This is amazing. Biggest reason why I subbed. I saw the crazy reactions from everyone about OSS being banned. Everyone was acting as if Snake Eye is dead over just 1 card. But there's always a way around a road block. Thank you for proving that in this video. Would definitely love to see a profile of the deck! Thanks!
@dai-belizariusz3087 it's just a game. Not sure why you had to comment back with negativity. I just liked the fact that someone actually took the time to find different ways around what happened. Sorry for hurting your feelings about liking the fact that he put in the time to give advice. Thanks for the comment though.
It's definitely not that easy anymore. OSS definitely knocked the consistency of any level 1 fire engine down hard. Monday night locals was not a fun experience because of that. Trying to stay positive and make it work as best as I can.
@@JohnwiththewindAll he did was say something factual? Just because you don't like how he said it doesn't make it negative. 9 cards in the deck are no longer starters without OSS, that is fact.
@HighAndNoble Again. It's a game. He voiced his opinion. I voiced my opinion. I forgot, opinions aren't allowed. I'll remember next time. Thanks for your concern.
10:50 Board is Cross Sheep, Garunix, Flamberge, Ilia Silvia, Island & Sanctuary. Arvata GY eff hasn't been used but it could theoretically be another body like an ulcanix into OG Garunix. Flamberge + Garunix into I:P, trigger Flamberge if you want, I:P + Cross sheep into Princess, revive flamberge, place I:P into backrow and then link with princess + anything left into amblowhale. You still have the same board as before and even have resources left over, only difference now is that your bridge into other fire engines is through ash add and the combo is a lot more fragile now like an imperm or effect veiler on the cross sheep. Great discovery and combo nonetheless however! Thank you for this video.
I think the first combo can be so much better , you lost on like 2 body mid combo. (1st Oak's 2nd effect you could send field spell not poplar , 2nd you didnt use arvatas effect to bring back ponex for extra body for saryuja at the end ) with is you have the same end board plus more hand traps through saryuja.
Great video! You really gave two initial combos that I can cook up with. Intially when testing I was wrong into the problem where you need to use Promethen to bring back the Ponix. I also looked into take the Azamina package out. Cross Sheep fixes both issues entirely. I gotta test it more but you can still do similar lines.
I see a lot of people suggesting this and definitely like it. I will correct that it would be safer to send the Poplar first before Temple as those same people have suggested.
I have 1 copy in my concept build for the cases where you might have Island with a non-tri-beast fire. However I've never been a big fan of old Garunix and the fact that Ulcanix can't pop off unless you have a fire makes me not really like Ulcanix either. I'd only suggest Ulcanix in a build that doesn't run Sinful/Azamina to play with Zombie Vampire but imo that's always been too rng and situational. Plus you have no way to extend through a single effect negate (which was what Black Witch provided before)
That is definitely a great idea! However deck space is tight so I'd rather see engine pieces over potential bricks. I'm currently looking on 2 Deception, 3 Witch, 3 Wanted and considered a 3rd Deception so that might be the spot to fit it, but again with how crippled the Snake-Eye x Sinful/Azamina synergy is I'd highly recommend just focusing on getting the board we want before adding in extra. I definitely would consider it as a side option
I personally run only 1 deception in my builds as I find if they stop the 1st one, often times you're not resolving a 2nd one later, even if you survive. I would like to draw my monster engine more than my spells at that point. A searchable book of moon can stop current link/xyz strategies at a critical chokepoint. Then you can just recycle it back with Wanted and search it again back on your turn.
With the way the line works you have to send the Ash because ultimately you're trying to get it to gy to special summon it and continue your lines whether it's through Cross Sheep or Princess
Second combo with oak and ponix can make duelittle, add garunix and duelittle add back ponix and then summon ponix from hand after using garunix to destroy arvata from deck and revive duelittle. Should be more efficient and make a better board from there.
Absolutely because the foundation of it is to use Ash to search for it, get it to gy, and then bring it back via Sheep or Princess. With R-Ace you got up to 6 R-Ace cards you can send to gy and reborn (3 Lifter, 3 Hydrant) so sending them would work just as it would with Ponix in FK.
Hello and good video. Im playing Fire King-Snake Eye no Azamina, I want to know if exists a way to make it works after the banlist or if it only must be used with Azamina as you showed us, I know Original was the best card for the combos but I really want to know if are other ways to play it and which cards can be used make the combos, I hope you can help me and tysm
If you want to make Snake-Eye Fire King work you'll have to run what pure Fire King has to run: 3 Island. You can't rely on Kirin giving you the ability to play through an interruption nor the limited to 1 One For One so Island is your way to extend past your opponent's interruption. You'll have to run 3 Bonfire because without having Ash or Oak in hand you can't truly utilize the amazing extension it can offer when it can pop-off (aka get Flamberge on field.) In the case of Island you'll have to run 2-3 Ulcanix (imo 2 is most correct) and old Garunix to utilize Island without a fire tri-beast. The greatest weakness you'll have though is that you won't be Nibiru-proof which is what the Sinful/Azamina lines offer.
@@VZDuelist thx for the answer, I was testing the deck and I was thinking on add 2 bonfire cuz I was using only 1, I will test first on MD to check the combos using the deck as you say. Tysm again.
