@@AviatorInspirations after we finish our ratings (CPL, Multi, IFR) what are our options as of today’s market job?
I made a video on how to find your first pilot job, not sure if you saw that one, but entry jobs haven’t changed much. But I will do a 2023 market research and see if anything has changed or what other recommendations I can make 🙂
Yaaaay you're back and now as 737capt. I've started my flying career watching your videos 3 years ago now I'm a commercial pilot at an small airline based north of Canada. Quick question, is it true majors are not hiring pilots with no post-secondary education? Regardless of flying hours,? I'm worried my career won't progress due to not having post-secondary
Hey huge congrats 😁 💪🏻
No that’s not true at all! We’re in a deep pilot shortage, so as soon as you have your ATPL written’s done and 1500hrs, apply at Flair or AC
@@AviatorInspirations thanks Yaro
Happy to see you are back, loving the beard!
I'm currently close to finishing my CPL, I'm unsure of whether to pursue multi IFR or instructor rating... any advice? I am an international student here
Happy to be back, and congrats on almost being done 😁!
Is your goal to stay and have a career in Canada or go back overseas? If you want to stay, I recommend finishing the multi-IFR, THEN getting the instructor rating so you are ready to write the ATPL exams when you meet the hours.
@@AviatorInspirations planning to stay here!
Wouldn't it be better to do IFR and multi while already working as an instructor? Im getting worried i only have enough for either instructor or IFR+multi with all the prices going up, im afraid to do ifr+multi and not being able to find a job afterwards
That’s totally understandable, I was in the same boat! The issue being, instructors make very little money, so you will have a hard time saving money to finish the multi-IFR, plus you will be working lots (to save money) that you won’t have time to finish the multi-IFR. However, with a multi-IFR, you can still get a Cessna 206/dispatch job (Canwest for example in Edmonton), and they will then upgrade you on the king air once you have the experience. However with just an instructor rating and a CPL, you are not very marketable as a pilot and it will limit your job prospects later. Also consider your work visa, do you have one? Or do you need the instructor job for the school to give you a job so you can get a work visa?
@@AviatorInspirations I see, its just that I started looking at job postings and I barely see any for pilots fresh out of school! And the ones that might be relevant require a PR. Ill get a PGWP after I graduate, automatically.
My plan was originally to study IFR and multi and look for a job but im getting worried there arent many, so I thought about doing instructor would be better..
I can probably do both like you said, ill just need to rely on my parents more but I wanted to avoid that
@@AviatorInspirations thank you so much for your input btw, I appreciate it. I feel like getting to 1000 hours is going to be the biggest challenge
😊❤
Appreciate the support 🙂
Welcome back after two years?
Thank you, glad to be back! Any topics you would like me to cover?
@@AviatorInspirations Sir, would you please make a vlog about licence convert is canadian cpl licence or eu licence is it directly allowed in USA or USA licence allowed in other country and whats the licence convert system and when licence convert is previous experience added?
Thanks in advance
Great suggestion, I’ll work on that idea about how to convert your license in Canada 🇨🇦
Wow you have beard now
New year, new look 😎
