Fast, has confidence, big impact player, smart, strong, skilled, and BEASTY. What a complete Cornerback. I hope he plays for the CHARGERS! We need a CB like him.
HTTR bruh, im just so happy we didnt pick DJ swag or any of those knuckle head Bleacher report guys. David is a tall corner that can play the free saftey, nickle corner or even outside corner. for us that's a first round talent. im a gator fan but im a little confused at the Jordan Reed pick but we looking good with dual TE sets. We need to trade all our 6th and 7th rd picks and cash in with mult 4th and 5th rds for a good draft because we need an ILB, RT, and another DB.
He had a remarkable season with 13int so people always ask whats wrong with him or my favorite why isn't he doing anything with JUST 5int. People have to realize that you can't expect that out of a player 2years in a row.And it's not just because its damn near impossible, but because what qb in his right mind would even throw a ball to him. The fact that he actually has that many int this year speaks about his play. I'd just like to see him play better man coverage
his most impressive attribute is how well he returns those interceptions... ima WR turned DB and thats wat i do best, return interceptions. if u look at all the great DB's in NFL history They all have a considerable amount of INT Return Yards... Ed Reed-1,541 Rod Woodson-1,483 Darren Sharper-1,412 Deion Sanders-1,331... see a trend here? this kid is going to be a beast
i wont say he is the next Revis bu the football always seems to find his hands. great height for a corner, should battle with the elite wr in the NFL. If this guy goes to a team with passrushers already he might be an all pro even on a down year.

I just said that if David Amerson was more in the mold of Asante Samuel than Darrelle Revis or Namdi Asomuga (less consistent shutdown ability but a ton interceptions) than he would still be an awesome cornerback. If anything I said Asante Samuel was a containment cornerback, though I didn't actually mean that way (many would argue he is though).
I would question his ability if your gonna put him at corner. But in my opinion this guy is a all pro free saftey at the next level. He goes for the ball like he's a 6'3 Ed Reed. He's a ball hawking saftey imo. You could put him at corner, but he would be a "Cromartie type" No. 2 containment corner not a shut down corner. But at Free Saftey is where he'lll be a special player.
Putting him at safety would be stupid he has great speed and fluent hips at his size this guy is a ball hawk and has great coverage skills i think he is steal of the draft beacause players are overlooked. Matt barkley fir instance he had a great year last year. They expected him to do better than he did last year he didnt but he still had a great year and his stock drops because he didnt produce like he did last year. Same thing happened to aaron rodgers and tom brady in college
God true that. I kinda glad Tyrann Mytheiu's draft stock is dropping hoping we can get him. Hey maybe we can get lucky and grab TJ McDonald and the "HoneyBadger". Wouldn't hurt my feelings if they drafted corner every round and left only two spots for other positions the backfield needs it.
i doubt it because hes in the right spot at the right time. and the only time corners get picks is on bad throws unless your elite like revis or primetime
Well if he can get that many interceptions he's allowed to be out of position on a few plays (i.e. "containment" corner). I'm not saying your wrong, (I've never even seen him play outside of this tape), but the kid just looks like he has the speed and athleticism to play corner back. I feel that Ed Reed is "more" great because of his intelligence than athleticism. Maybe he has some growing to do or maybe his style is more comparable to asante samuel than namdi asomuga or darrelle revis.

Nah he's better at safety because he lacks the straight line speed to keep up with the fast wide receivers . Plugging him in at safety will allow him to take advantage of his skill set and he'll excel at it, as well.
Damn, can he tackle? Knock down passes in coverage? All I see is him picking off bad passes. Looks like great hands and ball skills but is there anything else he can do?
He seems to be out of position on a lot of these plays (not all the time) but then uses his athletecism to outjump the defender or take advantage of a poorly thrown pass which many of these are. That is no huge knock, but I question his ability at the next level where EVERYone is a top tier athlete.
