The lead singer of this incredible English music group was Freddie Mercury. His real name was Farrokh Bulsara, and he was born in Zanzibar in 1946...he and his Parsi-Indian parents fled the Zanzibar Revolution to England in 1964. Just thought you folks might be interested to know that.✌✌💯💯
and he was TRULY British, we brits all love him he is one of us, and will be the best British singer and Band of ALL time
Thus, the introduction of the Arabic: “B’ism Allah, no, we will not let him go!”
And he sadly is no longer among us. He died of aids in 1991
@@madsdahlc he didnt die he just ascended to teach the angels how to really sing
@@Greenwood4727 Beautifully said man .
A few fun facts about Queen:
* Guitarist Brian May has a Ph.D. in Astrophysics and built his electric guitar (Red Special) when he was 17 (with his dad).
* Bassist John Deacon has a degree in electronics. He designed and built the amp that Brian sometimes uses to create unique sounds on Red Special. John was also involved in the band’s financial management.
* Drummer Roger Taylor has a degree in biology (pre-med). His vocal range is better than most lead singers of other groups.
* Lead singer Freddie Mercury has a degree in graphic design. It goes without saying that his vocal range was amazing and he was the best front man of any band.
* All four have written #1 hits, and all are members of the Songwriters Hall of Fame.
Also Freddie Mercury is one of the few elite singers with a vocal range greater than 4 octaves. Think Mariah Carey and Christina Aguilera.
* Freddy Mercury also designed and drew the bands logo, using the 4 star signs of each member.
And Brian May is considered to be in the top 4 best guitarists in the world.
Also first ever music video in 1975 so the song would get played on top of the pops as they were on tour so we're unable to appear in person.
The Science is undeniable. By 1976, many countries were freed from British rule. I grew up around the Beltway when it came out and it was probably Casey Kasum (Shaggy) who told us on Amercian Top 40, how "Night at the Opera" almost didn't happen. David Bowie was also an amazing tour de force.
i love to watch people listening to this song for the first time.
the reactions are priceless.
I found it kind of strange how he knew the words to "so you think you could love me and LEAVE ME to die", (watch him lip-sync "love me") considering it was his first time ever hearing the song. 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
@@bonscotty67
i wasnt looking at his lips.
but hey. you're attracted to whom you're attracted. i'm not criticizing that.
@@sabin97 Huh?? Nevermind.
@@bonscotty67 Yeah, I noticed that when he 1st did it and then he did it a few times later. Dude DEFINITELY has heard it before.
always puts a smile on my face when they are like oh okay this is cool to WHOAAAA lolol
"What is happening..?! " - one of the best reactions i ever seen)))))
If you ever get headphones or earbuds, you need to listen to this song again, it is so musically and vocally complex. It is an iconic song by an iconic band. Queen never stuck to a single genre' so if you investigate their catalog, you will find everything from speed metal to songs of blues, jazz, vaudeville, and even songs that sound like lullabies. Their harmonies are unlike any other, Freddie Mercury's voice is considered to be the best in rock and among the best voices of all time. Both Roger (drums) and Brian (guitar) have outstanding voices as well and are also lead vocalists, but with Queen, they left most of it to Freddie. This band was together for 20 years until Freddie passed away in 1991 and have a catalog of 200 plus songs. All four members wrote songs and each of them had at least 3 number 1 hits and all have been inducted into the songwriter's hall of fame. The band has also been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of fame. All four members are college grads, Freddie with a degree in Design/Fashion/Advertising (he designed the Queen logo which still appears today on everything officially Queen), John (bass) an advanced degree in electronics (he built a special amplifier "The Deacy Amp" from junk he found in a dumpster. Brian still uses that amplifier to create alternative sounds from his guitar like strings, cello, horns and a few random other sounds. As of today, nobody has been able to recreate that amplifier though people have been trying to do so for 50 years. From what I understand, one company has nearly reproduced it), Roger (drums) a degree in Biology (he was in dental school when he had to quit because the band had become very popular and had an extensive tour schedule), and Brian (guitar) has a PhD in Astrophysics and currently does some work with NASA as well as continuing to tour with Roger as Queen + Adam Lambert. Brian built his own guitar with his dad when he was a teen, from junk they had laying around the house. He still uses that same guitar today, it is know as "The Red Special" sometimes fondly referred to as "The Old Lady" and also as "the Fireplace" because the body of the guitar was made from the wood of an old fireplace. Both Roger and Brian are in their 70s now and each have had/have successful solo music careers. Brian May was recently awarded the honor of the best rock guitarist and Queen was recently awarded the title of the best rock band of all time. Thank you for your reactions.
