      I just finished the page to the left of this page and I was waiting for this tutorial to color this page because I fell in love with the way you colored your crocodiles so I wanted to wait until I watched this first so I could get some tips and insight on how you did this! I think it's brilliant that you used light blue and light cobalt green in between to make blending easier with the green and purple! I never would have thought of doing that but it makes perfect sense! I have learned so much from you already and I just found your channel with the video where you colored the water on this page! I really appreciate your channel! Thank you for sharing and helping me to take chances on using colors that aren't typical, such as the purple on this crocodile! You're awesome!!! Much love & hugs!

    your colors are what drew me to your channel ... your color sense is perfect! I have been a watercolor artist for about 40 years and got into pencils maybe 20 years ago .., You are exactly right about all the colors that actually go into artwork done by more experienced artists .. it comes with time and you have got it right... I don't think you need to worry so much about the color wheel as it seems an intuitive process for you ...
    I love the longer format videos and all the things you are teaching those new to coloring as well as those who may be seasoned veterans like myself. Keep doing what you are doing and I hope to see a lot more from you . 💟❣💟❣☺

      Comments like these warm my heart so much! ❤️ I'm so glad that people like yourself, who have so much more experience, like my videos & channel. Coloring to me is indeed an intuitive process and it's sometimes hard to explain why we do certain things. I don't know if you have your work on the internet somewhere? I'd love to see your watercolor and pencil work! 💖 Thank you! ✨

    These tips are so helpful. Especially adding “unexpected” colors in. This is something I’ve noticed others doing and have been wanting to try myself but it’s…scary! Lol. Why am I scared to try something new in a coloring book? I can’t be the only person that feels like this!

    • @teacupsandart
      @teacupsandart  9 месяцев назад +1

      Thank you! It makes me happy to read that they help! 😍 Don’t be scared! It’s ok to ruin a page, that’s how we learn! Even if the lesson is to not do that thing again! 😊 so many pages in 1 book! Every colorist has ruined pages somewhere! Because we all started out experimenting and being new to coloring! Don’t be scared! Good luck 🍀

    I don't know how you feel about this but I would love to see a tutorial for a whole page! I will say that I've heard other adult colorists on RUclips say that those videos don't do as well in the analytics, so I totally understand if that's not something that you're interested in doing! I just wanted to suggest it and let you know that I would love to see a video like that! And they're long videos but I love long videos! Also, I wanted to mention that I know other adult colorists on RUclips who occasionally do this type of video will just show how they color each element on the page instead of showing them coloring everything. For example, they'll just show how they color a few leaves instead of every leaf. I have a channel as well but I only have one shorts video so far, but maybe someday we can collab!

    • @teacupsandart
      @teacupsandart  Год назад +1

      Hiya! I'm not sure yet if those videos won't work as I haven't been able to make such a video yet 😃 but I can imagine that it only appeals to a few that really want to color along and then for the others it gets boring after a while? If I get to finishing the crocodiles page, then I will have 1 finished coloring up on my channel divided in 3 videos. I'm definitely curious to explore that route. Let me know when you start your RUclips journey, then we can see if collaborating is an option ❤️😊

    One question, where to place the white highlights? Millions thanks in advance ❤

    • @teacupsandart
      @teacupsandart  3 месяца назад +1

      The best way is to look at photos to see where the light hits an object. So you then can figure out where to place highlights & shadows. But this is a slow process that you will learn over time. And it's no big deal if you make mistakes! Try to put a highlight where you would think it would go, if it doesn't look good, just scrape the paint of the posca pen off, or color on top of it with your colored pencil to cover it up. Then try again somewhere else 😊 Hope this helps! ❤️
