  • Duck Season 2020-21 Episode 1: Public Land Frustration (They Shot My Mojo!)
Travel back in time with us to the Wild Wild West of duck hunting, this is Kentucky public land. The end of this video is pretty funny. After 2 years of trying the boys finally talked me into letting them shoot my old Mojo hen. They thought they were gonna get off easy till Papaw's Mojo pole broke off under the water and they had to fish it out. It might be the funniest moment I've caught on camera yet.
The end was funny because we tried to make the best out of a bad morning. Tensions were extremely high at the beginning of this hunt and the frustration was real. The place we decided to hunt ended up being completely overran on opening morning and a fight almost broke out. Although it was tough, we did manage to scratch a few ducks out before calling it quits. It’s situations like this one that causes bad things to happen. We need to show respect to other hunters in the field instead of doing things like this on public land. We all pay for those places with our license and permit dues each year. With that said, if you get beat to a spot just take it as a loss and move on. Let’s make a change and do things better in the future. I feel like that’s the least we can do as a token of respect for the ones that didn’t make it back home this year.
Hope y’all enjoy episode 1 of our 2020-21 duck season. There’s many more to come! 🙏🏻

That mojo is definitely junk now. 😂 For my thoughts on this hunt read the entire description. We can make public land hunting great again if we start being more respectful of other hunter’s space. The way I see it, we’re all in this together so let’s start acting that way.

Ive been hunting private land on the banks of the Illinois river for 6 years. This your a group of hunters boated by. And didnt even wave back. Never seen them before. And just thought that was kinda rude.

I asked some guys that was walking through our hole in Arkansas a couple years back if they’d had a good morning, they all turned their heads and looked at us then kept walking. Those guys had been burning them up in the hole beside us all morning long, more than likely had shot a 8 or 9 man limit of mallards by 9:00am when they walked through our hole like nothing ever happened. Seems to be becoming the normal thing for public land especially man. Respect goes a long way in my book, so I refuse to act like that.