Agreed, they need to listen to this with quality headphones.
Excellent introduction of Queen to these folks! They're not your everyday rock band, they are exceptionally talented on and off the stage and not everyone knows this! Great job, thank you! 😊
Why would they do this, these two heard this song many times, they are reacting the first time here.
I agree with you 100% on that.
Decent speakers work just as well, I got a decent set of PC monitors, and you can clearly hear the complexity, of course headphones will give you more clarity since no audio distractions
NO CGI! all of the multiplications of the band are created with lenses and mirrors in front of the camera. Super cool.
The band's lead singer Freddie Mercury (Farokh Bulsara) is ethnically Parsi. He was nicknamed Freddie at school in Bombay. His family lived in Africa. Their family emigrated to the UK as refugees.
This is a song you experience. You don't just listen to it, you feel it. Freddie Mercury is a Legend! and Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody is Legendary!
A breathtaking performance... I always feel emotional listening to this Queen song...
Freddie Mercury will be missed...FOREVER...💔
FREDDIE IS A LEGEND!!
Queen is English, not American. ;)
And yes, it is one of the best bands ever. You should check out their Live Aid concert . :)
you tell em woody.
Though you're 100% accurate on their nationality, I think the US connection is somewhat truthful as well. It was our purchase power that launched this album.
@@DisposableEgo but after I want to Break free they didnt do america anymore because american puritans
@@DisposableEgo actually Bohemian Rhapsody only got to number 9 in the states, and the band did not really break into the American market until the 1980 album The Game... Bohemian Rhapsody spent 9 weeks at number 1 in the UK alone.
@@DisposableEgo I'm not sure Wayne's World can take all the credit for Queen's success, ha ha.
I remember listening to the radio in our minivan on the way to school. Remember the time, surroundings, and my family’s reaction to the death of Freddie Mercury. ‘Succumbed to AIDS…blah..blah.
My Dad started crying, and it was contagious in the car with the four of us kids.
Amazing band…..
This song was inducted into the American Library of Congress this year as a cultural icon-A very great honor, well deserved.
… but its a English band… not american
@@heidifarstadkvalheim4952 The song had a cultural impact on American music and attitudes and art. While they are a British band they belong to the world and the world loved them.
Queen is a British rock band that was formed in 1970 and was comprised of:
Freddie Mercury - Lead vocals and piano
Roger Taylor - Drummer and vocals
Brian May - Lead guitar and vocals
John Deacon - Bass guitar
"Bohemian Rhapsody" released originally in 1975 is the creation of Freddie Mercury but he never told anyone what he was thinking when he wrote the lyrics. Freddie tended to write in metaphors so I would not suggest taking any of his songs literally. He wanted listeners to be able to apply to the song whatever meaning it had to them personally. Not what it meant to him.
BTW - Freddie did admit that it was composed of three separate songs that he had been working on but could not seem to finish. So he decided to mash them together, adding some transitions and bridges, and created "Bohemian Rhapsody".
"Bohemian Rhapsody" can be broken down into 6 parts:
Part I is the "Into". The video image shows the four members of Queen singing and harmonizing the lyrics of the "Intro" in acapella. In reality, it is only Freddie's voice you hear on the recording. Freddie laid down 5 separate tracks of himself singing and harmonizing with himself. (FYI - multi-tracking and overdubbing runs rampant in Bohemian Rhapsody.)
