Hi! This video features a book called «Min kamp». (It means «My struggle») It’s a bestselling Norwegian book by Internationally renowned author Karl Ove Knausgård. It has NOTHING to do with Adolf Hitler’s book «Mein Kampf». Hope you enjoy the video, and have a nice day! 😀
Thank you for your videos. They bring the ultimate feeling of coziness 😍Could you please recommend your favorite Norwegian authors or the books you consider worth mentioning? Cheers from Eastern Europe, Georgia 😍
Thank you for the video and the reading recommendation. Both of them are very interesting, and I have just searched to get one of the author's books. Thank your very much.
Bergen is beautiful and very wet😅. Love the colours of the buildings. Someone at work asked me the other day if I had plans to go abroad in summer. I replied Oslo!!
Wonderful video 😊 glad that you had a good end of the year and a good new year. We had a good holiday season...but caught a bad cold the day after Christmas...so new year's was quiet, but we are finally better. 🐾💖🥳🥰Happy 2025 to you, Mochi and Mr J. Hugs to you all.
I had the pleasure of visiting Bergen a few years ago during what my local friend described as the "warmest and sunniest weekend in months!" I remember being able to swim in the sea (so cold!) but that it was so warm in April that we were able to lounge and dry up in the sun at the Nordnes Sjøbad after! So nice to see a video of Bergen again :)
Oh my goodness! How you and Mochi and Mr J were missed! And how happy I am that you’re back! The Bergen-focused video was great with some beautiful old jazz and city walks. It highlighted some features that distinguish Bergen from Oslo, like the narrow, labyrinthine walkways between houses and the architecture of the small wooden houses, AND the never-ending rain! Very interesting and charming city. But, I liked the part of the video best where you returned to your flat with Mochi and Mr J. That’s when I felt like the world was once again spinning on the right axis. Thank you for telling us about the book you’re reading and making the author recommendation! I hope you’ll continue to make book recommendations for us readers!
My smile was so big when I read your beautiful comment, ending with how the world was again spinning on the right axis when I can home to Mochi and Mr. J! I really felt this when I came home!
Uwielbiam Twoje poczucie estetyki 😊 Serdeczne pozdrowienia z Polski 🤗🇵🇱
I love the atmosphere your filming, choice of gentle music and thoughtful words provoke - sprinkled with HRH Princess Mochi, just a wonderful time-out experience! Thank you!
You ask the profound question of where and what “home” is and then find the answer at the end, just like a satisfying read. I feel a little more familiar with Bergen, seeing it through your eyes. It is such a storybook town, like a perfect diorama of a seaside city that has been around a long time. So charming, the narrow stone-paved streets! You say Karl Ove “writes very well about what it’s like to be human.” Well, dear man, in your pictures and insights, so do you. 🥰
Hi again friend, and thanks for your very kind words! Happy you liked Bergen. You are right, it does have a storybook feel to it. Definitely. I appreciate it more now that I don't see it every day.
Such a great post and loving the rain (and the sound of it); as a Brit living in LA it’s one thing I miss (and we could really use some at the moment)!
I often ponder the same questions: what is home, where is home? For me, I think home is love - both where I am loved and where I love. As such, home has changed throughout my life. My childhood village is, as you describe so well, like a story tale; a place where identity was formed. The city where I live now is where I have chosen to live, to love, and be loved; and it is the place I have grown into and where I am my true self. Thanks so much for your wonderful perspective on life, and for sharing your lovely family with us ❤
Bergen looks so beautiful and cozy…❤❤ Hamburg is also a very rainy city. And it happens the same here when it is sunny: we all rush outside to enjoy it (if we are not working, of course 😂😂) and the mood of the whole city and the people changes drastically. I live between two countries 3000 km apart. After more than 13 years in this situation you feel you don‘t belong anywhere. When I travel to my home city in Spain, I know the buildings, the streets, etc. but I feel somehow disconnected. When I go back to Germany it feels exactly the same. It is a very weird feeling…for me Home is where my husband and friends are and that is Hamburg. For now 😅 By the way, Happy New Year to the three of you. Happy to have you back.🥳🙏🏻
Thanks for sharing! I love to hear about other people's view on what home is. I know Hamburg is very rainy, I have a friend who is from that city, he has told me 😅 Ultimately, I agree with you. The city itself is secondary to what is most important: That the people you love are there with you. Happy new year to you and your family, dear friend ❤️
I loved seeing all the narrow streets and picturesque, wooden houses. I'm sure it's always good to visit family and spend time with old friends. And the harbor... Thanks for such a lovely, quiet showing of your home town. Hi to Princess Mochi and Mr. J. I know you missed them while you were in lovely Bergen!
