*me going to Mr. Ziegler’s (band director) house at 3 AM* Me: “Mr. Ziegler.” Mr. Z: “What...it’s 3 in the freaking morning. Why are you in my house?” Me: “I found another awesome pep band song.” Mr. Z: “Again?” Me: “Yes. We have to play it.” *plays song* Mr. Z: “Talk to me in class about it tomorrow.”
Olivia Petrowski I know this is supposed to be in jest but knowing band students (bass trombonist and music ed major). I can distinctly see this. You forgot one part though: “Wait... why are you in my house at 3 AM?” @The trumpets swiped your keys and made copies for emergencies such as this.” (Stated in complete seriousness as if the norm). “For some reason I always thought low brass would resort to this.” “They’re actually raiding your fridge right now.”
Okay out of the entire years selection of music, THIS MASTERPIECE has the *BEST* percussion part out of all of them. I don't know how engaging or hard it is as I'm a trumpet player but the part at 1:23 is so invigorating to hear while blasting this song at a football game. Bravo Jack Holt for arranging the most badass percussion part for a badass song.
I know this is 3 years later but yeah, I had to learn this freshman year snare drum, it was incredibly difficult. The tenor part is not any easier, either. Definitely my favorite percussion piece in any single marching band song.
Erik Hermanson At least you don’t have to remember where to place your fingers on the violin, viola, cello, or bass. Orchestra is a lot harder because if our fingers are just a little bit off the whole note is wrong.
So I live in a small rural town where, believe it or not, funeral processions are usually accompanied with a hired marching band. I can imagine this being played at my funeral (no offense meant to the creators), where the first part is where they're carrying my casket out of the church so it's all sombre and slow. But once we're out, hell yeah it's party time! I want it lively enough to make people in the neighborhood come out of their houses and watch the procession and just have fun. Coz it'll be my last hurrah, so don't they dare stop me now! :)
@@aidanpark7705 my guy, I have been playing for nearly ten years down to the day, am on 3 1/2 reeds and am able to play grade 4-5 concert pieces(nearly professional level music). It's not a matter of the music being hard or not.
I’m going to be auditioning to be a drum major at my highschool next year and I’m using pieces like this that have transitions between different speeds to practice
Just found out yesterday that this will be our first movement for the 2020-2021 Marching Season!!! I’m so excitedddd. Even though Corona is going on, I’m still super happy I’m able to perform this season.
The trombone solos on this one are insane! I hope we get to play this soon.
i feel like going to the directors house waking him up and begging him to do this song

TROMBONES!!!!!!!!!!!!! OH YEAH!!!!!!!👍👏👌💪👌👏👍
Dennis Kokhanovskiy they go really well with tenor sax
Heck yeah. My band played this for half time this year and I was on first part for trombone. It was awesome
Except when they smack you in the back of the head and make your section just go down like dominos
Trombones!!!!! Heck yaaa!
Quads
I'm playing this tomorrow night on the field, I just can't wait!
Same but this year and I spin XD
I got first trumpet part on this cause I'm the only person in the band who likes queen I'm ecstatic

@@anonymousmuffin956 last year i was a snare player and im not gonna lie this is really easy for snare, tenor part is decently difficult though
OMG I wanna be in a band so badly!!! I'm in an orchestra but band sounds sooo cool 😂🤦😌
all of my stories either start with “one time at band camp” or “in guild wars 2 this one time”
Bruh band way better

TheMrCream ‘ You try playing a string instrument and see how “easy” it is. Once you do you can say something
Learn trombone

Oh my god the trombone part is so fun for us.
There was so many good songs my schools marching band played and this song was one of them😩🤘🏽🤘🏽
We played for our marching show!
i had an opening solo to this my 8th grade year and it was the best!
I’m playing this song now! Our mar hung band is awesome
Rip clarinets playing the arpeggios in the beginning
This part is actually pretty easy
i actually love playing the arpeggios 😫
@@ciarahelton8444 I hate them because going over the break isn't as easy as people make it look
@@atlashollows6273 I don’t mean this in an offensive way, but if you have trouble going over the break you should look at some easier music than this.