Next is the "Ballad" portion of the song ('Mama, just killed a man'). Freddie had worked on it for years but the song never had a name. The other members of Queen tentatively titled it "Freddie's Cowboy Song". The lyrist Tim Rice (who wrote the lyrics for "Jesus Christ, Superstar", "Evita", "Alladin", "The Lion King", ...) who was a close friend of Freddie's believes this portion of the song’s lyrics were about Mercury confessing to his fans that he was gay.
The third section is the guitar solo. This is the only part of Bohemian Rhapsody not written by Freddie. Freddie told Brian that he wanted a guitar solo in the song and where he wanted it to fit into the song but left it to Brian to create. Brian wanted to have his guitar effectively sing a verse that would inject a different melody. He heard something in his head. He said that he could hear this melody and had no idea where it came from. That melody isn’t anywhere else in the song, but it’s on a familiar chord sequence, so it dovetails in quite nicely.
The guitar solo leads to the fourth section is the "Operatic" section. Freddie not only loved Rock but he loved Opera. He was always fascinated with the idea of combining rock and opera. It took 3 weeks to record "Bohemian Rhapsody" and the "Operatic" section was much smaller when they began recording but Freddie kept adding on to it. There are various lyrics in the "Operatic" section that seems to refer to the band.
Freddie casts himself as Scaramouche, a stock clown of 16th-century Italian literature. Galileo who was an Italian astrometer, physicist, and engineer definitely refers to Brian (Queen's lead guitarist) who in real life is Dr. Brian May,, who has a Ph.D.in Astrophysics. Figaro refers to the Mozart opera, "The Marriage of Figaro" and it is a subtle way to reference Roger Taylor (Queen's drummer) who has a four-range vocal span (E2-E6) and was even frequently cited as hitting E5 in live performances. Freddie compared Roger's voice to a dog whistle. The final reference of Magnifico is John Deacon, who has a degree in Electrical Engineering. John is the creator of the "Deacy Amp" which when connected to Brian May's guitar through a treble-booster could produce sounds reminiscent of various orchestral instruments, such as violin, cello, trombone, clarinet, or even vocals.
It is hard to realize that it is only Freddie, Brian, and Roger singing in the "Operatic" section (John never sang on the records). This was 1975, well before digital recordings and they were using 24-track analog tape. This made it necessary for the three to overdub themselves many times and "bounce" these down to successive sub-mixes. Some sections feature 180 separate overdubs!
The fifth section is the "Hard Rock" portion. In this section, Freddie sings angry lyrics addressed to an unspecified "you", accusing them of betrayal and abuse and insisting "can't do this to me, baby", before the final lines conclude with him singing, "just gotta get right outta here". (FYI - the "Operatic" and the "Hard Rock" sections of BoRap were featured in a scene in the 1992 film Wayne's World, in which the main character and his friends headbang in a car to the rock part.)
In the sixth and final section, the "Outro" returns back to the "Ballad" to close the circle of the song and ends with the sound of a Chinese gong.
Welcome to the world of Queen.
4:30 thats exactly the look of my 6 and 8yr old boys when hearing this song the first time :)
5:20 and that was my reaction too when i was 7yr old back in 1984 listening to the the song the first time from an LP :)
You definetly heard the song the first time!
thanks for all ur innocent and honest reactions 😊
Queen are British and brilliant, try out ‘somebody to love’ live in Montreal they are even better live.
fun fact, Queen is the only band ever that every member of the band has multiple (at least 3) songs that have hit #1, making them, in my humble opinion, the greatest band to ever exist.
Listen with headphones on. You won't believe how good this is.
Oh yes, I came here to say this. It’s a whole different experience. I heard it the first time w/my dad’s big 70s headphones on. It was an experience .. even at 13 years old.
This reaction was genuinely epic! That's how we all reacted when we heard this for the first time.
