In-person interaction with environments and people outside of our algorithms appears to often lead to valuable collaboration and innovation that differs significantly from what is achieved with virtual work and play.
I usually listen to music as i do chores. I wasnt recently cause when i get ten ft from it the signal to my headphones glitches. So i was thinking about it while i cleaned the table where the cat uses the mail like a matress. So i went to vaccum pivoting the table with no tunes just tryin to get finished.
Great episode, love the way this show makes me think since 2011 but im confused as to what the history of the earth means? Latif makes me wonder what his definition is for that question when he says "as we all know, in the past few years we've had the hottest years in the history of our planet" guess im not part of the all latif oh by the way neither is google. When asked google said the hotest time period of planet earth was 600 to 800 million years ago and many times its been hotter than it is now since then. No doubt we are causing global warming but its been way warmer before so whats your point? Please your better than that dont be like these fast food comercials
I gagged at the same point, and turned off the radio. Why do so many science journalists (NOVA?) feel that gross exaggeration is the way to make science more interesting. “Because no rocks on Earth have survived from so long ago, scientists have estimated early Earth conditions based on observations of the Moon and on astronomical models. Following the collision that spawned the Moon, the planet was estimated to have been around 2,300 Kelvin (3,680°F).”
I have two identical trees planted in my backyard about 15 feet apart. After 30 years one is almost twice as thick as the other… So much for the rings pseudoscience
