It doesn't really matter if there are 7 ways to verify your website or 1007 ways of doing it if you do not explain in terms that someone does not understand software. You say go to your homepage and add the tag - where? How? My homepage is pictures of my products - where does the tag go?

Thank you that was so helpful. In no time, 3 different sites all verified. I've always found it confusing but you made it super easy. I went method 2 - URL prefix (at 7:08) - copied HTML tag and added the generated tag to the website's home page header, published the site and... voila, instant verification.

When can we connect Google Search Console to Google Analytics, when verifying the via the (new) Domain method?

i was using search console for ages, then when i went back after the covid pause i got a notice i had to verify the site. meanwhile analytics still works?! if i verify now with search console, will i lose all the info that i had before?

NEED Help! I was not able to verify from GSC (in 24hr) so I deleted the record from my Bluehost DNS (TXT) and pasted new record from GSC still not able to verify... Did I mess it up? help please!
Hi: Is there a way to verify the site and crawl it if the site is password protected? Is there a way to feed Google the credentials so that they can crawl the site successfully and verify ownership?

Your training is good, but in which settings of home page,where HTML tag shoul be paste on it.
I already get verify though my DNS, but I accident delete the HTML TXT in my DNS Configuration. Can you help me to find the TXT, in the google search console? I try to remove the property on the search console and add the same domain name to redo the whole verification but it didn't give my any html TXT just auto verify me, but my GMB is now unverify.

They probably want you to pay them to fix it, instead of providing you with clear and easy to follow instructions. That is what some other web companies do, although I did not expect that from Google.
Why do you need to verify your website??

They can then de-verify your website at any time, so you will then need to pay them to fix it. This is a not uncommon practice among some dodgy website developers. If Google wants us to pay them for the services they provide, why don't they just say so, do they have rocks in their heads?

How do you upload the downloaded file to the root directory?
Do they answer you? It is very unclear where to upload the downloaded file... I'm struggling a lot !

These clowns are making things as difficult as they can. I used to work as a technical writer in the software industry writing clear and easy-to-follow instructions for non-technical users to follow, and I can recognise bullshit instructions when I see them, and this video is total bullshit. I don't know exactly what is going on but I certainly don't like it. Possibly this is the beginning of the end for Google.

I have had google analytics and google search console working just fine on my website for more than six months and now I have to verify that I am who I am - why? I cannot follow any of your instruction and so have to spend money on finding someone to do this unnecessary work for no apparent reason whatsoever
but why need verification sub domains too?
you might have separate teams for shop.example.com and www.example.com
I can't imagine why you would promote a domain name registrar such as Godaddy, as they are a joke, although possibly not quite as bad as some of the other registrars.

Hoogle analytics worked for me you just have to creat a property and copy the id then paste it on my website in my case ( google sites) easy enough to navigate
