This tutorial really helped me. I was working with a client who wanted a memorial-type image of her dad behind her. After not getting the desired look, I was fortunate enough to have found this tutorial that helped me achieve the look for the piece. Thank you.

thank you so much for this tutorial! I’ve been scouring the internet to find how to create this look. I just took creative portraits for a local and this is just perfect!

Good video. Do you have any updates or shortcuts you found since making this video?

Things always get faster! What part do you wish was faster or easier to do?

Jpegs Are Not The Enemy I was just asking since making the video, if you found some shortcuts? I noticed the video was a year old and maybe you’d found a different way in doing it. Also how do I get a laser background like the you had?

How were they able to do this back in the day with out digital cameras or Photoshop?

I believe they were mostly done with laser backdrops, although I'm sure it was done in the darkroom too. A lot of things in Photoshop have their roots in chemical darkroom techniques.

    1. Jimmy is adorable tell him I love him
    2. You left part of the Laser on Jimmy and I think you really need to pay more attention to the small details if you're going to call yourself a "professional" :)
