I always thought that the X3 theme got undeserved hate. The variation they used for the actual credits was a little weak but the main track is actually pretty neat. However I still agree that X2’s theme was the best and I’m glad they brought it back.
I know they aren't fully accurate to the comics, but I love x men, x2, first class, days of future past, apocalypse, and deadpool. X2, first class, and days of future past are three of the best comic book movies ever made. For me x men and x 2 still hold up

Regarding just the score... X-Men - has a dark yet simple tone which is pretty befitting for the whole movie. X2 - revolutionize the X-Men theme. X3 - it's okay First Class - they should have made it longer and used the song that plays at the end credits. Days of Future Past and Apocalypse - the best openings of all

X3 was great because of Storm. Period. I remember screaming when I saw her spinning!!! That part alone was dope. DOFP was great. So I would say X1-3 and DOFP.

I still really like the opening to First Class, sure it wasn't like X2, DoFP, Apocalypse or X3, why? because during those movies, the X-Men were a thing in the storyline, it makes sense for FC to have a hopeful and unsure dramatic sound like it did, it takes place before Charles and Eric founded the X-Men nor the Brotherhood of Mutants.
It would’ve been really cool also if they remastered and kept the tune from the old cartoon X-Men intro. I think people from our gen would’ve been like “Oh yeah! Reliving our childhood once more!” Lollll
In the Apocalypse opening: The repeat of symbols interpreted as Xs was clever: the top of the pyramids, then the Cross, the swastika, the hammer & sickle...
dang, people really like DoFP and Apocalypse's intros more than X3? they were just shitty electronica arrangements of X2's brilliant theme with increasingly cartoony visuals. X3's destroys them both. good score, and subtle visuals that actually related to the plot. Apocalypse had random CGI garbage floating around complete with Jesus and a swastika wtf lol
Yeah X2 was the perfect start to the Xmen cinematic theme, but then they just threw that stuff away and decided to bring in a generic "lab production" scene and some new piece of crap theme... Oh yeah Mute it as well.
Oh well I actually stayed through it. But I was barely 10 and I just dealt with the awful music so I could see Cyclops. I had a dead expression a quarter of the way through the movie. Least I liked Beast.

I grew up with x-men and this movie was the first to watch....I was about 10 or younger when it came out. While the filming style is a bit outdated and the visual effects are not excellent(but not bad either considering that it came out almost 20 years ago), in my eyes it does not compare with the new movies(besides Logan which was the very best of them all)......Sadly the new x-men movies adrress a much younger audience, focusing mainly on visual effects and silly 2016(+) lines....And that produces a cringy result. I wish producers were more punctual with stories like those. Now I feel like there wasn't a need for me to watch any of the movies in order to watch and connect with the new ones...... I will never forget how excited I was back then, when I saw the Wolverine for the first time in a movie.....What a time to live as a kid! And I do not believe I will ever forget the feeling of how Logan ended. I felt like an important thing in my life run it's circle. It felt kinda bitter.....
This is just my opinion but i really live Professor X over Wolverine mainly due to his capability that we saw in like apocalypse and Logan he has the capability to wipe out anything from a small city to a continient using only his mind and ceribro (i hope i spelled everything right) plus he thinks logically

Casting Patrick Stewart as Charles Xavier was one of the best decisions ever made.

There's NOTHING "electronica" about either. DoFP just used an electric guitar, and Apocalypse took advantage of the orchestra and choir.
