Thank you for your continued support and kind words Geert. It really does help to keep my motivation high when weather is poor and it’s cold outside 😃⭐️
StartlifeStudios Train Spots Again. Mega video from Newport that you had. Looks very different with the overhead wires in place but plenty of variety. In fact, amazing content from 2020, fully enjoyed your videos. Thank you soo much for producing out of this world videos and looking forward to seeing future videos :-)
Thank You Ricky! I’m deeply kicking myself for not going before the IETs took over. Personally, I think the HSTs are the real prize at this station and indeed this region. I’m glad despite the the electrification, they have stayed. I’m glad I was able to give you some entertainment during 2020. The future is bright and I’m looking forward to filming and travelling more than ever! Thanks for being apart of it 😃⭐️
Hello! Thank you for taking the time to comment. I’m glad that you found some value in my content. I’ve got a few other similar videos along the same lines as this on my channel. Be sure to drop me a comment if you have any questions/thoughts, I try and get back to all of them when I have free time 😃
Another great video just up the road from my local mainline station at Cardiff 😎👍🏽🎉🎉 Great catch with the Tesco Express and the Freightliner Class 70 on the Wentloog Moors-Southampton 😎👍🏽 Brilliant 😎👍🏽
Thanks EJC! I’m glad I was able to capture a lot of freight here, famed for its scrap and steel trains. I think I will try and visit Cardiff Central at some point this year. I have wider plans for Swansea and Bridgend although traffic in wales often isn’t as frequent as England. Thanks for watching as always 😃
@@StarlifeStudios the South Wakes Mainline can still get quite busy with freight on the main corridor between Margam and Severn Tunnel. Unfortunately, It will never be as busy as it used to be when I was a kid growing up in the 1980’s as we have lost all our coal traffic and a lot of other mineral traffic such as iron-ore and the chemical trains that used to originate from the BP plant in Llandarcy (Port Talbot). The area still has a lot to offer in terms of variety for today’s enthusiasts and Cardiff Central is still a great station to visit, plus there is Cardiff Canton depot as well 😊👍🏽 Maybe I’ll bump into you one day in Cardiff..you never know 😎👍🏽🎉
HST's still doing the rounds and Scotrail have them as well. I have a fascination with these expresses that are of course the dominant feature providing regular services to London Paddington as well as from Swansea and Cardiff, many trains terminate at the latter. I was thinking whether you could do a video at Saltash station, close to the spectacular Royal Albert Bridge which is single track.
Ohhhh uhegbu!! What a fantastic suggestion, I would love to do that! I also need a station in the West I can capture some fast HSTs and 158s/166s. Open to suggestions 😃 I too have long been obsessed with HSTs and it would be awesome to visit Scotland to see them as well.
Love the quality. Sadly, my PC will only show up to 720p, or else the video freezes. Nice that you followed the Class 800 as it snaked into the station :)
Both ends of the station are great for that. I also like the fast lines in the middle and the straight tunnel on the western end adds to the appeal. The Class 70 clip was actually much longer than what I’ve shown in the video as it is possible to see through to the opposite end from where I stood. The wires also haven’t reduced the sighting that much either which is a positive nowadays. Thanks 😃⭐️
