You know that this was going to be an amazing performance when your heart starts aching from the first chord.

I adore his sound - so rich and clear and full. Every time I hear this sonata I wanna cry it's that beautiful...

I am viewing and enjoying this performance nearly 9 years after it was posted. I can only hope that this (then young) talented violinist has had the great career he deserves. Thanks so much.

Beautifully expressive interpretation by such a talented violinist. great accompanist also made for a superb, emotional duet. Captured the sublime textures and beauty of Faure, who was such an original talent. Giora Schmidt has such wonderful intonation, bow mastery and a gorgeously lush vibrato. Bravo!

This is a really beautiful performance, and the pianist is remarkably sensitive and flexible - which is essential in this piece.

that chord on 23:57 for some reason just gets me. Not sure why but I just love it. This interpretation's been on constant replay for me though as I'm learning this right now :)

Hello, I was looking for a recording of this piece. I found your recording which is great. I was wondering If I can use a part of your recording (around 2ca. min) to use in my newest video, "Top Romantic Violin Sonatas". Of course, I will credit you and your youtube channel. Looking forward to hearing your reply.

Je dirais que cette sonate est la plus belle, si Fauré n'en avait pas écrit une seconde...