I've watched so many reactions to Bohemian Rhapsody, but yours is by far one of my favourite! So fresh, honest & from the heart! And quite spot on with the interpretation of the lyrics as well, if you take the killing of a man literally.
and no savage cut at the climax moments... :)
So respectfull !
Well, living in the UK, these two heard the song many times and are fully aware of the song and when to make those 'wow' sounds. As a Queen fan from when I actually saw this live, this is insulting! 'So fresh, honest & from the heart' makes me think you are a family member who were also 'clueless' to Queen and an insult to real Queen fans
Wow, overthink much?! First off, I didn't know they are from the UK and secondly, just because you live there, doesn't mean you necessarily heard the song. This is a whole different generation to us, who grew up listening to radio, or watching top of the pops, MTV etc. And thirdly: It is you who is insulting me. I have been a Queen fan since the age of twelve. I have seen them in concert when Freddie was still alive, I had most of their records in vinyl (don't care for the post-Hot Space albums. I still well up when I think of Freddie, whom I wanted to marry when I was 12, for sure. (Well, how could I know, lol) And I most certainly am no family member of theirs, I don't even come from the same country. @@mercuryangel5632
You gave a very sophisticated and detailed analysis of a complex and creatively surprising song that confuses most first time listeners, even if they like it and are impressed.
You picked up on every salient detail without a mistake. Your reaction and analysis were very enjoyable! Your enthusiasm makes it feel like I am listening for the first time with you! Fun!
except he didn't actually kill anyone- it's a metaphor
I remember the reaction when this was released in 1975. We had never seen nor heard anything like it, it was a real game changer and music was never the same again. Four superb musicians with the best front man of any band ever, Freddie Mercury, the GOAT.
It’s hard to believe that it’s nearly fifty years old! You’re right about it being a game changer, and I remember how at school we were discussing the merits of the song and the video the day after we all saw it.
They didn't changed nothing, Queen was Queen with they own style, and I was a 100% fan, maybe the best group at that time BUT I was also fan of Super Tramp, or Deep purple, or Black Sabat, they all had they specificity, it's juste those two decade 70S, 80S That was freacking mad of imagination and incredible musicians ...
Great song, great group. But a game changer, not really. The real game changer was released the following year, Anarchy in the U.K. by the Sex Pistols.

I LOVE Watching newbies watching Queen and especially Bohemian Rhapsody. I do really LOVE that Freddy's Music and Legacy is still being shared and watched even in this time period. Cause I do fully believe this man was an ICON. In EVERY WAY.
Newsflash, these two aren't newbies. This isn't listening to BoRap for the first time but a video reaction to it the first time when he knows where to pipe in 'wow'. Really pisses me off as a Queen fan since long before Freddie passed.
Great reaction. I'm in my 60's and English. I saw Queen perform Bohemian Rhapsody in the 70's in my teens. I just wish I could hear it again for the first time like you just did. I loved the expressions on your faces. Freddie was the most incredible performer, and Queen is the best band ever!
"WHAT IS HAPPENING!?"....hysterical! absolutely loved your reaction to this iconic American song!
It's no
NOT an American song! Queen was a British band who wrote British songs.

what's their best song?
Congrats! You have just listened one of the greatest rock songs of all time...only Led Zepplin's "Stairway to heaven" a very close second. As another poster has mentioned, the lead singer is originally from Zanzibar and originally from your neck of the woods.
I don't think there is a bad song, or even a mediocre song in Queen's catalogue. Lots of people will list the classics but there are some more rare but equally fun songs like "Who want to live forever" and "Flash Gordan" They are all good, but this song...is perfection.
Mustafa would be an interesting reaction.
Freddie is a legend 🔥🔥😖😖😖
Well, I remember where I was when I first heard it on the radio back in 1975.
And I immediately phoned my best friend ‘Did you just hear that?’ Much excitement.
