What a lot of snarky people there are today. It just shows how small peoples attention spans are and how little they understand about the work that goes into making content. This is a different video filmed on a completely different day to the first monkfish video published 1 month ago. Be grateful, be nice or do not comment. It’s that simple. 👍🏻

I at first thought it was a repeat of the earlier Monkfish episode.
The point is it’s a different video about ‘a day in the life’ of a commercial fisherman. Yes it’s Ground Hog day in that the graft needed to catch the ‘catch’ is never commensurate with the reward.
Ignore the ill informed. I find it fascinating. 👏👏

I am a video producer in North Carolina and I have fished since the early 1970's. This is one of the best, most realistic commercial fishing videos I have ever watched in your part of the world. I was guessing you were around the English Channel. Here off the NC coast, there is a small fleet of bottom fishing boats that fish on the NC continental drop, about 50 miles offshore, 300 - 400 feet of water for snapper, trigger fish, grouper and many others. Your video reminds me of that deep drop trip. If you guys made 10 hours of content, I would watch all of it!

Brilliant once again - no two days are the same and you're right - sun-up is the best time of day. I was on holiday last week in Pontllyfni and watched a fisherman hauling his pots like you do.

Brilliant video as always John. Interesting to see how much larger the brown crabs and lobster are when caught much further out at depth. Keep the videos coming! All the best.

Seeing the scallops attached to the line brings back fond memories for me of the first time I took my niece fishing! She caught 3 freshwater clams somehow and we all found it hilarious as none of us had ever caught them with a hook before! She must have been casting her line just perfectly over the open clams 😂 Took us forever to get the hooks out too

It would be a good idea to have a temporary seat that could be fitted / screwed down then removed when not in use to the starboard side just behind the winch , better safe than sorry .

Another great video about commercial fishing. You’ve got a good thing going there. Plus excellent videography! I liked your camera angles. The cameras also appeared to be constantly adjusting to maintain the horizon, so it really showed how much wave action was occurring during the shoot. Keep up the great work. Looking forward to the next video.

The cameras do try to adjust for a flat horizon so yes, when it looks rough it is actually REALLY rough!! 🤣
