Thanks I have 09 Jetta 2.5 you saved me a lot of TIME. Other reviews show a lot of twisting and having to remove the fan first. Its ok but with limited space It was easier to remove the fan after front end was removed. THANKS !!
I got lucky with my car bro. I have the 2.0t and I got the radiator and fan out from behind and it fell under the cars reinstalled the new one from the bottom. Never removed any portion of the bumper
100% - if you have 2.0T this is an 1hr job to get it out - don't need to remove ANYTHING on the front, just take off the intercooler piping and airbox in the back, then take out fans, then radiator
Question so that bracket looking thing at 16:52 that’s right next to that rusty bolt. I think it’s a bracket mine broke in half and have a replacement one but I’m not sure if it screws or what?
"A lotta bolts"....use an old muffin tin for keeping them sorted while uninstalled. "Rusty screws" .... always use the smallest wrench or screwdriver possible before grabbing the bigger ones.

What are the two plastic pieces under the headlights? @ 4:30 @gtflips
Your car looks rusty just like mine does. It makes an easy job much harder.
Rust always makes it more complicated lol
