Took the Comptia security plus SY0-701. Did not pass score was 666 but am determined to pass. Want to thank you for your videos as they really helped. Will update soon.
@@tommypham1101 yes I did. The PBQ’s I got were network related. I did get one Malware PBQ and it was very similar to the ones shown in this video and cyberkrafts other malware PBQ video.
Not a fan of all the subjectivity in Sec+. Things in CYSA and Pentest seem more cut and dried, but Sec+ seems to have a lot of ambiguity around answers, particularly in the ones with multiple solutions. Using the first one as an example, I'd first look at if there are a bunch of programs running via task man>processes>sort by memory. If not, then run the antivirus/malware. If still no detections, then as last resort I'd start fresh. Really shouldn't be the go-to in my opinion.
I took the 701 exam yesterday and passed on my first try! Thank you for walking through these example PBQs, they helped me know how to analyze the ones I got.
@@southkiddJ Yes, they were first on my test. But I skipped over them and did all the multiple choice first which worked better for me (since my PBQs were intimidating and took time).
@@southkiddJ I believe I got 100% on one of them because it was very similar to practice questions like in this video, but the other two I got partial credit because they were abstract network concepts that I was unfamiliar with.
I've been studying via N2K (grant provided to me), and just found your videos last week. I took the exam today, no IT background. I got a 730. SO DANG CLOSE. I have another voucher, so think I will watch all of the videos I can. Not a single port question, and only two labs but I had never seen either of them. I weak in real world context application for configuration and security architecture I think. Thank you for your videos.
That is a ridiculously absurdedly huge fileless virus. By the way, most -- if not all -- crypto-malware is going to check to see if Task Manager is running, and will pause their activity if so.
Thanks for the videos, made me realize I need to study a little more before taking my 701 test. BUT what happened to the 3rd video, says 1 is hidden/unavailable? Did a fileless virus take it out? :)
"Why are there so many Wi-Fi adapters? Ha-ha!" What? There's only one Wi-Fi adapter. There's also just one physical Ethernet adapter. There are 3 other virtual Ethernet adapters: two for VMWare and one for VirtualBox.

take my sec+ tomorrow been studying your material for several months, along with additional material. Wish me luck!
Good luck!!
Did you pass?
Did u pass? Was the pbq malware related?
@@jfisher164 hi yes I did. My apologies about the late response.

I passed yesterday on my first attempt! Your videos on the pbqs were instrumental in my being able to do that. Many thanks! 👑
Was the PBQ relate to malware? I’m taking mine in 7 days

Congratulations! Did you take the 601 or 701?

Did you have 3 PBQs to start?

@@mori_grant_author do you believe you answered them correctly?

@@mori_grant_author I concur. I can’t even find study material on the network concepts and I’m pretty sure I keep getting those two incorrect
Took my test today and passed! One of the PBQ i had was very similar to the third PBQ in this video
so he removed the one that was actually helpful?

What did the pbqs base on for you? Under firewalls, etc?

Last question on drag and drop, how come virus is a self replicate malware? Thought virus need human actions to be replicated
That's what I thought too.
virus need human interaction to run. but it also self replicate.
Thank you so much for the video! please keep it up!! much love
Another great video, thanks for sharing!
