Honestly I can't even be mad if we lose this series. Yeah I want Dallas to win and advance, but let's be real, by the end of the season most people including a large majority of Stars fans fully expected us to miss. If anything, we're wearing Calgary out for whoever they face next whether it's the Oilers or Kings(and I'm hoping it's the Oilers because let's be honest, who wouldn't wanna see the Battle for Alberta best of 7 between Calgary and Edmonton in the playoffs).
Some shots have to be taken glove side based on circumstances so the 54 shots Calgary Flames had in this game including many quality shots, that helped too.

Flames definitely outplayed the Stars in this one, but man these refs are making the softest calls, even for both sides. But that so called "hook" was not worth a penalty shot in the slightest, nonetheless even a penalty, ESPECIALLY in the postseason!

Honestly I can't even be mad if we lose this series. Yeah I want Dallas to win and advance, but let's be real, by the end of the season most people including a large majority of Stars fans fully expected us to miss. If anything, we're wearing Calgary out for whoever they face next whether it's the Oilers or Kings(and I'm hoping it's the Oilers because let's be honest, who wouldn't wanna see the Battle for Alberta best of 7 between Calgary and Edmonton in the playoffs).
None of the Calgary Flames goals in this game were scored glove side.

I just looked up the trade and the Stars traded #70 overall just to move up 3 spots.That generally will be a bad trade for the Stars and isnt dirt cheap unless they were certain Ottinger wouldnt be there and that they would hit with him.
Jeremy Swayman was a 4th round pick from that same draft and from the same college level competition. Even if at best hes just a #2 for his career he was the much safer pick just due to being a 4th rounder.Their college stats are similar granted stats can lie and it is a team sport.

Flames definitely outplayed the Stars in this one, but man these refs are making the softest calls, even for both sides. But that so called "hook" was not worth a penalty shot in the slightest, nonetheless even a penalty, ESPECIALLY in the postseason!

In some fans eyes their team can do no wrong and they deserve every call that is in their favor but any hockey fan who doesn’t have a dog in the fight knows that’s not a penalty. It was a terrible call. Stick lifts are not penalties. They’re a legitimate hockey play.

What a disgraceful performance at home by the Stars, tonight, minus Oettinger. You left this kid out to dry and that's unacceptable. You play like this again in Game 5 and you'll back at the AAC facing elimination in Game 6. Period.
Dallas played well very balanced group built for the playoffs but Calgary does have alot fire power and they are deep team. Good game