Home is any place where you have put down roots. Over a lifetime, you can have many homes. I'm currently living in a place to which I feel no connection. It will never be a home to me. That's why I so enjoy escaping to other, more attractive places, and your videos are a favorite. Your camera work is simple but artful, and your music choices capture and enhance the mood so well. I came for the sweet dog but am glad I stayed for your lovely stories. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you for showing Bergen. It is one of the places I love so much! My youngest daughter was in Norway for 18 months. When she came back to the USA, we went to Norway in August, 2018. Bergen was one of the places we stayed. We got an AirBnB on the outskirts of the City of Bergen and we took the tram(?) to go places. It was raining cats and dogs the days we went to Bergen, but it in the afternoon, it stopped raining. Norway is so beautiful, and hopefully soon my husband and I will go visit Norway again.
So Bergen has literally nearly the same weather as here. More rainy days than sunny days, just the sort of rain differs. One gets used to it. As we always say, time to grow back the webbed membranes. There is a melancholic fondness thinking about former hometowns. I visit mine from time to time and really would like to live there again. But it changed. Too many tourists and one hell of expensive place to rent or buy. It is a bit sad. I am stuck here and the parts of my family left behind - at my former home town, are now all gone. But I still like it better there, mountains, river, castles, the old city centre, the weather. Whenever I hear the dialect I am getting excited. But home is were my partner is. So yes, end of story. The history of humanity is a history of movement and new beginnings.
Oh what a well crafted comment, I can identify with so much! Especially the part of getting excited when hearing the local dialect. It always warms my heart when returning to Bergen. And your last sentence is so true. Yes, humanity's history is truly a story of movement and new beginnings. Yes- we can have roots. But we also have feet.
Bergen is beautiful. I like coastal towns, cities and rain as I grew up in a coastal city with lots of rain and I now live on the other side of the world with snow. Home to me is not just one place. Home is the place where I grew up and home is also the place where I have settled - 2 different countries in 2 different continents. Seeing Mochi greet you was precious. It brought a smile to my face. I will look for Karl Ove Knausgaard's novel in English as I like autobiographies. Have a good weekend!
Thanks for sharing your thoughts on home. I like hearing other people's views (and stories). Hope you enjoy Knausgaard's biography series if you go for it!
Even though there are so many rainy days, it still looks beautiful, and I would like to visit it. I love when you shoot videos in Bergen, the city has a special charm, with all those colorful houses and beautiful buildings. I hope you had a nice holiday! Nice to see a new video again! 😊
Living in Tokyo, away from my family, I often ponder the idea of “home” too. I feel at home here in Japan after many years, but I know that my other “home” still exists with my family back in my country. 🤍☔
Good to see you, Mochi and Mr B are back and glad you got to spend some time in your hometown with friends and family. I love Bergen, even in the rain! Best wishes to you all❤🦴🦴
This vlog was quite relaxing with the rain and walking and those beautiful homes and narrow alleyways,so romantic 😊 Mochi always make me happy happy happy🤗🤗
I’m from USA and I really love your channel. I especially like simple day activity, simple meal preparation, and of course, Mochi. When you spend extended time on street scenes (like this one) my mind starts to wander. I also read extensively but don’t enjoy strong presence of recommendations that may not be what I would be drawn to.
I love looking at those charming buildings in Bergen, your nostalgic home town. Even a narrow street is picturesque. Thank you & Happy new year to you☺️
Oslo is modern while Bergen with its cobbled street narrow lanes and pretty colourful houses has its old world charm... That book I will read in future as I too love to read and have a small home library. ..at the end when you returned home with Mochi greeting you that's the sweetest part ! The Bergen depiction in your hallway looks so good... Enjoyed the hometown tour of yours !!!! See you next week !
A home more than a physical space is a feeling. A place that is the extension of the self, the connection between "who we are" and "where we are". And the arms of the person we love sweetly surrounding us, also makes us understand that this is our home regardless of where in the world we are. And where a sweet being like Mochi, welcoming us with the same joy even when we cross the front door a hundred times in a row, that is also a feeling of home. Thanks a lot Mr. I for allowing us to reflect on the meaning of the word "home" while you toured Bergen, that beautiful city that seems to have been built to the measure of a fairy dream. Welcome Mr. I to my home, you and your lovely family were greatly missed. Btw: there is also a book "A death in the family", winner of the Pulitzer Prize, by the American writer James Agee. Sooo good.
