Walekumsalam! If P, T and R are same, then compound interest and simple interest will be equal if compounding period is equal to total time.

If at the end of each compounding period or some compounding periods, a fraction of the amount is paid, the principal for the next compounding period will be lesser and so the interest in that compounding period. In some of these cases compound interest will come out to be lesser than simple interest.
