- Our traditional Putong Bigas -- the kind that our grandmothers used to make, the kind that goes through fermentation, and comes out of the steamer with a pretty crack on top.
Mrs. Galang developed her version and shortened the process, and used rice flour instead of rice for her galapong or rice dough. Watch this video to see how she did it.

Thank you Mrs Galang for your unselfish efforts to create a very good product! I will surely try this one. I remember also the Puto cooked by my late grandmother and my mother looks the same. This is made out of galapong which we ground together. This is yummy with Sotanghon soup!