You know human nature so well, to formulate beautiful comments like this, dear friend. Thank you for the book tip- I will definitely look up this book!
Hello introvert. I was very happy to see the pictures of your hometown. It is very beautiful. I don't like rain very much but I love snow. But I imagine that you are used to its climate since you were born and lived there for several years. I read a only book by the author you mentioned this summer. In Italian they translated it La stella del mattino. I don't know the title in Norwegian. I think I would like to live in Norway because even though I am Italian I don't like chaos. But I love silence, discretion and respect for other people. Maybe because like you I am an introvert. A big hug and I await the next video. A kiss to mochi
Thank you for another wonderfully cozy video. The way you tell your stories in these videos always puts me into a dreamy mood. And also thank you for so much kindness streaming from every episode! It is so important now the world's gone that harsh. ❤
Hello guys! Your videos are a breeze of fresh air! Thanks for sharing a bit of your routine with us! Have a lovely weekend ahead! Much love from Brazil!
Hi guys, you were missed a lot! I enjoyed every second of your video because your content about Bergen is always my favourite. It makes me feel like I have to visit Bergen immediately. The saying about the weather and the clothes is also common in Germany I guess because my French teacher used to say it to us too and I absolutely agree. You have to be able to enjoy the rain as well as the sunny days. Thanks for your nice captures of Bergen once again, I love it! I also thought about the question where home is and I think that it is the place where your beloved ones are. I would like to be able to visit my family and friends frequently but there are in Germany and I’m in Istanbul. So it’s not so easy to manage it. That’s why I’m questioning the feeling of being home. I miss my quiet life and family a lot so I try to visit them twice a year. The last scene of your video was adorable. What a wonderful sunset 🌅 Thanks for your heartwarming video and wise words. Wish you guys a happy new year and all the best ❤ Muuuuuch love and a very big hug from Istanbul ❤
Hi dear friend, it's comforting to hear that other people also reflect on the topic of home. It can be more difficult when the two homes are in different countries like in your case. It takes not only time, but money to travel back and forth. But in the end, I guess we should be grateful to love more than one place. It is a blessing. Big hugs from Oslo to Istanbul ❤️
A simple thank you for brightening my day. Bergen really looks beautiful even (or maybe because of) the rain. Gradually drinking in all your videos, so cleverly crafted.
What a stunning city! Its position, climbing the hills, the red roofs, cobblestones and narrow alleyways and of course gorgeous houses. Thanks for the visit and I agree with you, based on this video, Bergen wins. 😉
Happy New Year to you and your family. I love the rain too and we just had two days of snow which is unusual in my town in the southern US. Thank you for the very cozy video.
What a lovely trip to Bergen ❤ I was thinking how difficult it must be to move in/move out or get furniture delivered to those sweet terrace type of houses in Bergen 💪( steep narrow walkways) As expected Mochi is always a delight & thank you for the book recommendations, I'm sure they're available here in Australia in English. Love to all 😊
Oh yes, it's no joke to move when you live in one of those narrow streets! A friend of mine lived in one of those houses. When they moved in, the big furniture had to go through the windows on the second floor which were removed (!) because the entrance was too small 😅😅😅
I always love your vlogs there so special to me. I think that you have two hometowns & that's a great thing to have. I hope that you & your family had a lovely Christmas & New Year. I also hope that Mr.J & Mochi are doing well. I know you like snow so hopefully it has snowed in Oslo for you. Take Care! sending hugs from a very snowy (31cm or 12in) Indianapolis,Indiana
So happy to see a new video. I didn’t watch it immediately because I just wanted to savour knowing it was there and watching it when life was quieter. I’m such a weirdo lol.😂. Bergen is so picturesque. Nice to visit your hometown! Happy New Year🎉
I so understand how you feel about being torn between two places. We moved to Maryland from Minnesota four years ago and even though I love it here my heart is still in Minnesota. We do go back there once a year but as you say it’s as a visitor and it’s no longer my home. 😢
There are so many feelings connected to "home", wherever that may be. Thanks for sharing your story, I understand your feelings. I just looked up Maryland and Minnesota on the map. Wow, you moved very far away from your home! I think that takes courage.
