I do hope I start to get results like this with my new Neo! That skull is way cool! I know it's not all the airbrush it's the artist but having the right tool for the job really does go along way too! I've got a couple of the sparmax sc35 it's really good but ordered a neo today
Well I got neo and it's ok not great my sparmax with a 0.2 needle is the dogs bollocks though! But that's because it's only the 0.3 needle just now for a cheaper airbrush and a 0.2 in it I think it'll perform well

SK brush. your art is awesome!!!!!! even answered an question I had in mind as I'm very interested in the iwata neo cn for fine detailing,clearly can do the job...as for the guys insults about stencil use probably just jealous they can't get this good looking art with or with out so they knit picking to make themselves feel better instead of simply practicing to get better.the entire detailing of the skull was clearly free handed stencil just used for layout like a rough sketch....I really like how this piece came out!!!! and thanks for posting videos I'm learning a lot from you as a graffiti artist going into airbrush keep up the amazing work brother!!!!!
Ryan I own the iwata neo and it's not a bad airbrush but if your gonna use it alot I would just get the iwata eclipse. It will last a lot longer easier to disassemble and clean.

I have that same airbrush but seem to get alot of over spray and can never do a nice dot it will make a spider web type of effect when trying to do a fine line or dot

This is fantastic! I love how you build the contrast as you go in layers. I would love to learn how to airbrush like this. How long did it take for you to get in the swing of it when you first started?

Been using double action brushes for years on model kits but want to segway into this kind of art. I'm wondering if I can get away with using my modelling TAMIYA paint?

Where did you find that strange piece of fiberglass you're using near the end of the video to get that neat organic texture around the flourishes? Nice work, by the way. Where are you in Germany? I'm originally from a village called Frankershausen, near Eschwege.
Yes Germany Dinkelsbühl (Mittelfranken / Bayern). Thats only smaller piece form Fiberglassmat. I`ve plucked pieces from bigger fiberglass mat to those small pieces and use them for that structure...

Im Video wird die Schablonenvorlage für den Skull versprochen. Auf der genannten Internetseite finde ich jedoch nichts? Wer kann mir da weiterhelfen?
Hi vielen Dank, ja den Shop gibt es inzwischen leider nicht mehr. jedoch gibt es einen step by step Bereich und aktuell verfügbare Downloads auf der Seite. Ggf. wird dies in Zukunft noch weiter ausgebaut sobald wir mehr zeit haben! :)

what do you use to wipe it clean?
fibric cloth, the point is that the colors are solvent based, so they're dry fast (by fly)

+busterbbe im working with Iwata Custom Micron C 2+ | 0,18 mm, that`s the best one i ever work with. In my opinion is that the best one.

so if i understand airbrush is damn good for poeple like me who draw caracters like a russian 10yo kid but who are supper good at effect and lightning :) My next step is purchasing a paper cutter because 3d print is not really fast for stencil and low res.
we use a plotter and laser for producing stencils .

Roberto Zolin Thank you. Air pressure is 3.0 Bar / 43~ PSI The needle was from that Iwata Neo CN 0.35 size.

Sieht echt super aus. Möchte auch anfangen zu airbrushen. Deshalb möchte ich mal bei Euch fragen auf was für einem Untergrund Ihr in diesem Video gebrusht habt.
Auf schwarz sieht es super aus. kann man den nach dem brushen sofort mit einem Lappen darüber wischen??
Danke! Untergrund war eine schwarze Acrylplatte. Mittlerweile nehmen wir Aludibon Platten zu meist als untergrund, gibts auch bei usn im shop. War lösemittelfarbe darum konnte man praktisch gleich drüber wischen

Würde mich auf jeden Fall für Eure Schablonen interessieren. Denke die sind noch gut geeignet wen man anfange will zu "Airbrushen"
Was für Farbe würdet Ihr mir dann empfehlen für den anfang??
Die Aludibon Platten sind bereits schwarz oder weiss beschichtet erhältlich. Ja in die Schweiz liefern wir auch per DHL. Ja die Schablonen sind für Anfänger wie auch Profis sehr gut geeignet. Wir empfehlen Createx Illustration oder Wicked Colors.
Vielen lieben Dank für die Antwort und Euer bemühen. Werde auf jeden Fall mal nach dem Neujahr schauen ob ich bei Euch Schablonen bestellen kann. Werde mich mal hier erkundigen ob ich die Aludibond Platten auch bekommen kann und auch die Farbe die Ihr mir empfohlen habt.
Sonst würde ich das dann auch bei Euch bestellen. Aber die Schablonen bestelle ich auf jeden Fall. Finde diese super und sie gefallen mir auch sehr gut und erleichtern mir auf jeden Fall den einstieg in die "Airbrush-Welt"

Würdet ihr ein Anfänger ehr die Iwata oder die H&S Ultra Empfehlen und wen ja warum .
+The Splashrider Ultra hat einen kleinen Farbbecher und die Nadel kannst du nicht freilegen (vorne Kappe runter), würde einem Anfänger wenn er günstig einsteigen möchte eher die Iwata NEO CN empfehlen.

Fabrizio Favale Have you taken the tip off? You want the needle exposed at the tip so you don't need the very end attachment for the fine lines.

when does cutting a stencil, and 4x'n your footage speed count as speed painting? lol... and why cant anyone with an airbrush draw? everything is a stencil... the loloz/
Lets see your airbrush art then you dozy twat. The stencil just provides a basic shape with sharp edges so that he can then fill in the details and shade it..masterfully, might i add. Dont hate because you suck..practice!

Good artest can airbrush with even 14$ airbrush.
I agree. While there will be a difference in performance between a cheap knock-off and and a good brand name airbrush, a good artist will figure out a way to work with the materials he has unless they are just absolute trash. I would not recommend absolute beginners to get a cheap imitation when starting because it can cause unnecessary frustration. Overall I agree with you.
As a legit artist you should never ever use stencils!
+Roy Johnson You think so? I've got a different opinion about it;) masking, stencils & belong to, whether you are a beginner, advanced or professional, the result has to be right, that's what counts!
I know the video is years old but i love the morons commenting about the use of stencils!!!! To freehand this wouldnt be a problem but to get paid for the time would! Remember that! People by and large dont want to pay for art so why would one want to spend more time on anything that us necessary!!
yep thats true, and stencils have advantage of sharp edges which are necessary for sharp details on some designs...
