift Trawler out through the window!
There's a full tour of that boat on the channel! :)
@@AQUAHOLIC It's a lovely tour. Still waiting for some kind owner to let you loose on an ST50.
Another good tour Nick ..thank you...did I miss the hanging space.?
great job Nick!!! should do some more reviews of 30foot boats!
Thats a beaut..great vid mate
liked before watching the video great job nick
Hope you enjoyed it!
Yeah i didi
Very nice boat Sir thanks for the tour!
Thanks for watching!
Fabulous tour sir Nick thank you from cold snowy Ohio ⛵
Hey there Ohio! Glad you enjoyed it.
for a 30 foot boat it's pretty impressive and deceivingly spacious boat ... well impressed
Nice big refrigerator. Nice boat.
A small freezer would be a nice addition.
I love this sailboat!!!
When you were looking at the storage below the cooker it looked like there was a lift up section of the floor. Was that just extra Storage
Very good, again!
Very nice.
all of that for only £112,000! That is amazing. Put a deep keel on it and you can sail blue water. Well if you change the helm position and protect the stern better
Lovely! I know somebody with one of these on Windermere.
What an ideal sailboat
OMG it’s gorgeous! Want! I wonder though about marine fees for up to 30ft, wonder if 30.1 would take me up to the next category? Cheers!
Most marinas charge to the cm so it would make no difference.
💙👍🏼those lockers could be extra cabins they’re so large 😂🤣
That’s an impressive piece of kit. I wonder what the headroom was in the saloon? Did you have to duck when moving through it?
One to make you smile, the guys at Tudor Sailing Club will have a coronary at the price of what is essentially a 30’ starter boat.
No, full headroom in the saloon
@@AQUAHOLIC that’s impressive Nick.
From about 2010 to 2016 my wife took advantage of theSunSail Flotillas at Vounaki in Greece. The first year was a Jeanneau 32’ and at 6’3” I spent two weeks banging my bald head on the headlining and anything else I could cut, bruise and graze myself on. The remaining years were on a 37’ purely to get the headroom. Nice to know that isn’t the case in the 2020 boats you’re showing us through now. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Hi Nick, can you please do a tour of the Jeanneau 9.0 boat please I’ve waited for a long time to buy one because I want you to do a tour first, thank you!
If I get the opportunity
Love the interior
Beautiful boat.
Great tour but there were access doors in the floor exiting the galley (2)
Nice sailing yacht ⛵️
Surely that locker was big enough for a crew cabin ;-)
Woohoo moar sailboats:)
Nice weekend cruiser.
