He was just the most amazing person the earth has ever seen. He is a legend. A legend for his work and a legend for his kindness. Even being as popular and successful as he was, he always stayed true to himself and true his values. He is a just legend, and he will always stay in my mind.
You are the greatest Marvin, we will never forget that. I hope you are resting in Peace, you deserve it more than anyone.

When I was a kid, Marvin came and spoke to our religious school class.. this was just before A Chorus Line opened.. Marvin took questions from the class, one kid asked "I dont have a ride home today, could yiu give me a ride home".. Marvin asked what direction he was going, and Marvin said it wasn't too far out of his way, and he drove the kid home. True story!

I had no idea he was so kind and generous! How wonderful! Elvis Presley was also really big on using his money to help everyday people. The stories of his kindness still keep turning up. Nice guys are not pathetic losers, there examples of what it means to be a Mensch.

My favorite from Marvin is "Gonzo's Going to College" when he was taking random lyric ideas from the audience.
