Definitely! They come at a cost! Haha. Any boat is better than no boat! Mine needs work as well…
Dee, looks like y'all have room for another man on board to share fuel costs. Holler at me next time! 👍👍
❤ Black snapper is my favorite ❤
Not a black snapper it's a Gray mangrove Snapper Black is wenchman they are not the same
Around here we call mangrove snapper/Grey snapper - Black snapper…. Some people even called then Mango snapper.
I'll take a big mangrove over a big red snapper all day every day!!
Same! Haha
I bet that was hell and a half on that mono line 😂
Bruh!!! Haha
Wow that's hard to believe everybody's complaining about the red snapper you can't get away from them but you didn't get any keepers
The problem is, we catch them on almost every drop when they are out of season. But when they’re season is opened for a month or 2 you can’t hardly catch a keeper. They either get depleted or move to deeper waters where not everyone is willing to travel to…
Grey snapper
Cool vid bro. For the past few years sharks have become a nuisance here in Gulf Shores too. Overpopulation to blame. So many regulations on them and hardly any commercial fishing for them. We lose a majority of the fish we hook to sharks and that is a complete waste. Smh 👍🏼🤙🏼
@@stevenmcadams6621 agreed! 👍
Never seen a bait fish hooked in the gut. I take the circle hook upward thru the mouth where it comes out into the hard part just below the eyes or back behind the dorsal fin.
I’ve hooked ‘em every which way! Depends on what I’m fishing for.
Pops
A problem? Sharks live in the ocean and feed there too. I have fished FL since 1955 and have never considered them a problem and have hooked hundreds of them.
I'm sure you don't see the red snapper, grey triggerfish or the Goliaths a problem either. Protected an over regulations do more harm than good to a fishery.
It's not that there's sharks in the Gulf but the amount of sharks we have now. Problem has really been getting worse every year.
@@448outdoors I am hearing that on East Coast of Fla too...if there are so many sharks...does that also mean that other things are doing good in order to provide enough Food for the sharks in order for the shark population to get where it is today?
Not necessarily, it's no different than the over regulations of reef fish. When you get more of a certain type fish then other fish suffer. It's all about balance. But I'm not a biologist but just someone who's witnessed a lot over the years. @@leevancleef358
You nailed it! Sharks thrive and everything else starts to suffer. But were just fisherman. Not marine biologist… it’s definitely getting worse! Haha
