The Lion King is the highest-grossing Disney Renaissance film. Its immense popularity led to the creation of a franchise and later a critically panned, but commercially successful, photorealistic CGI remake.
My one of my favorite Disney classes has to be like Aladdin The Lion King Pocahontas Beauty and the Beast and the Little Mermaid and Toy Story and Mulan
15:24 Alan Menken was so great at writing the songs for "Aladdin" that they had to credit him twice. 26:0 He looks like a reused version of Lucifer. It's interesting how in the "Mulan" trailer, the Emperor says, "Endangered the lives of thousands of men" cause he doesn't say that in the movie. 54:57 That's Christina Milian, who sang the iconic "Call Me Beep Me (If You Wanna Reach Me)" for "Kim Possible." I immediately recognized her, though she introduced herself as "Tina." I can't believe I figured it out!
Beauty and The Beast number one in 1991 box office, Aladdin number one in 1992 box office and The Lion King number one in 1994 box office They are special for a lot of reasons. Especially for the awesome fact that Beauty and The Beast is the first animated movie in history to win an award
The first animated movie to win an Oscar was “Silly Symphonies” in 1932. It was also by Disney. And Pinocchio won an award for Best Song in 1940 Now BatB was the first full length animated movie to be NOMINATED for Best Picture, but it didn’t win. It did break records by being the first animated film to receive 6 Oscar nominations (but only won two - Best Score and Best Original song!).
@@olvialee7221 It is, yes, but it still holds the record for being the first animated film to win an award. But again, id it doesn’t meet your qualifications, Pinnochio is a full film and won for best song. My point was BATB was not the first animated movie in history to win an award. Disney animated movies had about five awards under their belt by the time it was made.

38:46 is the first preview of “ George of the Jungle”, in live-action and it shows the film of Brandon Fraser swinging a vine in the middle of the jungle, it was one of my favorite movies ever before he did the film “The Whale” in 2022. What a great movie and difference between the two movies over the years.❤

@@nathancruz91722010 is the sorcerers apprentice.
@@nathancruz9172 There’s a movie inspired by the Mickey’s The Sorcerer’s Apprentice in the movie Fantasia. In 2010, they did a movie called The Sorcerer’s Apprentice starring Nicholas Cage and Jay Barrachel
@@olvialee7221 that’s right.
When you look back, you’d be surprised that The Rescuers and The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh were both released in 1977 alongside Star Wars: A New Hope.
PLUS, The Little Mermaid came out in the same year as The Simpsons first episode release in 1989
My sister and I used to have those films on VHS (I re-bought Tarzan on 2-Disc Collector's Edition DVD years later).
9:25 I did a stained glass painting of the rose for my senior finals for British Literature class.
As someone who grew up with this era i can relate if we couldn't see it when it was in theaters used to wait until it was on VHS and my mom would go online and see if any video stores had them for sale 😂😂 long before everything was a streaming service miss those days ❤❤
Just saw Wish and loved it!
The Lion King is the highest-grossing Disney Renaissance film. Its immense popularity led to the creation of a franchise and later a critically panned, but commercially successful, photorealistic CGI remake.
meh
26:44 if you didn’t catch this, Frank Wells passed away during production of Lion King
Looking at my picture in my room, I almost forgot that I watched a movie in Disneyland theaters with my mom and dad. The movie is Racing Stripes
I will always love Disney no matter what.
My one of my favorite Disney classes has to be like Aladdin The Lion King Pocahontas Beauty and the Beast and the Little Mermaid and Toy Story and Mulan

The 1990s, Disney's most golden decade🔥🔥🔥
happy 100th anniversary disney!!! :3
still have fond memories of these especially the disneyland ones.
Fantastic video,as Lion King's and Pocahonta's song !!!
I remember these movies and they're on Disney plus.
Walt Disney might be gone but I think he’d be proud
My favorite Disney era!
One of my favorite Disney memories is wearing my Jasmine Halloween shoes to school. My teacher would always call me twinkle toes
1:03:38 And there’s more excitement coming your way from Disney
1:05:16 Who else never got to experience the old Disney website?

Back when Disney commercials were good. People in the 90's and 2000's really did make good stuff. People right now ruined Disney.
"People in the 90's and 2000's really did make good stuff."
Please add the 70s and 80s too.
@@robroy6374 of course of course. You're not wrong about that. In fact I also forgot about the 30s, 40s, 50s, and 60s Disney movies too.
Lion king is the one I have the most nostalgia for
that narrator’s voice.🏆
national treasure.
Beauty and The Beast number one in 1991 box office, Aladdin number one in 1992 box office and The Lion King number one in 1994 box office
They are special for a lot of reasons. Especially for the awesome fact that Beauty and The Beast is the first animated movie in history to win an award
The first animated movie to win an Oscar was “Silly Symphonies” in 1932. It was also by Disney. And Pinocchio won an award for Best Song in 1940
Now BatB was the first full length animated movie to be NOMINATED for Best Picture, but it didn’t win. It did break records by being the first animated film to receive 6 Oscar nominations (but only won two - Best Score and Best Original song!).
@@Sphynxle Silly Syhompies is a short film
@@olvialee7221 It is, yes, but it still holds the record for being the first animated film to win an award. But again, id it doesn’t meet your qualifications, Pinnochio is a full film and won for best song. My point was BATB was not the first animated movie in history to win an award. Disney animated movies had about five awards under their belt by the time it was made.
@@SphynxleI know it’s been a year but I also love making a point.
Now, I have all the Disney Renaissance era on blu rays and 📀.
7 months late, but nice.

Oh wait. What about…Opening to ALL DISNEY SEQUELS ON VHS?!
1:06:42-1:06:43 What, no time for the ATTACK? When I say “the Attack”, I mean the thing that was the Predatory Antagonist of the Disney Film. In other words… this. “Original plans called for Tyrannosaurus Rex for the Movie & the Disney Attraction ride at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park in Walt Disney World. But it was instead replaced by a recently discovered Dinosaur in the mid 1980S called Carnotaurus.”
@@dylangeltzeiler946 I couldn’t use the whole trailer since it got copyright claimed. But I still wanted to show as much of the trailer as possible so I just cut straight to The Egg Travels scene.

Disney has come a long way from the very short film Steamboat Willie starring Mickey Mouse
My Childhood
42:00 there you go. Tinkerbell in the logo. Mandela effect solved.
Tinker Bell is my Aunt’s favorite character. She’s my dad’s brother. I actually made her a crochet necklace with Tinker Bell as the main center
It’s supposed to be her flying above the castle her wand not working her getting mad and shaking it and it worked
I hardly watched any Disney things except for when I was little I remember that scene I thought to watch this video incase it showed up somehow
I guess it’s truly a ME without proof
