Hey @Panda Pirates, I am working for a German TV production company. We really would love to use this video for a science format on television and online. Could you please give us the using rights for that? Thank you very much in advance. Best regards Melissa
did u try removing the valve core and filling with a compressor? is this really better than seating the bead with a core-less tire? also, i wish this trick worked for getting the tires ON the rim :P
If the bead isn't snug enough around the rim, no matter how much you try to inflate the tire, the air will just escape out. Under normal circumstances this isn't supposed to be necessary but I've had to do it once where even the air cannon at my job didn't do the trick. And Japanese car enthusiasts do it all the time to seat slimmer tires on 12" wide rims.
you can use isopropyl alcohol aka circuit cleaner (Really flammable). Read more for disclaimer Im also not responsible if you injure yourself, you chose to do it
Not good for the tire? Tires are made up of mostly rubber, and the fire doesn't get hot enough to damage it. And if you're worried about the expansion of the rubber, it doesn't expand that much, as all the air escapes very quickly. I've used this method for many years, mostly when the rims are huge, and the tires have a low profile, because those are a bitch to mount, and this method is perfect for that. Never ruined a tire, never blown it up and so on so.... not sure what you two are on about.
Saw this skill on Top Gear before, it's impressive :D
Great trick to know if you roll a bead far from help.
Potentially Life Saving!
to mount your tire, first you gotta mount your tire ;]

I like how safe u are with ur purtty glasses
Works really well with any aerosol insect spray! :)
Nice! Is that ether? What happens if you only spray 2 sides and try it?
I would't use brake cleaner it might have some solvents that can eat up a tire from the inside! Use starter fluid! Plain either..
You can only balance them after the tires are mounted.
Practice makes perfect!
What's the best spray to use
Rock crawlers do that on the Rubicon.

Go ahead and use it, I don't mind.
Well done.
Do you still have to get the wheels balanced or can you do that prior to putting tires on this way?
Olysk8er wut
Are you just spray it in the bead?
Just around the wheel, I don't really spray it on the tire except at the end to make a little trail.
I did that with petrol few days ago
Don't use too muc, folks - vapor, not liquid.
Super!
Yea maybe but I had to pull the tire down to get the little straw in well :/
