Shirakawa-go Village in Gifu, Japan | Winter Japan Vlog | 白川郷、岐阜

This winter I headed to Shirakawa-go in Gifu, Japan! Shirakawa-go is located in Japan's Northern Alps and is a designated UNESCO World Heritage site. During my stay, I walked the village streets, admired the "gassho-zukuri" farmhouses, and enjoyed local delicacies like mulberry leaf miso pork and sweet and salty "gohei mochi".
Since most travelers only visit Shirakawa-go during the daytime, spending the night allows you to experience a unique beauty and quietness in the village from dusk until dawn. See what it is like in this video!