Jesus this arrangement gives me the chills listening to it
we have one more home game left and i hope we play this song!!
My drumline played this and totally rock it! It was great.
WHAT IM TALKING ABOUT BEST MARCHING SONG EVER!
Im playing this for my band so excited to see it come all together
This is in my field marching arrangement for this year
Doing this song for our show this year!!
I’m going to be auditioning to be a drum major at my highschool next year and I’m using pieces like this that have transitions between different speeds to practice
I love this cause of the horn part.

Not my school concert band doing this song for graduation 💀
High school freshman year
W
I LOVE BAND
my school opens with this song in marching im new to band but i nearly have this full song down already
i love being a trumpet player because i get the fun high notes and i get to hear the low brass
My school did a queen theme last year for marching band. It was so awesome. I wasn’t in it because covid but I regret not joining.
anyone listen to stuff like this and just think of drill for it
Yep. Our whole marching show was queen music last year and I still remember almost all the drill to it hearing this😂
I don't, but I probably will now
AmigoLION ! Hell yeah, all the time. I’m in Guard so I like to imagine work and tosses for this. Release points and all.
Not necessarily drill, but I’ll think of drumline parts while listening because the written parts are hella easy and they’re begging for a rewrite
I just think of flag choreography 😂😂
don't mind me, just watching all of Matt Conaways arrangements
Just found out yesterday that this will be our first movement for the 2020-2021 Marching Season!!! I’m so excitedddd. Even though Corona is going on, I’m still super happy I’m able to perform this season.
Love that bari part :(
If we did this i would stop playing and just start singing my lungs out...or play the drums even more aggressively while singing lol
THIS WAS FOR OUR SHOW
It is a good piece.
Playing Queen this year for Marching Season! ACHS!! Crazy Little thing called love (Mov. 1) Dont stop me now (Mov 2.) Queen Opener (Shower Closer)
Same but the first two are switched for us
My god this song broke a pair of mallets... Kind of my fault. 😂 I was hitting the xylophone so freaking hard... 🤣🤣
The trombone! #teamtrombone
I feel like going back into the band hall and finding the percussion teacher
amazing 😍
love bells
Nice trumpet bro 69 rests btw
Being a freshman in high school, being first chair (cause the others are not very good), and basically having to solo on this song is insane 😢
I get to learn this song alone and we have a football game the second day of school
Brutal ending.
That last chord..... LETS GO LOW BRASS
i’m clarinet trying to learn this for my marching band and it’s so hard at some parts, at least for me, kudos to anyone who’s mastered this :D
Aye clarinet gang were you able to get it down
clarinets are superior
my march band played at a performance
Imagine playing the melody and having mistakes be more noticeable and high notes
- this was made by the low brass gang
This is in my field show
i was accidentally playing at 1.25 n it soudns so good
i really wanted to play this for jazz band but our trombones are too young
freshmen?
brasil
At 1:10 my Band Danced on the field
Same
I’m singing this song in show choir😂
I really hope my band can march this bc we have a band of a little over a hundred and like 20 gaurd and feature twirler hopfully 2 next year 🤞
kaka miss:(((
My school did a queen show but I wish we did this instead of a crazy little thing called love.
The drummers part tho...
WHY IS THIS NOT IN OUR PEP BAND FOLDER????
Percussion yeah!!!!!!
yes
que buena👍😍
I'm in band and I play Euphonium and I got a solo because no one else in my school listens to Queen
❤️
Yess I need to play this in jazz band
0:00,
0:35,
1:25
Ah grade 3-4 and the Tuba and Baritone part are essentially the same.
yes drumline yes bassline yes snareline
When Covid ruined your dreams of playing this in band
muito legal
I think 0:27 - 0:39 would be a great very short stand tune. Like a tag or something.
like you end it at the trumpets last note
I agree, that would be awesome.
Show este arranjo
QUERO QUE O PROFESSOR PASSE ESSA PRA NÓS 😊
tenor sax has the whole melody lol but i play percussion
imsnazzyc Oh hey! Another percussionist!
@J I play alto and bari but tenor is underrated
Kinda may ask my director about this for concert band. It seems easy to learn.
I remember the first time I heard this song. It was on Shaun of the Dead.
I'm first trombone mah boi
Foda pra caralho tá ligado Mano, daora o bagulho
