That's true enough. But, this is because we're not allowed to invest a portion of our social security in the free market, like other countries do with their old-age retirement funds. Instead, for half a century the IRS held a gun barrel to my head and stole the sweat from my brow in order for the gov't to spend my hard-earned sweat in the most irresponsible and self-serving manner, as outlined in just one example by Sen. Just a note: 1 million immigrants a year is more than some U.S. state populations. In 3 years it's more than 16 state populations. 1 million a year is already insane.

deathrate: 1950 - 1,425,000 total
9.50 per 1,000 people
2023 - 3,145,000 total
9.25 per 1,000 people
birthrate: 1950 - 3,750,000 total
25.00 per 1,000 people
2023 - 4,110,588 total
12.09 per 1,000 people
Population growth: 1950 - 3,235,000
2023 - 965,588
These numbers don't take immigration numbers into account. But, just by birthrate and death rate alone, there is a large different in population growth.
Lots of things to take into consideration regarding how many per year is appropriate. I think most politicians these days are looking at the number of workers vs the number of people on retirement social security as well as disability social security.
So you would need to look at the number of people immigrating who are working vs how many working people are retiring or dying also.
I think there needs to be a balance. What are our resources available per population (natural resources, infrastructure, social services) and what is the extraction and building rate for those resources. Quality of life and what is the current social and moral outlook of citizens vs those migrating here need to be taken into account also.
Well yeah, politicians have to look at what's going on with social security because if they don't replace the base of the pyramid scheme they have created, people might notice that politicians in every single western country have been stealing from the retirement accounts.
Retirement accounts were supposed to compensate for inflation through interest rates and investing-- and every penny was supposed to go back into the accounts. Instead, politicians allocated that money to the government slush fund.
Having resources doesn't mean you have to allow foreigners into your country. Especially since that has an impact of birth rates. So does the fact that the economy has been going downhill for decades at least. At this point our GDP consists of 40% government spending.
But it's fine. Our food and water supplies are poisoned. GL to the invaders coming in, cause they're stuck eating it too.
America can't afford them, they really need to go home and upgrade their own countries.
And nothing can stop them!

There is a movement to destabilize and collapse this nation to rebuild it into something it was never designed to be. I am guessing you are Italian. My ancestors are from there. I would come back in a heartbeat but unfortunately Italy is in similar shoes. But it is from a procreation standpoint, not people purposely trying to destroy your nation. There is no easy answer. We will probably be into ruin and/or civil war before this plays out. The world is going to feel it.

I disagree, we need to help Ukraine to stop poopin, it is an investment for future security and stability and we must secure our own border, I think we can do both.
We don't send cash to Ukraine we send weapons. The funds for Ukraine goes to our U.S. manufacturers to make new stuff, that we keep to replace the old stuff we send. It actually updates our military supplies. Rand Paul knows this.

Term limits and audits for every government representative to start. People really need to wake up and put pressure on these politicians that are selling the country out.
We have term limits they are 2 years in the House and 6 years for Senators but people (voters) are lazy and vote for the same idiots over and over again.