This was one of the best songs I ever listened to being an 80s baby my dad dragged me up on it and till this day it still the best song ive ever listened to got all my 5 children on to it they love it.
The singer FREDDIE MURCURY wrote this song and he died from Aid's in 1993 and ironically Queen's Last CD was called MADE In HEAVEN
Amazing there are people that have yet to hear this song, in Britain, there are more people that know all the words to this song than those that know all the words to the national anthem.
almost 50 years on, more listens than i care to remember and this song still sends shivers down my spine.
i envy anyone hearing this for the first .
There's a video worth checking out called Green day fans sing Bohemian Rhapsody, it's filmed in London and it's thousands of fans who are waiting for the rock group Green day to come on stage and they sing this song word for word the whole way through its amazing. And yes in the UK almost everybody knows every single word of this masterpiece
All 4 of the band members finished uni and had real careers outside music. All four also wrote hit songs. The red guitar was made at home with help from his dad by the player, Brian May, physicist.
Top 5 greatest songs ever. Album. Freddie was my greatest stadium singer hands down. Even plant. Zep.
"Let Me Live" is actually the name of another Queen song! A very criminally-underrated one, in my opinion. It's notable for being the only queen song in which Freddie, Brian, and Roger all have individual vocal solos.
Yes mate, it's a great song, a delight to listen to them one after the other in the same song.
This is what I call Bollywood in Rock! I throughly enjoyed your reaction.
Queen, and Freddie Mercury created the most iconic songs ever! Freddie was a lyrical and musical genius.. what he did with bohemian rhapsody had never been done before or since.. putting them on a level above.. Freddie's vocals are own a level of it's own..Queens and Freddie are true legends and will never be duplicated
The greatest band ever practily every one in the UK knows the words to this song
Loved your reaction. Please watch Queen's performance at Live Aid, Wembley, UK in 1984. Freddie was the consummate showman. He had extra teeth, that he refused to have removed as he was concerned that it would ruin his magnificent vocal capabilities.
i love you two dad and daughter what a way to respect eachother
Love the reaction. Fantastic. Many have noted already that Queen were / are British, and that Freddie Mercury was a Parsi-Indian. A fantastic group.
Amazing, great reaction. I've listened to this song a thousand times and it still gives me goosebumps every time
The three parts of the song are defined as The Crime, The Trial and The Retribution. It has been speculated that this song is about Freddie coming to terms with his sexuality.
Love how excited and surprised you looked! Priceless. Very cool that Freddy has Parsi-Indian parents. Freddy was / is a legend. His voice is incredible.
The change of tempo and rhythm is called "Shredding notes" on the guitar. You guys got shredded, you're one of us now!
I'm glad to see my Indian brothers and sisters reacting to the song since Freddie Mercury is the most famous Indian rock singer in the world. Thank you two.

Queen's Somebody to Love == Live in Montreal is a MUST!!!!!!!
Every time I listen to bohemian rhapsody I always cry it is such a good song R.I.P to a legend
Freddie nearly destroyed several recordings to get the sound he wanted took like 15 tries but finally he got it.
A song called "under pressure" is definitely worth checking out."
Under pressure always starts in my head, after Bohemian Rhapsody, because that's the next song on my The Best of Queen CD
I love to see people from other culture reacting to music that i love! I realise how close we are despite our difference.
Have loved this song since I first heard and watched it as a 6 year old child back in 1975. Have it on vinyl, cd, dvd and mp3, but my true favourite is my DVD-Audio version. CD’s are stereo 2 channel 16 bit recordings due to limited disk storage space. MP3’s are the same. When DVD’s came out for video and audio storage, the music industry thought “what if we used the larger storage space purely for music audio”. This meant they could have 5.1 channel surround sound at 24 bit with no loss of sound (Meridian Lossless Protocol -MLP). Queen were the first group approached and their album ‘A Night At The Opera’ (that launched Bohemian Rhapsody) was the first chosen for DVDA. As Queen still had the original studio mixes they created completely new mixed versions of the tracks. I thought I knew the songs until I heard these versions! They are truly amazing. Hearing Bohemian Rhapsody in full surround sound with extra harmonies is like hearing it for the first time. Unfortunately, DVDA did not last very long as a media format and stopped being produced after a number of years. You can still get copies or download FLAC versions of it and play it using Foobar2000. If you can get a 5.1 channel 24 bit MLP or FLAC copy and have good surround speakers, you will not regret it. It gives me goose bumps !