It's a pleasure to be back in Bergen and its atmosphere. Thanks for the walks, it’s great to be able to discover this pretty, colorful city! Mochi as happy as ever, it’s a joy to see! As always, fun, culture, beauty and emotions are present in this vlog 🖤 🖤
You know, I never actually thought about the fact that Bergen is colorful. Because I grew up there, it was just "normal". So thank you for pointing it out, it's fun to see something familiar through different eyes. For the first time I'm really noticing how colorful Bergen is!
Hello😊 I live in Bergen and in 2024 I started a Vlog from my life here. - Bergen is currently covered in Snow, and recently I made a video from a hike to Stoltzekleiven and Floyen (the two hiking spots above the harbour) in Snow! 😊 I’ve been following your vlog for a while, and find it so comforting and inspiring. Often it moves me to tears. You have a beautiful gift in story telling and I allways feel soothed by your videos. ❤ Greetings from Bergen😊
@ I’m so glad to hear😊😀✨There will be some renovation videos the next months, as we are currently renovating our office room😊 Wishing you, Mochi and Mr J a peaceful sunday, with greetings from Vestlandet✨
Hello and thank you so much for your kind comment! I hope your cousin enjoys his life in Norway. It takes some getting used to because the weather here in northern Europe can be very rough, especially in winter.
Dear Mr I, thank you for a wonderful beginning to my weekend, as always! I am always very grateful for your reminder to enjoy the magic of the ordinary and it's written on a Post-it stuck on my desk. Your videos always make me reflect and journal. Having lived in different places around the world and in my home country, I think home is where I feel settled/at peace/calm, with my own company and with the company of the people around me :) I remember living in Amsterdam for a while and seeing people flock to the cafes on a very rare sunny day and sit alfresco like sunflowers facing the sun. It was like what you said, many rainy days make people treasure sunny days more. I will treasure more the sunny days in my home country :) Wishing you, Mr J and Princess Mochi a wonderful 2025 ahead! Love from Singapore (Southeast Asia)
Hi and thanks for sharing your thoughts on home. I agree- feeling settled, at peace and calm are all very important feelings that make us feel at home somewhere. Oh- and how lovely that you have that post-it note on your desk. That really warmed my heart! PS! You live in such an amazing place. I visited Singapore on a solo trip many years ago, it was one of the nicest journeys I've had. Truly.
Happy New Year nice Oslo family! I saw “my” building again! Wow, when you showed the artwork in your entryway followed by the actual rooftops and buildings in Bergen, it was a perfect depiction. That McDonald’s has to be the classiest one in the world. I love all those homes when you walk between them and wonder who lives in them and what their lives are like. I am curious where people park their vehicles as I never see a parking lot anywhere. The homes just look so cozy and charming. Don’t think I could take 200 rainy days, but I’ll say Bergen is the prettiest rainy city. Must be a Scandinavian thing as I remember my mother admonishing me for saying hi to people we didn’t know. She said I was bothering them. I just thought she was nuts! I figured what hem meant as hemma means home in Swedish. A very welcoming name for a bar. I’m so grateful for your channel because I can “travel” to your beautiful country every weekend just like a mini getaway! Have a terrific week Mr. I. and Mr. J. 🐶❤
Haha, I love that you have adopted a building in Oslo 😀 I think we are similar in that I too wonder who lives in houses I walk by. My imagination runs wild! About parking: In Bergen, they built a huge underground parking complex a few years ago, so in the center, many cars park there. Swedish and Norwegian are very similar as you have seen. If you know Swedish, you can easily understand Norwegian. Very practial! 😀
Hi! Thank you for showing us Bergen. It's such a beautiful city with so many interesting little corners! But I agree with you, home is where those you share your life with are. I melted when I saw Mochi waiting for you at the door. So sweet!❤❤
Buongiorno caro mr.
