      That should be common sense, you never used windows as a mirror or looked at windows to see the reflection of a cute girl instead of staring at her haha, and here’s another tip if people are inside a house and the lights are on more and likely they can’t see out the windows, if you’re doing recon or something around an enemy compound, I’m not military I’m just always thinking

    Great information. I love the bit about framed pictures. I live alone so I would never need to clear my home. I have it set up so all the cool goodies are out in the front rooms to steal. When I yell the police are on the way so GTFO, intruders best grab what they can and git. It’s all insured so if it gets stolen I get an upgrade. If the intruders try to come in the bedroom the police will need a mop and squeegee to collect their remains.

    This is fantastic; shoot houses tend to just be concrete or plywood with very little or no decoration. In a house in the US, you're looking at lots of glass on the wall, and more often than not, gloss or semi-gloss paint that will reflect even the smallest amounts of light.

Also great realistic example that you will have areas of vulnerability. We cant always have zero risk or complete cover. CQB, whether team or solo is worst case and has inherent risks. Speed via dynamic versus slow and methodical is situational. PMac is an elite trained warrior, but even so cant negate all risks. I love these reality based videos brother. Please keep em coming.

    If you've gotta go upstairs you're just screwed unless you guess where the intruder is correctly by incident. If you're watching the front and left or right, depending on where the wall is, you're not watching your back at the top of the staircase. Of course houses all have different layouts so maybe you have walls on both sides and there's no opening at the back of the stairs and all you gotta watch is in front of you but good luck at the top. It's a tricky scenario to have to clear a house and very dangerous if the people are armed like you.

    @ph5915 2 года назад +1

    I always enjoy and learn a lot from you, a true expert on many things. I have never owned or shot firearms. But a thought occurred to me with the house-clearing routine. Given that most houses in the US are 2x4 and drywall walls, how common is it that the intruder is also armed? Even being careful and using walls as concealment/cover, if they are armed and shoot back, wouldn't a typical 9mm handgun still shoot through a typical wall? I might think (if I was armed) maybe if I were upstairs I might stay upstairs and stay hidden awaiting them to come upstairs, and vice-versa if I were downstairs. Of course, all bets are off if they see you or a loved one is in harm's way also.

    • @ArmaGuyz
      @ArmaGuyz 2 года назад +1

      So always assume your burglar is armed they are not going to bust in your house with nothing to protect themselves from being attacked while robbing you. They know its America and most people have guns. One thing to remember about thieves is they look for the path of least resistance so they are very familiar with how to do things. First things first.. They scope... . They are going to pick the path of least resistance, no cameras... no lights... nothing that has people home coming and going all the time if they can avoid it... They learn your habits once they have chosen your house they look for a time you are not awake or are gone.
      MOST THIEVES DO NOT WANT A HOME INVASION SITUATION. THEY DONT WANT CONFRONTATION. So even if they can shoot through a wall unless they are being shot at by you through it they probably WILL NOT DO SO. There is no reason to take a simple burglary or B&E and elevate it to Murder. Criminals have lives too and are stealing because its easy money they are not stealing to risk their lives and get in a gun fight with someone but you cant assume as they could be higher than a kite on drugs and not care. Thats why they typically if armed just use the guns to intimidate the home owners into giving them their money and belongings and Leave. The Problem is you cant assume this. The Burglar may not be a simple Thief. As far as walls go...
      Something that comes into play here is CONCEALMENT VS COVER. Typically the average person will not shoot at what they can not see. So in a situation where you are not able to be seen most people will not ring out shots and draw unwanted attention. If they fire youll probably fire. If they fire someone will probably call the cops which leaves them only a few brief mins to get out. Concealment is being hid Cover is being behind protection.
      A typical 9mm will most certainly go straight through the wall yes. Some claim with insulation it can be stopped BS. It'll go right through especially if they are ball rounds. I'm going to direct you to Paul Harrels RUclips he has done many tests on this and you can learn a thing or two about concealment vs Cover. He does alot of tests on what is cover and what isnt from cars, dryers and kitchen appliances, to mattresses and blankets hell even canned goods.