this is Arguably, the very first music video, i mean Queen and Freddie, theres no one ever like them or will be, i grew up in the era of them and the music, i dont think there is a bad song by them, and it wasnt auto tune it was multi layered tracks this was his own voice
I do believe that in the UK music videos where a thing, easily, a decade or more before they where in the US(MTV)
pure talent, no autotune
One of my life regrets is that entirely because I was born too late, I would have loved to be in the audience the first time this was ever done live for a crowd. To see that moment in history and to feel the electricity of such a pivotal piece of music hitting people for the first time, oh that's something I would've loved to see.
I actually love how the girl summarizes the song. Music translates across the world. ✌🏾🤘🏾❤😎
When I was a teenager in those days I thought Bohemian Rhapsody was the story of my life.
I loved your reaction to this video because you didn't stop to analyze ever word or change....you just went along for the ride from start to finish.
Love the reaction, thanks to you, love queen, RIP Freddy our Angel voice 😇
Hi from Virginia US, when you guys understood the song and got goosebumps I got them at the same time from seeing your reaction! Thanks for letting us be a part of that!
At the 4:45 mark you sung the “will you let me go” line despite it being the first time it was said in the song, which shows that you’ve heard this song before. And then the 4:55 mark you sung the “let me go” part. You’ve obviously heard this song before.
I saw this too
What a great song and reaction!
Listening to Queen is like riding a super cool roller coaster..... you better hang on, it will be a wild ride to the end!
If you're asking for songs from same era and genre. Led Zeppelin- Thank you,Heart - Crazy on you(live with guitar intro), or Eagles-Hotel California or Renagade
Hi, I was a sad, 14 yo when this song was released. I thought it was so beautiful and I was always excited to hear it on the radio. But years later, when Freddie Mercury passed, I couldn’t listen to their music. He was so talented and beautiful.
This is probably one of my favorite Queen songs. And the movie about them is really good too.
I saw Queen LIVE at Sun City,Super Bowl in Bophuthatswana during the late 80's just outside of South Africa those years !! I was still in high school !!
Queen is a British Band. there is a movie out called Queen Bohemian Rhapsody, you should give it a watch, no one could control an audience like Freddy Mercury. The movie goes over the bans from start to finish.
this song is actually freddie telling the story how he came out. he was gay and his parents were very strict and with this song he kind of wanted to apologize to his mom. with „just killed a man“ he meant his old self
This is the best reaction to Bohemian Rhapsody I've ever seen. Like watching with a couple of good friends. 👍 Thankyou.

LEGEND,,,,QUEEN♥️♥️♥️,Do IT reaction Love of my life,Somebody to love and,,,,,,,,,,, so much more, just Queen,R.I.P. legend FREDDIE❤️♥️🌹🌹🌹
The lyrics of the song are about the lead singer (Freddie). It's referring to Freddie having to come to terms with who he really is and moving forward not pretending to be something he isn't (put a gun up to his head, pulled the trigger now he's dead. Refers to him giving up the facade he had created.)
Queen- Somebody to love (live in montreal 1981)
Have you guys hear Led Zeppelin Stairway to Heaven or Pink Floyd Comfortably Numb? 2 more incredible experiences from that music era
Thanks to have the respect to not cut the video ! you're the only one I watch who let the entire video run by itself... And your reacts are so natural... LOVE IT !
