    Does the processor keeps data?? I thought a CMOS chip would contain the data.

    Couldn't you just put the recovered processor to the new ECU without any programming and using another 3rd ECU just to read the data from the original processor...???

      No, because the customer didn’t want me to open the case of the new ECU.