Welcome back, dear Norwegian friend, Bergen is indeed a lovely city, the houses are wonderful, there was a small white one where I would immediately go to live. Very sweet Mochi's face when she saw you again. Our dancing princess 🫶🏻. Happy find week from the three of us to you ❤️
Hello dear Amelie, I think you would be perfect in one of those small, wooden houses! I hope you are having a wonderful and peaceful Berlin weekend with your sweet little family in that nice apartment with the charming squeaky wooden floors! ❤️
Hello Introvert, and welcome back!😊 I share your thoughts about home. I was born by the North Sea in Oostende, grew up in Blankenberge, and then moved to Italy. In the end, all the places I’ve left remain in my heart, but at the same time, I feel like a stranger when I go back-I no longer run into friends or acquaintances. Ultimately, your home is the space you create, with the people you love and your passions. As for Karl Ove Knausgård, Ms. Z has read Morgenstjernen, and now you’ve piqued her curiosity with Min Kamp. 😊 Thank you for sharing your memories of your beautiful and rainy hometown.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts on home and your background. I must admit I didn't know where Oostende was, I had to look it up. Belgium! 😀 I think it is brave to move to another country like you did. With a different language. How nice that Ms. Z has read Morgenstjernen! I haven't read that book. Tell her that Min kamp is a very easy and good read.
Hi princess Mochi❤Watching your videos is such a great joy and comfort too I love the atmosphere all the narrow streets, everything is incredibly sweet and lovely. Mochi is a little treasure. How I understand you when you say : " I love Mochi resting her head on me" ❤🐕🌸🩷💐
What a beautiful place Bergen is, I am looking forward of visiting Bergen this coming May. Any advise the best place for walk and experience Bergen on it's beat. Hi Mochie and Mr J👋
Oh wow, I hope you will have a wonderful time. May is a good month to visit Bergen. If you like walking, I warmly recommend walking up and down Mount Fløyen. (There is a gravel path which is easy to walk on) Or you can take the funicular. There is a wonderful view from the top. 😀
I spotted a little stuffed dog that reminded me of Mochi recently, so I bought it and named her "Mochi" in honor of your own sweet dog. I love the Bergen depiction of your home town in your hallway--Nicely done! I also enjoyed the soft, soothing sound of the rain as you toured Bergen, which is a picturesque town with its cobbled streets and colorful houses, as well as the harbor with its magnificent boats and salt-scented air! I'd especially like the quiet and respect for personal space in Norway as an introvert. Thank you for the lovely tour of your home town! ❤🏘🏤🏫☔🌦
Oh wow, this is the sweetest comment! I can't believe you bought the stuffed dog and called her Mochi. That made me smile! Big hug from me and kisses from Mochi! ❤️🐶💫
Saludos
Bonne année 🎉 these books were very successful in France. My friend in Quebec has read them all and loved them. I will definitely read one one day, as for now I am reading a beautiful collection of short stories from South Korea. Loved your visit of Bergen 😊 hello from one rainy city to yours 😅
Nice thank you for the reference was looking for books to buy on my next visit
Bergen is beautiful and very wet😅. Love the colours of the buildings. Someone at work asked me the other day if I had plans to go abroad in summer. I replied Oslo!!
Wonderful video 😊 glad that you had a good end of the year and a good new year. We had a good holiday season...but caught a bad cold the day after Christmas...so new year's was quiet, but we are finally better.
🐾💖🥳🥰Happy 2025 to you, Mochi and Mr J. Hugs to you all.
200 rainy days a year?! That sounds like a place I'd love to visit. It seems like such a cozy city. Thanks to you and Mochi for sharing! 🤍🐶
All the rain makes the city very poetic. Judging from your very beautiful vlogs, I think you would enjoy Bergen a lot. ❤️
@introvert-and-dog That's very kind! I hope I can visit one day. 🤍🇳🇴
I had the pleasure of visiting Bergen a few years ago during what my local friend described as the "warmest and sunniest weekend in months!" I remember being able to swim in the sea (so cold!) but that it was so warm in April that we were able to lounge and dry up in the sun at the Nordnes Sjøbad after! So nice to see a video of Bergen again :)
Oh how lucky you were to experience Bergen from its best side! 😀
Seeing Mochi always makes me smile!🎉
❤️🐶💫
Me too ❤
What a lovely time. Thank you for your simple, but special view of your world. Your videos are always a treat!
Thank you very much!
Uwielbiam Twoje poczucie estetyki 😊 Serdeczne pozdrowienia z Polski 🤗🇵🇱
Happy you enjoyed the video, and thank you so much for these kind words!
I love the atmosphere your filming, choice of gentle music and thoughtful words provoke - sprinkled with HRH Princess Mochi, just a wonderful time-out experience! Thank you!
What a nice comment, thank you so much!
Bergen and Oslo have been on the top of my travel lists for many years, I do hope to get there one day. Thx for showing us your beautiful cities ❤
@@suefellows1392 Hope you can visit soon!