Did you know Freddie Mercury had four extra incisors in his top jar? That’s why he was so Bucktooth but he wouldn’t get it aligned because he felt that it helped his vocal range. Also, he had something called a false vocal cords along with his real vocal cords, and when he sang, he could incorporate both and along with the extra room in his mouth, came out brilliance, rest in peace, Freddy.
You 2 are great !! Thank you for reacting to this truly GREAT song. Much love to you both !!!!
Dating myself with this comment but watched them in concert at the Boston Garden (in Boston of course) in the 80's.
A rhapsody in music is a one-movement work that is episodic yet integrated, free-flowing in structure, featuring a range of highly contrasted moods, colour, and tonality. An air of spontaneous inspiration and a sense of improvisation make it freer in form than a set of variations.
Meat Loaf - Paradise By The Dashboard Light (73M views). Since you mentioned crazy music videos, this is from 1978, it's rock performed in a kind of 1950's Broadway musical style. This often gets blocked, but you'll want to check it out even if you don't do a reaction.
they said this song wouldnt amount to anything b/c radio stations would not play a song that was this long.
The best part about music is each person interprets it differently, in many cases songs written have more than one meaning... in this case i always felt that when the song was written he was still hiding his sexuality and was on the cusp of coming out of the closet so to speak... so the lyrics dont necessarily reflect a song about a man telling his mother he killed another man... but in so many words he was telling his mother that he's no longer gonna be the person people expect him to be but the person he is and has been hiding for so long. Therefore the guy he killed was himself the version he didnt want to be
This song is a metaphor. Freddie was coming out at this time of his life and he was struggling to cope with his sexuality. He refers to killing a man, and apologizing to his mother, but what this really means is that he feels like he's killed his old self and he's trying to explain that to his mother and apologize for that. He's trying to "leave you all behind and face the truth", which is his way of saying, I'm not the man everyone thinks I am and I'm not the man I used to be, I'm coming out and going to face the truth. The song gets more complicated in the operatic verse where he talks about the devil and Beelzebub (another name for Satan and one of seven demons of hell, who represents gluttony and envy) and asking them to "let me go" "NO!! We will not let you go". Again, Freddie's way of realizing and expressing in a song that his sexuality (as it was seen in those days) was going to send him to hell.
The music, the theatricality, the technical genius and the production is second to none. The other significant element of this song, is the video. This was the first video of it's kind - no other band had ever made a single "movie" to promote a song or an album before this. This was ground breaking and led to every other band on the planet attempting to replicate this process and reap the rewards. This video and others that followed led to the creation of MTV and VH-1 and an entire industry to promote music, beyond just the albums themselves.
Bloody commercials!
Thanks for this. Their reaction has me deep in my feels and I still get goosebumps at that part.
queen is the band that even if you never heard of them....you are a fan of their music without realizing:
-We will rock you
-We are the champions
-Another one bites the dust
-Under Preassure
-Crazy thing called love
-Who wants to live forever
-You're my best friend
I remember hearing this song for the very first time on the radio when it was first released in 1975. I had no idea what they looked like. Just remember it was an unusually long record for the time.
Watching someone experience this song for the first time is so epic. Freddie Mercury was an absolute legend.
I love you two! Thanks for making this and being open minded. I’m reminded of a friend I had some time ago. He was from India. I was his manager at the delivery company where we worked. Often times when he got back from his route we would sit in his truck and share music. He enjoyed the rock music and I really enjoyed the rhythms and energy of the music he shared with me. I lost touch with him some years ago and I pray him and his family are well.
I love how you focus on the lyrics in addition to the music and talent.
Congratulations!! You guys have just experienced one of the greatest songs ever written! 😍😍👏🏾👏🏾
Freddie and his colleagues are so awesome 🙃🎭😎🖤🥰🌹💛🌹💋🔥🧚♀️

He didn't actually killed someone. It's metaphorical. He is talking about himself. His old self. It's complex. You need to know his life story understand this fully. But even if you don't understand you can feel it. And yes, next time use earphones to fully enjoy it.
Good music TRULY IS universal! Great reaction! 👍👍
