BYU Homecoming Devotional October 11, 2016. BYU Cougar Marching Band, "The Power of the Wasatch." Director Fred K. McInnis. Original song composed by The Mighty Mighty BossTones.
I got chills from reminiscing to this.. I played this back in 2002 in Jr High.. I played percussion but loved the song so much I picked up a trumpet and mastered this song on it also
at :40 that one drummer on the right just gets into the groove of it and i wish the whole band had put that much soul into it. Ska isn't a genre for standing in place just playing the notes.
My daughter, who was in the band, says it's one of their favorites. The main purpose of the homecoming devotional is to bring school spirit and the band is their to hype up the crowd.
These kids have a real good taste in music
I hope a few of these kids went on to make some ska bands of their own cause this is everything😊

I got chills. Reminded me when I played bass drum in school

That's ONE spicy Mormon... His family probably had him ex-communicated.
There you have it, the difference between a drummer and a percussionist.
Truthfully I think the flair is helping with his timing more than anything else.
there's not much space to move on this stage
It’s a shame these kids never got to get the full experience of 90’s music......... 🤘🤘
This shit gives me chills! Damn amazing stuff!
This is beyond any measure of awesomenes!
OMG, this is my fave! ☺
Amazing!
They need one warped horn that can mimic Dicky's gravelly voice on the "ARRRRRRRGGGHHHHVE NEVER HAD TO KNOCK ON WOOD" part 😎
Wowwww maravilloso!!!!
Ska rules!!!
That's impressive 👏🏻
Surprised the Mormons let this one we played.

Hey there's this band trying to get famous playing your song... 😉
Being a huge fan of the Mighty Mighty Bosstones I am curious as to why you chose this song to play a Homecoming Devotional?
My daughter, who was in the band, says it's one of their favorites. The main purpose of the homecoming devotional is to bring school spirit and the band is their to hype up the crowd.
They did a great job, Dickie Barrett (lead singer) and the rest of the band would approve.
Bruh
I never knew the Y played this!!!!!!
Jadon Smith Yup and we still do!
I didn’t realize Yale had a Band. They sound good.
This is impossible in the Netherlands. Thanks to the government who is not interested in music at all.
Sort of odd to see this relatively obscure song resurrected for a marching band performance after all this time.
