Cruise 5 with CHANCY VINNY GONDWE

Probably one of the most prolific footballers Malawi has produced, Chancy Vinny Gondwe. In his own words, he rose to fame and came tumbling down, he says it is by God's grace that he is still alive. He admits fame got to his head and made turned him into a philanderer and an alcoholic. His exploits in South Africa didn't amount to much. He came back to Malawi penniless to rebuild his life and found refuge in the Lord. He has now set up a ministry called Good Samaritan and does what he calls sports evangelism, using the popularity of football to preach the Word of God.

Chancy is a legend. I used to hear some of these bits growing up but it’s interesting to hear this story from the man himself. One of my all time Bullets and Flames favourites

I came across his book two years ago, read it in two days. it is an interesting book with a lot of lessons in it. But one thing I can say is that Chancy Vinny Gondwe is a legend, and we need to celebrate these guys.
