Excellent! I was using a small screwdriver to push on the shaft while I pulled the props. The Tinyhawk II comes equipped with 4-bladed props, but I had to pull them to remove a big wad of hair all four motors reeled in!

Stock runs a bit tighter to the frame by the looks of it, which may yield more efficient power in the end. Those newer ones seem to be quite a bit shorter yet have a more aggressive pitch to them.
Wow man ,, this just made me realize why I couldnt flip my gt with emax avan Blur props . I bet all Emax avan have no opposite thrust vector ..... Really awesome you noticed this feature . I really really ,, did I say really like Emax Blurs on my little birds ,, They are indestructible little props . which is the downside as really bad crashes can strip out the prop nuts but theres 4 holes so whatever.... yes I like exax props but always end up digging holes and stripping out the prop nuts whatever using turtle mode with it and I pretty much stopped using it..

The alternative props now stick out way below the frame to catch and hit a bunch of crap. Also, without the camber of the original prop, upright flight is less efficient. Lastly, as others have pointed out, you need to change the setting in BF to only turtle with two motors.
Well now, Emax has responded with 4 bladed props that works with turtle mode. However, what setting in Betaflight can be changed to turtle mode with 2 motors? I have heard people mention that only 2 motors should turn but never has anyone showed or explained how.. show and prove. Also, the battery holder raises the props well up off the ground so there is no problem with props hitting the ground. Lastly, the Racerstar 1535 just happens to be a less efficient prop. Although, the LDARC 1535 Tri-Props don't have a "camber" and is as efficient as the stock props if not better..
Nice video mate. I have the same quad but the issue with my quad is that it feels underpowered and it eats up the battery voltage really fast, like a small punch will drop the voltage from 3.9 to 3.2 and after some time the voltage will get back but there is some issue with the settings I assume. Can you please tell me what it could be? Also can you please share the settings of your tinyhawk ?
Could definitely be the battery. May need to set your voltage warning a little higher for your new batteries. Flying the quad past the LVC warning can damage the batteries
So I have a original thawk but damn it's weak and can't do split s without death wobble.. what should I do? Has 4blade and also every crash a prop pops off. To bad I didn't spend money on a toothpick beushless instead of this...so maybe a humquad hx100?

Pusher motors or props.. That seems superior to me. But I guess it has to be on a frame like this or you would always be landing and digging in with your props.. maybe that is why most quads don't?

Another reason for wanting to remove the prop is if you put the wrong one on the wrong motor... e.g. should have been clockwise but was anti. Ooops. Your twisting method worked much better than an alternative 'press on the shaft with something pointy whilst pulling on the prop with your fingers' method.
I think it flies better with the Avan Tinyhawk Props that come stock. The four bladed props have more draw but turtle mode works with it. Guess it comes down to whether you want turtle mode or not. Thanks for checking 👍🏽

You have several transmiter(radio)/receiver(goes on the quad) protocols like Frsky or Flysky and others. A Frsky RX will only work with a Frsky TX and a Flysky RX will only work with a Flysky TX. RX=Receiver, TX=transmiter.

So far, I haven't found a prop that flies it better or more efficient than the stock Avans. These props are slower, cut flight time but works with turtle mode. I was gonna try cut down Avan 2 inch quad-blades with 2 blades removed resulting in bi-blades but plugged in a 2S battery first and killed the little bird! 🤣😂🤣😆

So now the props are sticking out of the bottom and hitting the floor? Turtle mode doesn't look like it is working right, it should just spin 2 motors not all four!?!?!
I didn't touch anything, that's the way it's working out of box. Also, the props don't touch the floor, there is a battery bay that lifts it up and the front and back edges would have cleared it if the battery and bay saw not there..
It's a tunable feature in betaflight and emax set it to 20% mix. Its to push/pull at the same time and it's extremely helpful for brushless whoops that just slide around when trying to flip back over.
Dang, I have some of those little orange bull nose props, but I seriously doubt I will ever be able to remove one of these tiny props from my Tinyhawk without wrecking something!

I only flew one pack with it all stock and immediately went to pmb. I couldn’t fly stock rates at all. Lol.
theses spokes should have been thickened up at the connections points on that frame and they are absolutely the weakest point on this quad. its a shame. hope they will sell frames for cheap. or even update it if it becomes a huge issue.
So frustrating every video I look up on prop removal only shows these baby drones that you pop the props off of. Nothing shows videos on how to remove props from a drone that requires a tool just got my drone 2.5 inch tinyhawk 2 freestyle and I have no idea what tool you use to remove them and nothing online or RUclips says how. It's like it's a secret 😂
I guess I can try to squeeze in a video on how to remove props for brushless drones but I feel like I have already done a video on it or at least reviewed tools that are made to remove the props. I think I have 3 different tools made for that. 👌🏿
I had to remove the motors and literally cut them off. Even after cut, they still weren't coming out... literally glued to the motor. I had to use 2 pliers and grab 2 of the wings after I cut them all the way thru and pull them til the plastic broke to get them off. What the actual fuck...
Not true, this was added to help when brushless whoops came out. You can adjust the percentage in betaflight (emax set it to 20%), but what it does is push/pull at the same time to try and help plant the one side while it attempts to lift the other. It works well on a lot of whoops that wouldn't normally be able to flip with the standard setting.
That is not how you do it, lol. Just as written in the instructions of the product you use the supplied screwdriver to press against the metal plate that holds the motor, that makes removing props very easy without risk of damageing the frame
Frequent Flyer RC I’ve changed them countless times. If you do it the way they describe it the props just come off quickly. I think you still risk breaking it that way. By the way there are turtle mode props that properly fit on the emax motor, I got mine from amazon.

Are you using GnB batteries?

The 2S upgrade is a little better. But this one should be able to split S no problem.
Try new batteries.

Yes it is, you can find a serial Rx and 3.3v pad on the bottom for DSMX receivers 👍🏽
How do you switch it into Turtle mode? None of the instructions I got with my Emax tiny Hawk talks about Turtle mode
You can connect to Betaflight and set turtle mode up to a switch. Try auxiliary switch 3 if you have switched set up already on the transmitter

I love the ET100 but it's heavier, this is a true indoor quad!
There are now 4 bladed evan props just like the stock props, but they work with turtle mode.
I know but you can't get them anywhere and Emax hasn't sent me any..

Oh I increased the pitch of self level mode and removed a lot of expo. It was set really low in Betaflight at like 40 and I put it to 75

I think your problem with turtle is that it turns all props instead of only two at once
How could that happen? (cause) Nick Burns said his doesn't flip over in turtle mode either and they came that way outta box too..
all of the motors arent suppost to spin when using turtle mode though.

Actually it isn't. This frame is insanely durable, and don't break at all.
It's kinda funny all the other quads fly better with 4 and they was trying to sell us 3 blade saying they was best...now everyone went back to 2 or 4
It's all preferences (3 blades give more flight time than 4 in most cases) 😜

That is not how you do it, lol.
Just as written in the instructions of the product you use the supplied screwdriver to press against the metal plate that holds the motor, that makes removing props very easy without risk of damageing the frame

If you do it the way they describe it the props just come off quickly.
I think you still risk breaking it that way.
By the way there are turtle mode props that properly fit on the emax motor, I got mine from amazon.

@@FrequentFlyerRC if you do it a lot it will ruin your sticks spring elasticity... I'm usually on a low budget so I prefer to keep the quality of my stuff the best I can... I think it happened to my dad cause he told me about it...
Well in Devo transmitters you can literally adjust the spring elasticity! Not 100 percent but I think you can do that in a Taranis as well..
