I hope every character gets updated battle voices, even the non-English/Japanese voice actors who don't have as much experience doing battle cries and stuff.
Incorporating guns into her regular fighting style instead of just gimmick items makes Nina feel so much fresher than before. It feels like a natural progression of her kit
They need to do the same for Lei Wulong. I waited for him to fire his gun since Tekken 2 and with Yoshi and Kuni having weapons there it wasn't far fetched (plus Devil/Angel lasers and stuff).
I have a bad feeling her character role would be suspicious if she is in story mode as she was with the zaitbatsu. However personality wise we do match in coldness and indifference in life
One thing I really also hope in the final product is that character have different fighting stance. It's pretty dull seeing the same idle pose from T5, really want this game to stand out
The "Female Fatale" look really suits her and you can hear the maturity of her voice. They did an excellent job here. Nina is my second main character after Hwoarang. Can't wait to see Hwoarang and Zafina (if she becomes available) 🎉🎉🎉
It looks like they tried to combine Nina and Anna's aesthetic. The clothes and the hair in particular scream Anna. The exposed diamond shaped chest, the viper glasses, the short hair, the dress...💙

There’s only so much you can change without a giant time skip. New hair, new clothes while also keeping the vibe of the character. I didn’t think they would lose Nina’s ponytail.

Also the guns, a thing we see her use in the story, but never in gameplay and combo's. T8 actually looks like a completely new game (from what we're seeing), and not just a reskin of T7 (imo at least). Let's hope other characters also have the same amount of innovation, and from what we've seen so far...it's looking like it!

I just knew she was going to be in the game. She is one of the originals! A legend! A fan favorite! Also, I noticed not only did she cut her hair and went back to wearing purple again, but her voice is different, too. Could've sworn I heard her Irish accent come out at one point.

They even updated the old Tekken / Bandai Namco opener w/ Jin and Kazuya. Brilliant! Oddly enough, with her commentary, dare I say that she somewhat reminds me of Sarah Bryant with her snark. "Isn't it past your bedtime?" "Better run home to mama now." I hope that the Tekken team implements more voice dialogue for characters this time to bring out their personalities more. But yeah, Nina looks more like personalities from female spy films now (think Atomic Blonde), like the independent contracted spy similar to her sister, Anna.
Fun fact, character designer Seiichi Ishii worked on Virtua Fighter but then went on to work on Tekken. He took Sarah's design ideas with him and therefore Nina Williams basically *is* Tekken's version of Sarah Bryant!
@@MrBoomxl -- I wouldn't doubt it, but I've never connected Nina with Sarah in any other game apart from her presentation here. I think what Bamco is doing with this game is fleshing out more of the personality of characters. Nina has always been more of a "reserved" character versus Anna as a silent assassin. Now that might change a bit more with Tekken 8.
This new outfit makes her look like a truckdriver to me. I always felt Nina's best version was in Tekken 3. Purple lipstick 💄 was looking good and her and the her evil laugh from Tekken 3 win poses were so iconic... never been huge fan of the character but I still think was more badass back then. The gun added feature looks cool though !

I see some Death By Degrees references here: 1.Her cocktail dress and looks similar to her DBD one.(But different color) 2.Her rage art looks similar to one of her X Ray moves. 3.She is using dual pistols which she also did in DBD. Good to see the developers show some love to that game. I hope we get some remaster for it.

Technically speaking, she wasn't in the first revision of Tekken 7, but she ultimately ended up in Tekken 7 anyway. The only characters with the distinction of being in every Tekken game so far right now is Nina and Paul. If Yoshimitsu is added, then him too. It's not likely Heihachi will return though, as he has already had two voice actors for him pass away.

@@MrBoomxl -- I wouldn't doubt it, but I've never connected Nina with Sarah in any other game apart from her presentation here. I think what Bamco is doing with this game is fleshing out more of the personality of characters. Nina has always been more of a "reserved" character versus Anna as a silent assassin. Now that might change a bit more with Tekken 8.
@@JustAnte9557 Nina's Tekken 5 VA, was also Christie's Tekken 5 VA and the current Zafina VA. The current Nina VA isn't the same at Zafina's VA.

This new outfit makes her look like a truckdriver to me. I always felt Nina's best version was in Tekken 3. Purple lipstick 💄 was looking good and her and the her evil laugh from Tekken 3 win poses were so iconic... never been huge fan of the character but I still think was more badass back then.

@@MrInuhanyou123 quite a few people have been treating every sexy female character in a game like some great evil for the last decade (much more so in the last 5 years or so) and I'm pleased to see that Bamco hasn't given in to this tiny minority opinion like so many other game developers have. Also what's tasteful is largely subjective, and the idea that things need to be tasteful in the first place is also open to debate.
It's great to see Nina being a priority again! She's felt like an afterthought for far too long.

@just dante bruh that has nothing to do with the presence of nina williams. She's literally in the main story. The first release of tekken 7 wasn't console release so who cares? Nina has been present in every single game. Her performance in-game is another story, she could be ass in this game, we don't know yet. You could actually argue that ling needs more of the spotlight, but we don't say that. She's been a sideline character since tekken 3 in 1997. C'mon now, don't tell me nina needs more attention

Not really, she’s missing in the original version of tekken 7 in the arcade.
Technically speaking, she wasn't in the first revision of Tekken 7, but she ultimately ended up in Tekken 7 anyway. The only characters with the distinction of being in every Tekken game so far right now is Nina and Paul. If Yoshimitsu is added, then him too. It's not likely Heihachi will return though, as he has already had two voice actors for him pass away.

its so weird the little art bit here 0:27 looks so good, and they actually made her shoes look normal, then in the actual game all the proportions are terrible and everything looks os clunky

This looks SO much better than trailer 2. New more understated hitsparks, it's starting to look like the Kaz/Jin first reveal trailer and I'm HERE FOR IT. Also new craunch hit sound effects sound great.
