- Hiking Mt. Karakunidake, a volcano on the border of Miyazaki and Kagoshima prefectures. During this winter trek, we saw fantastic views of Onami Lake, Mt. Takachiho, and other peaks in the distance. An amazing winter climb!

Gotcha!
- Head: Knit hat and scarf
- Body: Uniqlo Heat tech, athletic dry fit long sleeve, Uniqlo down vest, zip up shell, (additional down jacket at the top)
- Legs: Uniqlo heat tech, fleece lined wind/ water pants (Amazon)
- Feet: Wool socks, On Cloud Shoes
- Gloves: Thick ones from Daiso (could have used another layer or something better though).
It all worked fine except the summit was still pretty cold and very windy!
