Nice zoom bro. Great to see Olympic area again. 2013 seems like yesterday but lot has changed on coast. Imagine that old airport will soon be converted to a modern park with 6 star integrated hotel and casino and few top class high rises with museums and aquarium and super yachts.

Is that actually a windy landing? I think it was a smooth one. Anyway, I experienced a really difficult and stormy approach on 21R. It was with an OA Bombardier Dash 8- q 400 . You know how southern wind looks like, with all that gusts and gaps. That was a really turbulent landing...

The approach was quite windy and turbulent but the pilots managed to land very smoothly ! One of the smoothest landing i experienced ! Yeah, southern wind is really uncomfortable for flying.

GREEKpwr Εχω την εντυπωση πως οταν δεν υπαρχει βιασυνη στο αεροδρομιο τα φρενα μπαινουν στο μινιμουμ η χρησιμοποιουνται ελαχιστα, ωστε να μειωνεται η φθορα στο διαδρομο και τα λαστιχα. Εχω παρατηρησει π.χ. επειδη πολλες φορες φτανω βραδυ, οπου δεν υπαρχουν αναχωρησεις, οτι τρωει ολο το διαδρομο συνηθως. Μπορει να κανω και λαθος βεβαια, επισης μπορει να σχετιζεται και με την πυλη και το taxiway που θα χρησιμοποιηθει.

Γενικότερα κάθε διάδρομος είναι διαφορετικός. Δεν μπορώ να σου μάθω το κάθε τι που υπάρχει σε έναν διάδρομο αλλά να ξες ότι έχει 2 μεγάλα σημεία όπου το αεροσκάφος θα πρέπει να ακουμπήσει στο έδαφος. Η Aegean απότι ξέρω το έχει αυτό με αποτέλεσμα να κάνει καλύτερο landing. Τα brakes μπαίνουν στο Medium την ώρα που βρίσκονται στον αέρα και κάνουν ARM τα manual brakes.

Did the pilot request the flaps to go down?

It was a normal use of flaps for the approach and they use spoilers in order to reduce speed