Hi!!
Thanks for your video💘
Bergen is precious🙂
Such a great post and loving the rain (and the sound of it); as a Brit living in LA it’s one thing I miss (and we could really use some at the moment)!
Wish I could send you some rain! (Or snow)
I live on the west coast of Ireland, and I am surprised but happy to hear that there is somewhere in Europe even wetter than here!
Gracias por volver! Espero que tengan un buenísimo año 2025 familia!. 💖🐶💜📖💐
Thanks so much for your wonderful perspective on life, and for sharing your lovely family with us ❤
Thanks for sharing your story, it's nice to read about the experience of others. ❤️
I know Hamburg is very rainy, I have a friend who is from that city, he has told me 😅
Ultimately, I agree with you.
Happy to hear you liked Bergen. And yes, I did miss them so much. It was great seeing them again!
Very cozy town!! Thank you!!
Thank you for such kind words! I'm so happy you enjoy my videos. And very wise words also about home.
Thank goodness you’re back! Two weeks with out sweet Mochi was tough! Welcome back and Happy New Year!
I’m in full agreement 🙌🏻😁
Happy new year!! 😋🐶
Feels like therapy watching these videos
Bergen sounds like a fairytale, a tucked away little city we read about in novels. Magical.
Bergen is so pretty love the narrow streets good walks and Mochi giving the most precious welcome home 🐶❤️🌂
Home is where
Your heart is❤
Bergen and its houses looks lovely. I also love walking in the rain so the scenery was perfect for me🥰🥰
With a channel name like yours, you would LOVE Bergen 😅
Thank you for showing Bergen. It is one of the places I love so much! My youngest daughter was in Norway for 18 months. When she came back to the USA, we went to Norway in August, 2018. Bergen was one of the places we stayed. We got an AirBnB on the outskirts of the City of Bergen and we took the tram(?) to go places. It was raining cats and dogs the days we went to Bergen, but it in the afternoon, it stopped raining. Norway is so beautiful, and hopefully soon my husband and I will go visit Norway again.
Sounds like you had a very nice trip to Bergen (with the authentic weather! 😂) Hope you can visit again soon!
Happy you enjoy my Bergen videos. The city really has charm and is of course very dear to me 😀
Being greeted by that absolutely adorable face has made my day! I’ll be back later, when I have time to really savour your Vlog 🫶🏻
Hvala za ovu šetnju gradom.Mochi❤.Pozdrav Serbia👋
❤
Living in Tokyo, away from my family, I often ponder the idea of “home” too. I feel at home here in Japan after many years, but I know that my other “home” still exists with my family back in my country. 🤍☔
Thanks for sharing! It's nice to have two (or more!) homes ❤
Awesome music choice - slow, soft, moody jazz!!,🤗 Again, Great vlog - love the rain - there’ll never be a drought in Bergen!😄
TRUE! 😅
Good to see you, Mochi and Mr B are back and glad you got to spend some time in your hometown with friends and family. I love Bergen, even in the rain!
Best wishes to you all❤🦴🦴
your videos make me want to visit bergen, it is very beautiful, I like the narrow cobbled streets!!
Hope you visit one day!
Happy to hear you enjoy my videos! And thanks for your feedback ❤️
Thanks for you
I love looking at those charming buildings in Bergen, your nostalgic home town. Even a narrow street is picturesque. Thank you & Happy new year to you☺️
Happy new year to you! ❤️
I adored this film. It took me back a few years to my first and only visit to Bergen - very wet and rainy but interesting and different.
Happy to hear you enjoyed Bergen ❤️
Thank you for the beautiful view of Bergen :D
Oslo is modern while Bergen with its cobbled street narrow lanes and pretty colourful houses has its old world charm...
That book I will read in future as I too love to read and have a small home library. ..at the end when you returned home with Mochi greeting you that's the sweetest part !
The Bergen depiction in your hallway looks so good...
Enjoyed the hometown tour of yours !!!!
See you next week !
You’re right- The two cities are different like that 😀
Your vlogs are do peaceful. I love them
A home more than a physical space is a feeling.
Very beautiful what you post ❤
@@tizianarodriguez2896
Thanks a lot Tiziana. Hugs from Argentina.
