It's mind-blowing that a couple of engineers made simple computers then they became workstations! Steve Jobs was very smart, he seemed like a great guy. Rest in peace.

Hey Nobel Tech, I have a great idea for a video you could make with footage you already have - a split screen comparison between macOS and windowsOS as they both evolved - showing the visual difference depending on what you were using at the time.

this is a really good way to explain what's weird about it
A neat thing on the old system versions is that early programs came shipped with bootable discs, so you could stick the program disc in the drive, and it's ready to go, no hard drives or installs required. Then became clear that having two drives was the best thing to do to avoid swapping. And then the HD20 first and SCSI hard drives came. And "system software" bundles with their installers became the norm.
But the beautiful thing is that programs could be ridiculously small thanks to the in-house QuickDraw routines in the ROM.
It's kind of surreal to know that it was called finder from the very beginning

The ones from the '80s, '90s' and 2000s look so beautiful. The early 2010 ones are also nice.

Mac OS peaked at Mountain Lion & Mavericks, then down turned.
My MacBook used to have Mountain Lion on it. It's from that time, around 2010.
the DESIGN.. and even then - perhaps. but if you think the FUNCTIONALITY you must be smoking fentanyl and/or not have other apple products in your ecosystem that seamlessly pair.

i'd use windows over mac almost any day but i always preferred mac design to windows. it's unique and beautiful in a way only the design team at apple can capture... except for system 7.x in color and 8.0's default wallpaper i always thought those were a little ugly

Lets admit that macOS is the most beautiful OS between both of them ( Windows and macOS ), but unfortunately installed only Apple computers and it doesn't have many applications especially games that Windows has.
everyone (almost) knows that apple is currently developing a porting toolkit to utilize windows games to be ported and usable on macos computers
eh i disagree, snow leapord looks best but its a tie between that and vista/ win7, xp also looks very nice

Windows 7 was lot better than macos before 2017.
@@circleinforthecube5170 Leopard through Lion are the best looking for mac with the translucent mirrored dock and three-dimensional icons. Vista was a beautiful OS that was much better than credit was given. I loved the Dreamscenes. I miss the 3D icons.

nope atleast 6 years support for mac and the last intel based mac is from 2019 so 1 or 2 more os before apple drop the support for intel

It is clear that last versions are in line with the iphone/ipad. Icons, and the desktop buttons identical in the three decides.
10:27 this feature was presented in 2007 with Windows Vista (Gadgets). They criticised that OS and now they’re kinda copying it 😅

@@jelmarladisla3157 just because they changed the taskbar appearance doesnt mean they copied the MacOS dock, in functionality nothing changed in the taskbar.
My favorite macOS through the last several years: El Capitan, High Sierra, Mojave, Catalina, Ventura and Sonoma.

Sonoma is back basically to the pre os X era, but a modern version.

This was my first version of macOS! I got my MacBook Air as a graduation gift and this was my very first version of the OS! I still need to trade my Intel-based MacBook Air in favour of the new Apple Silicon Macs...sure it still works, but it has a few hiccups here and there. Especially when I'm occupied with Final Cut Pro.
Oh do you really have 21 degrees in Australia? Here in Greece we currently have 20 but the weather is super sunny it should be higher i think

imo I think after 2020, that's when the first good looking os was released. anything before that just looked outdated
thats when they got ugly, if whats outdated looks leagues better than whats new then is it really outdated or is the consideration of art as being dated a bad concept
i think it's because we are in 2023/4, of course it looks outdated, if we were in 2015, we would find the oses in 2014/5 to be up to date, but not now.
Original Mac OS X is my favourite.

I've had the MACOS SONOMA BETA AND IT WAS ALOT BETTER THAN VENTURA IT WAS NOTHING BUT TROUBLE FOR ME AND BECAUSE 13 IS my unlucky number I have had so many diagnosis at that age but it's still not my favorite version of MAC OS .
