OMG! The Orchard Road ION Shopping Mall was a weekend picnic park with trees in the 1990s to the middle or late 2000s ... ION Shopping Mall is connected to the Orchard MRT Station & walking distance to Wisma Atria ( Used to have a public aquarium with mini sharks & other sea creatures in the 1990s to the middle of 2000s ) & connected with walking distance to Takashimaya Shopping Centre. The next MRT Station after the Orchard MRT Station is the Somersett MRT Station which is not that far away but somehow felt like it is located quite a distance away by the MRT ride experience! This Orchard Road Shopping Belt video is nostalgic for the many who had being there since the 1990s to 2019! Have not back to Singapore since March2020 because of the Global Covid-19 Pandemic! Thank You So Much Chase & Selbys for the guided tag along Singapore Orchard Road! Stay safe , healthy , vigilant & stay humble guys!
I was born in Singapore but relocated to Virginia, USA in 2000. My husband and our 20yrs old daughter try to fly back to SG every 2-3yrs to visit my mom and siblings. I have to say, every time we're back, there's always something new that's being built and/or to see. This particular video is awesome. You covered places that I've never been before and thanks to you, I have added them in my To Go List so that when we're back there in Feb'25; we can visit those places. Glad you guys had a wonderful time and a good experience in Singapore. Safe travels & take care!
Woah! I'm a local and I don't even know you can go so high up for that view! As most of us usually just go out from the Orchard MRT station and just walk through all the various malls via the underpasses and linkways inside the malls, most of the malls are linked underground.
CapitaSpring (Level 17-20 & 51). Beautiful roof top garden and free, with breathtaking views, but got lost trying get to the building when I was there last year😂. Greetings from Ontario, Canada.
Stumbled upon your videos and love your coverage of Singapore. Not sure if you would be able to but I would recommend some off the beaten track tours like Geylang Adventures and exploring some of Singapore’s suburbs. Some of these tours are free.
Fun fact: not only does the Central Catchment area have virgin rainforest you can trek in, our little island has more biodiversity (number of plants and animal species) than the whole of North America. Most locals don't appreciate that.
Greetings from Ottawa, I have been to many Malls in Asia, they are hi-tech and beautiful. Canada need to learn how to build and run a mall. The malls in Canada is like...eik!
10 years ago Orchard Road is the main de facto shopping center. Today locals will go to heartlands shopping malls if they can't bother to go to Orchard Road on a weekday.
FYI. ION mall is connected to Wisma Atria and connected to Takashimaya. Wisma Atria used to have a big aquarium at the basement which was cool. If you are into food, go can got to Takashimaya basement to visit their food fair/ court.
That sunglasses shop is Gentle Monster from South Korea. The coffee shop you guys passed by is Bacha Coffee and the coffee beans are from Morocco. Their one big pot of coffee costs less than SGD $10. The garden building is the new Pan Pacific hotel recently crowned world’s best new skyscraper.
Ah. Ion orchard, A maze of Mazes that even locals still get lost in after going down there for years. I'd recommend Vivocity or Sentosa(Beach side) if you guys want to continue exploring and walking. If you'd like a 'quieter' area than these i'd say Further west perhaps at Jurong East. Two malls side by side(Previously 3 but the third one got torn down and is under construction)
Hi, you two MUST go to Tokyo, Japan 🇯🇵, and visit the world’s BIGGEST underground shopping mall. Hong Kong 🇭🇰 SAR also has very huge shopping 🛍️ malls, and many of them have skating rinks and cinemas 👍👍👍👍👍
it would be nice if you can show more of the places rather than self shots , your commentary is nice and informative but seeing also good so we can share your experience , nice video
I also strongly recommend you two visit China 🇨🇳 and visit these cities : SHENZHENG, SHANGHAI, BEIJING, GUANGZHOU. These cities’ infrastructure, the transportation, the malls, the sights and sound as well as the food are just so great 👍👍👍👍
China is not safe to visit at the moment. There are unemployed uncles seeking to hurt foreigners especially young children. Also the food are unhealthy, food safety is an unresolved problem in China. Schools are teaching kids, 境外勢力害我沒工作 hence the brewing anger against foreigners.
If you have never been to L.A, yes Singapore is great. Here in L.A., we have fancier malls that are at another level. Singapore malls look like China town malls

If I am not wrong, you need to spend fifty dollars in retail to redeem a ticket to go up there

well done on the bandung. It's a very decently local drink.
Edit: lol, that's not a temple next to shaw. It's the Royal Thai Embassy Singapore.

Beautiful city and cleant
Hope you guys are heading to vivocity and Sentosa next.

@@sdqsdq6274 yea and the pool area with the gardens by the bay like.
Ion is always like a huge puzzle to me
Sg is also known as The Garden City
I'm with you Shelbs... can't do a rose flower flavoured drink 😂
It’s just not a vibe 😂
I believe that 'temple' looking building is the Thai embassy in Singapore.
The prices you see are pretty much the same as Canadian prices (if converting I mean).
Ah. Ion orchard, A maze of Mazes that even locals still get lost in after going down there for years.

You all love food so much you shall go to “newton circle” to try the food there. Samba stingray, satay, BBQ chicken wing
I want a wife like shelby.. Chase is very lucky guy..
Check out the bus hotel. It's called The Bus Collective.

12:58 I think it's model of a full eyeball, not a bug LMAO
They are after all the birthplace of eye monsters in horror tropes.
❤
Bandung = rose milk drink
yayayayaya ☝️😂👍🌹
When will you guys visit India again?
Hi, you two MUST go to Tokyo, Japan 🇯🇵, and visit the world’s BIGGEST underground shopping mall.
Hong Kong 🇭🇰 SAR also has very huge shopping 🛍️ malls, and many of them have skating rinks and cinemas 👍👍👍👍👍
Yes Tokyo is huge on our list. Possibly next year 😍
Guys look great Singapore. I'm from penang. But living in London look out dated to me. Lol ❤❤❤