If you enjoy silence, I think you will love Norway. I hope you can visit one day! ❤
@introvert-and-dog i hope so too
Thank you for your book recommendation ❤️ your video is as lovely as always
Thank you for another wonderfully cozy video. The way you tell your stories in these videos always puts me into a dreamy mood. And also thank you for so much kindness streaming from every episode! It is so important now the world's gone that harsh. ❤
I smiled when I read your kind comment. Thank you 😀
What a nice video...home...books..love...dog...greetings from Serbia ❤🇷🇸
You are so kind! Greetings from Oslo to Serbia ❤️
Hello guys! Your videos are a breeze of fresh air!
Thanks for sharing a bit of your routine with us!
Have a lovely weekend ahead!
Much love from Brazil!
Thank you friend! Love to Brazil as always 😀
Yeah you’re back 🎉 I was looking forward 🫶🏻
Hi guys,
you were missed a lot! What a wonderful sunset 🌅
Thanks for your heartwarming video and wise words.
Wish you guys a happy new year and all the best ❤
Muuuuuch love and a very big hug from Istanbul ❤
Hi dear friend, it's comforting to hear that other people also reflect on the topic of home. It can be more difficult when the two homes are in different countries like in your case. It takes not only time, but money to travel back and forth. But in the end, I guess we should be grateful to love more than one place. It is a blessing.
Big hugs from Oslo to Istanbul ❤️
A simple thank you for brightening my day. Bergen really looks beautiful even (or maybe because of) the rain. Gradually drinking in all your videos, so cleverly crafted.
Happy you enjoyed Bergen!
I like such people as they seem to be in norway, respecting others private space and being quiet themselves. It creates a peaceful atmosphere.
What a stunning city! Its position, climbing the hills, the red roofs, cobblestones and narrow alleyways and of course gorgeous houses. Thanks for the visit and I agree with you, based on this video, Bergen wins. 😉
Yes, there is something very special and poetic about rain. Happy you like it too!
You were lucky to have sun in Bergen 😀
McDonald's was very respectful when they moved into that old building 😀
Happy New Year to you and your family. I love the rain too and we just had two days of snow which is unusual in my town in the southern US. Thank you for the very cozy video.
What a lovely trip to Bergen ❤
I was thinking how difficult it must be to move in/move out or get furniture delivered to those sweet terrace type of houses in Bergen 💪( steep narrow walkways)
As expected Mochi is always a delight & thank you for the book recommendations, I'm sure they're available here in Australia in English. Love to all 😊
Oh yes, it's no joke to move when you live in one of those narrow streets! A friend of mine lived in one of those houses. When they moved in, the big furniture had to go through the windows on the second floor which were removed (!) because the entrance was too small 😅😅😅
@introvert-and-dog 😂 that's crazy isn't it, but a good solution 👌 I'm thinking no one has a grand piano in those houses 🤣😂🤣
Oh wow, you have a lot of snow in Indianapolis! It has snowed heavily here in Oslo too, so I'm happy to have real winter finally! 😀
@introvert-and-dog I forgot to say that Mochi laying in your lap is the sweetest thing♥Dear little Mochi loves you so much.
So happy to see a new video. I didn’t watch it immediately because I just wanted to savour knowing it was there and watching it when life was quieter. I’m such a weirdo lol.😂. Bergen is so picturesque. Nice to visit your hometown! Happy New Year🎉
You are so very sweet! ❤️
Hello friend- I'm so happy you could watch my video! Glad to hear you enjoyed the rainy city of Bergen 😀
Thank you for posting. Bergen is on my bucket list, rain and all, 😂 beautiful!!
Sounds like you have an artist's soul, my friend ❤️
It's a pleasure to be back in Bergen and its atmosphere. Thanks for the walks, it’s great to be able to discover this pretty, colorful city! Mochi as happy as ever, it’s a joy to see! As always, fun, culture, beauty and emotions are present in this vlog 🖤 🖤
You know, I never actually thought about the fact that Bergen is colorful. Because I grew up there, it was just "normal". So thank you for pointing it out, it's fun to see something familiar through different eyes. For the first time I'm really noticing how colorful Bergen is!
They say home is where the heart is ❤ Thank you for a beautiful video, as always.
