This is the vid that talked me into doing my cs400 2 years later so happy i did its got a 18in Oregon bar and a stihl chain an i love it it cuts just as good as my stihl ms271farmboss and is lighter+easier to start i do like my stihls i have tho but the cs400 is one of my favorite saws i own i use it alot
@@moosekiller2004 saw runs flawless to this day I replaced the primer bulb and fuel lines since then but that's all it's needed I changed the plug to a E3 spark plug also for good measure but the old plug was good
Probably- but if you need a new muffler to return it for warranty claim, it'll cost you $50 bucks on fleabay. More importantly, ECHO seems to be the rock squeezing consumer against the EPA hard place. These saws have a rep for engine seizures that ECHO blames on the user, not the excessively lean carb settings. Not sure if there's a metallurgy issue with block/pistons as well, but ECHO seems to routinely deny claims.
A little dramatic on the throttle bumps huh.
Yeah I was waiting for that thing to come back up and bite him!
A little my A**
My thoughts exactly 😂
Hahaha

How’s the saw holding up after being modded? Have to do some carb maintenance, and debating the mods lol

It took 18 seconds to cut 3 wafers both sets, but the second set after the muffler mod were much wider so it was definitely faster!
Good job , you have it cutting the way they cut when tuned and muff modded
Thanks for the video. This, and your thread on the arborist site helped motivate me to do a muff mod on my new cs400.
Echo makes outstanding engines but they are all way too choked down to meet EPA emissions. Most have a super restrictive catalytic converter.
lol, bit dramatic with the torque dude, LOL
She sounds excellent. Just got mines today. She seems to backfire. Gas mixture is right. Not sure why?
running too rich adjust carb
Remove limiter caps from carb
Did u have to adjust the carb
Yes
@@obeconoberougle9497 how exactlty from h and l screws ?
@@demolaj1 Yes, you need to turn both the H and L screws out a little to richen the fuel back up. Otherwise it will most likely be running lean.
Thats about 20% faster
What did you do to mod?
Do these mods void Echo warranty?

Warranty is under W in the dictionary