      Just like pictures with glass can be used as reflection tools both ways... So too can any electronic item if the criminal is smart enough.
      Did you know that there are sites which show the camera feeds of random homeowners the moment they buy them and install them because they dont set up a secured network?
      A family was being monitored on one of these sites and a network TV special they did actually went to the house because of how easy it was to find them using their cameras.
      Secure your routers and password them change that default password. Secure your PC make sure you have your firewall turned on and antivirus. Monitor your data useage on your phone any large spikes in data can be indicators youre not the only one getting that information.
      Monitor your packets sent from the network know your Camera network like you know your own home so that if it is compromised you will know and can remedy the situation. Monitor your internet traffic. USE IP Tracker links to test if anyone else is clicking the things you are sending besides those who you want to and clicking the things you are sent besides you. ONLY PUT CAMERAS IN YOUR HOME IF YOU ARE WILLING TO DO RESEARCH ON THAT BRAND AND THE SAFETY OF AND PRIVACY OF THEM AND TAKE THE INITIATIVE TO RUN A COMPLETELY SECURED NETWORK. Because if you are not willing to do so...
      What you are doing is showing the would be criminal your every move and how you act and think. Someone in your network could gather soooo much information that they would never even have to step foot in your home to rob you. Think about it.

    Pat, I’ve always thought of the stairs as a fatal funnel point to my advantage especially if I’m already upstairs. If I’m calling the police and announcing to an intruder that I’ve done so and they continue to advance towards and up the stairs, I would already be positioned and ready to start sending party favors their way. Is this also an advisable tactic or should you be moving down the stairs to engage?

    • @onpsxmember
      @onpsxmember 2 года назад +2

      Just my 2 cents: If you don't have a good reason for it stay in your advantageous position while on the phone.
      If someone is downstairs potentially harming a loved one then you have to go down to look for them. The situations dictates what is advisable. Room clearing alone should be avoided if possible. The chances you get surprised by an intruder are far lower than a house fire. Have extinguishers in your bedroom, bigger ones somewhere central to help neighbours and for the garage.

    • @gsg9ff
      @gsg9ff 2 года назад

      I think you have answered your question. Why would you risk stepping into the stairwell and leave cover? Imagine several armed intruders with AR's in different shooting positions down there and here you come barely creeping downstairs with blurry vision from being abruptly awakened. They will have the tactical advantage. Stay in your position and fire a few warning shots in a safe direction or into the lobby if no friendly's downstairs to let them know you aint fuckin around, they will most likely think twice about sticking it out or proceeding your way.

    Hey a while back you had mentioned there was a guy that commented saying he made a mistake in life which who hasn’t but the way I understand the law anyone can purchase black powder revolver Felon or not so maybe that is an option for him

      I'd honestly just suggest a repeating crossbow. Some are cheap, some are very spendy.
      But at least it will fire everytime and you don't have to worry about chain fire or some user error blowing off your hand. And I believe those with mistakes can own crossbows

    People never talk about refections and strategic placement of photos and art for mirrors.
    Funny how you can tell you are watching a man who doesn't have to tell ya to prove he has "done the things"

    If there is no family upstairs you go out the front door and move away from the house. Losing some property is more desirable than killing a person/people and turning your world upside down. Less expensive too.

    Everyone amazed that he's smart enough to use the reflection but no one realizes there's only a reflection because it's daytime.
    Unless there's street lights or it's a really bright night there's not going to be much of a reflection at 11pm or 2am

    Everyone sleeps upstairs at my house. My plan of action if someone breaks into my house, is to set up at top of stairs and make them a fatal funnel for any intruder. I'll wait for police to arrive to clear home

    Why would you call and not your wife in a home invasion? Unless your alone at home. Our plan is I go hunting while she dials 911 and is also armed and behind concealment. Am I wrong in this?

      In my area we're calling our neighbor - he's got the excavator. No way are we ever dialing 911 - they don't show up for a couple hours.

    Stairwells suck, especially in a big building and it’s back to back heel to heel