If you could share that combo please do because the only thing I can think of is that it has to be a 2-card combo that would have to include either Kirin or better yet Island, not a 1-card Ash only line. 1 Ash only worked because of OSS which no longer is playable.
with yubel stronger than ever, Ryzeal destroy and negate and Maliss removal, a two card combo for full board is just not meta anymore. The final board is still strong, but the ways to achieve that goal aren't that good anymore for a meta deck. As the video said, the deck is not consistent anymore, with the previous hits, this one hurts even more than expected. Cross ship is a fun solution, but not a game changer. Snake eye can still steal some win in locals, some top 64 in major tournaments, but 'till some new support comes, it's the facto the end of the year of fire.
Absolutely which is why I say that this will not make this deck as competitively viable as it was before. Even then the deck was starting to fade out and get power-crept bad which is why the OSS hit is all the more agitating to anyone who played the deck. I get people are sick and tired of how powerful the deck was, but those people harnessed the hatred past its due, continued to call for the death of the deck, and Konami just catered to them. Didn't matter that at this point it was excessive and the fact they just granted a similarly problematic deck like Yubel more consistency while erasing ours is an insult.
In no way am I saying this deck is tier 0 and capable of consistently handling the meta matchups. The logic that this deck loses to Ryzeal could be said about pretty much any deck right now that doesn't mean people should just only play Ryzeal now. Literally 1 Book of Moon/Eclipse, Imperm, Droplet, Evenly outs a Ryzeal endboard
the original syngery of the two engines came lots from snake-eyes, not so much from fire king. if i liked fire king better than snake eyes, but currently i play fire king snake eyes, since you say we got nerfed, which we did, wouldn't it make sense to consider other engines now to run with it alongside? do we go back to pure fire king? what would you say is the main advantage the snake-eye engine brings to the deck with its what ... 7-10 cards? fire king is a pop-deck right. our advantage is mainly popping others and getting our guys back from GY. we can singular pop, full pop via big phoenix or XYZ. what is an engine, that's probably a relatively hard question, but anyone can try, im thinking about it myself at the moment, what other engine, with about 7-10 cards could fit well into this deck? we constantly destroy our own shit, to combo it with stuff from GY. the synergy with Snake-eyes is obvious, snake-eyes also come back from GY easily. Diabellstar basically is always on the field, no matter how often she dies, big drake can come back also. i was thinking of Fire King main engine, handtraps/support, and then also add 6-9 cards from Labrynth, because their main engine is also easy and fast to setup, and big welcome labrynth really only needs one monster to tribute, and we usually, if we haven't blown up everything, we also have a monster free for that, and it would always trigger neat GY effects. let's say you're adding 1x welcome labrynth, 3x big welcome labrynth for the card-pop, 2x lovely, 1x lady, 1/2x ariana that would make side-labrynth engine "cost" around 8-9 cards, similar to how many cards of snake-eye i have currently in my fire king. the biggest problem is the increased bricksize, since with snake-eyes i only have 1 dragon brick, but with labrynth id have 3 extra fat bricks that are useless if i draw them, being the 2x lovely and 1x lady, if you draw them that's really bad. so i guess deck would be more bricky if i did that. maybe only 1/2x lovely, not a single lady, to make it less bricky, im not sure. i wonder how that would work, because the labrynth pop from the lovely could work really well, with the all exploding, but never ending power of fire king. maybe im wrong. id try and play it right now, but im a poor pleb. but i think that deck is my next goal ... fire king with small engine of labrynth, without their field spell, just the lovely card-pop. lots to read, if you care to read share your thoughts! great video subbed.
Right now the best splashable engine (zero to none) is Fiendsmith. Since the banlist fears are over around it the Engravers skyrocketed and instantly become not budget friendly to those that never picked them up. That said I've looked towards pure Fire King and Tri-brigade and the same problem would always arise: once your opponent interrupts your normal summon, that's it. When the engine is that fraile that means pushing through established boards becomes impossible. That's always where the Sinful Spoils engine came into play. Black Witch doesn't have access to OSS, but it does have access to extension, an omni-negate, and a draw 1. That and after tinkering with card combinations the fact you can use additional normal summons out of hand as fodder for Black Witch to then just bring it back out of gy later ends up being pretty good. Yes, dumping an engine starter from hand ends up being beneficial thanks to Princess and now Cross Sheep. Labrynth doesn't have that great of synergy with FK specifically because it runs best with a lot of normal traps which FK doesn't gain from and FKs can't run off of the Lab cards. The kind of engines you want to run with them are destruction cards like Zoodiac Barrage (which at 1 is too situational and proportionally not worth running targets for for the FK engine to work with.) Tri-brigade is the closest thing to having solid synergy because of the fire bodies that Island and Ulcanix can use and Ulcanix can search for, but as I mentioned it doesn't navigate hand traps well and has no consistent extension power behind it. Plus you miss out on the Princess in most cases. But the best additional engine to play at this time is Fiendsmith because it establishes it's own strong end boards without tapping into any other resources. So why do I still pick Snake-Eye Azamina? Admittedly just because of the familiarity I have after playing it for so long and because most of us are still new to not playing FK without OSS and Snake-Eye/Sinful it's hard to pick up something else. I do want to experiment more with Tri-brigade and even more particularly Lyrilusc. Surprisingly Lyrilusc provides a solution to the lack of extension, but you do need to run quite a bit to allow that to play well which means you're using up a lot of deck space for it.
