This is such a god tier album. Definitely one of my top 10 favorite albums and I don’t even really fuck with hip hop. Screw doesn’t get enough recognition for the implementation of psychedelia in his music. Sure this is like being on opiates but there’s so much psychedelic undertones throughout. He was such a visionary.
I remember in 7th grade someone passed by my crib jamm some screw and I was like dam I gotta find out the name of that jam. I hit up soundwaves at North line mall and was looking at the wall of tapes and was like dam how am I ever gonna find that jam I didn't even know the name of it or who sang it. @@mefaun yeah I see that, with some vaporwave. but there is also some that is more focused on and reminiscent of 90s early computer technology/elevator music, with more of a kitschy ironic midi sort of sound (if that makes sense). I prefer the more ambient, electronic driven stuff that is not as derivative. I can definitely hear screw all over deaths dynamic shroud.wmv and some others.