Hello😊 I live in Bergen and in 2024 I started a Vlog from my life here. - Bergen is currently covered in Snow, and recently I made a video from a hike to Stoltzekleiven and Floyen (the two hiking spots above the harbour) in Snow! 😊
I’ve been following your vlog for a while, and find it so comforting and inspiring. Often it moves me to tears. You have a beautiful gift in story telling and I allways feel soothed by your videos. ❤
Greetings from Bergen😊
Thank you for your kind words. And how wonderful that you have a Bergen vlog. Now I can see my home town through your eyes. I subscribed! 😀
@ I’m so glad to hear😊😀✨There will be some renovation videos the next months, as we are currently renovating our office room😊 Wishing you, Mochi and Mr J a peaceful sunday, with greetings from Vestlandet✨
@@Quiet_Oak Love renovation videos!!
Hello and thank you so much for your kind comment! I hope your cousin enjoys his life in Norway. It takes some getting used to because the weather here in northern Europe can be very rough, especially in winter.
‘There is a veil between me and the city’. I can't define it better. Thank you for this wonderful vlog
It's definite now! Norway added to my bucket list. Thank you for this charming video tour.
Nice to See you again 👨❤️👨🐕. Happy new Year.🍀🍀🙌
Happy new year friend!
💕❤️🐶🇧🇷
Your words feel like a hug! Love from Oslo to you friend ❤️
Hello from Poland. Happy New Year to you both and sweet Mochi. Thank you for showing beautiful Bergen With love Barbara.
Happy new year! And love from Oslo to Poland ❤
@introvert-and-dog Thank you beautiful people.
A man after my own heart - " always a new book to be discovered!" Amen to that!!😁
We will (luckily) never run out of books to read 😀
I will treasure more the sunny days in my home country :)
Wishing you, Mr J and Princess Mochi a wonderful 2025 ahead!
I. and Mr. J. 🐶❤
Haha, I love that you have adopted a building in Oslo 😀
I think we are similar in that I too wonder who lives in houses I walk by. My imagination runs wild!
About parking: In Bergen, they built a huge underground parking complex a few years ago, so in the center, many cars park there.
Swedish and Norwegian are very similar as you have seen. If you know Swedish, you can easily understand Norwegian. Very practial! 😀
Hola!
14:32 I liked Mumintrollen when I was a kid. I had a book and there was also a cartoon. It was quite popular when I was little.
It's very nostalgic for me too 😀
Your words made me smile. Thank you!
Hi! Thank you for showing us Bergen. It's such a beautiful city with so many interesting little corners! But I agree with you, home is where those you share your life with are. I melted when I saw Mochi waiting for you at the door. So sweet!❤❤
I guess she heart my keys in the door and waited for me. It melted my heart to see her there too ❤️❤️❤️
Hi my. friend❤️Bergen is a very nice town. Home is where your heart is❤️, I think. Greetings from Poland
Very wise words, I think you are right!
I always appreciate watching your videos: the calm, the photography, the Mochi always do well for my soul. Thank you.
That makes me very happy!
A wonderful video once again❣️ Thanks...
Buongiorno caro mr.
Hi and thank you for your very kind comment. Your words really warmed my heart here in Oslo where it's currently very cold ❤️
Aw I missed you all ! Now my Sunday is complete! Thank you ❤xx
Divan video 🎉
Oh how wonderful! Hope you have a good time there 😋
You always deliver us a wonderful vlog, full of humanity and sensitivity, Mr. I. Thank you very much❤
My pleasure! ❤️
this place is magical, rainy days are underrated, love the narrow streets, cute McD
Qui sta per arrivare la neve ❄️ ❄️ ❄️ ❄️ ❄️ buon week end ❤
Dove? Qui niente.
Belgium! 😀
I think it is brave to move to another country like you did.
How I understand you when you say : " I love Mochi resting her head on me" ❤🐕🌸🩷💐
When a pet rests their heads on us, it's like they trust and love us fully. What a wonderful feeling!
I have moved around a lot all my life, and I really feel the lack of a place that I can say 'this is my home town/this is where I am from".
@introvert-and-dog You're welcome. Give Princess Mochi a hug and scratch behind the ears from me!
Tout est ❤ Merci et bon weekend 🙂
Lovely. Happy New Year Guys & Mochi. Aussie Bob ❤❤❤
Thank you! 😃 Hugs from Oslo to you Aussie Bob! ❤️
Saludos
Bonne année 🎉 these books were very successful in France. My friend in Quebec has read them all and loved them. I will definitely read one one day, as for now I am reading a beautiful collection of short stories from South Korea. Loved your visit of Bergen 😊 hello from one rainy city to yours 😅
Oh wow, it is fun to hear that a Norwegian author is read in many countries!
