Yet another brilliant Simontrains Railways Journey and I found the Disused Railway Lines and Stations pat of the Vlog very interesting indeed my friend it just shows you how many stations and railway lines that sadly closed down due to certain industries that the railway relied on all them years ago and the rest I’m assuming would of been something to do with Dr Beaching I look forward to Part 2 of this Simontrains Railway Journey when it is released on to your channel until then my friend keep up the good work take care and stay safe

Thanks for another great video. I didn't realise that Wigan had such an extensive railway heritage. Now I know why G lives there!

Great video, Simon! That whole area seemed to have railways going in every direction, so it's good to understand how the existing lines evolved and how the other lines became disused

I honestly learnt quite a bit making this video and it all started when looking at OS Maps at Ince, my plan was to visit this line but while looking around noticed Lower Ince and tracing the lines from that station, a idea for this video sparked, to bring a active line and a disused line together. thanks barrowc

I live in Wigan and the lost railway lines are close to where i live. One track bed still has the ballast on it and can be wake along for a fair distance

Interesting Facts about the hidden Railways around Wigan surprised that there weren't any surviving clues at Hindley especially the footpath section where you stood on Bridge, Great Video Simon:)

When you visited the site of the long gone Hindley South station you missed out on some things that were ver close to you on that site.
