@@Britishbrat I disagree with you on Dismas despite sharing your view, as a character he is lacking, but we are not considering Dismas for Dismas, we are considering Dismas for take aim

@@perhapscow5442 But that he isn't best at anything is his greatest strength. As he is good at everything with extra support for tanking. He doesn't have any glaring weaknesses either

I agree that I never take Bounty Hunter. I built my team to do a thing, and generally don't want to change that. I think one cool way of incentivizing you to take him would be to have the region generate unique nodes you could go to to get certain enemies and get a reward for doing so. Give him a little bit of an antiquarian feel, let him be a way to generate money by doing Bounty Hunter things
I end up taking bounty hunter almost always for 1st region cuz he is great from all positions and stronger than heroes without mastery points. He can fulfill all roles too except healer. (Damage from all positions and taunt+ block+ disables)
I agree with Reynauld being a better tank/support than a tank/damage since his self-sufficient healing/stress healing is so insane, especially when he gets an extra 10% once Battle heal is upgraded. Not only that but Inspiring cry heals 1 stress everytime he stress heals someone which makes him (if you pick Banneret) a self-sufficient stress dealer, a healer, a tank and a pseudo damage dealer, Reynauld is literally Johnny Sins since he takes on so many jobs.
I think Junia's not D class, but that's only because I run her in a way no one else seems to, where she's rank 2 spamming Hand of Light plus with an occasional mace bash or divine comfort. Rank 3-4 Vestal is definitely D class
I agree! Ido the same. Seraph is too slow for the way the game is currently set up. Only by running jester and giving her his action makes seraph kind of work, but that is a low bar. Hand of light co-buffing plus mace to the face
That recent graverobber buff is amazing honestly she's weird because they really want you to set up stealth plays but they aren't good enough to justify the set up
Hmmm, a little shocked to see Jester in B, I'd say he's an easy A for me maybe even S, between encore, combo generation, easy position fixing, Solo/finale, and stress healing. Don't know if there's any other placements I feel are out of line though.
Jester to S. Encore is easily the best ability in the entire game. It allows hyper carry cheese setups involving Audrey and Dismas opening with Piloutte and or Grapeshot blast/point blank shot then immediately following up with Duelists Advance and Lunge. Nasty nasty combos that nearly guarantee 2 enemies dead on round one in a game with a meta revolving around bursting enemies down…. Yeah Jester is nuts
I agree with a few players here we need buffs to low grade héroes, not get S tier down but C D héroes back up. Runaway is one new character I've always wanted to build with... but maybe until now with reynauld she might go up a tier but is stronger dependant on team comp.
If you're worried about Sahar being a 3 button hero, I just did a stygian cowardice run where I kept her in the back, relieving stress but also giving damage and crit to high stressed heroes. It was probably the most fun I've had in the game for a while.
I feel like confessor removing 3 positive buffs is pretty good. I find when you give the vestal a speed trinket so she actually goes before others the buff stripping is excellent
Vestal is just too slow. Her design is cool but she's like...3 turns late to the party every time. Convictions with dance teams feel like the only way to get fast value out of her, but she hates being out of position. Dumping 3 Conviction feels way worse than dumping 2 Unchecked Power, which makes no sense since she generates it more slowly. Her heals have too low of thresholds. She just feels so hamstrung for seemingly no reason.
Returned on the same boss, beat it no losses with Flag taunting the eyes to focus him and corpse clearing the eyes with PD once they go down. Then beat the 4th boss on the first try but only 1 character survived. 😅
I think what you said about bounty hunter is correct, but also I think thats what hes designed for. He made for going into the sprawl to get a good flame based trinket for runaway while also ditching runaway for that region so she isnt countered. You take him for his general ability
Encore solo finale is the best 3 turns(cuz after encore, solo and finale happens together) imo but yeah his bleed kit is underwhelming. I think he should be S tier. My jester from 3 months ago hasn't died yet. Haven't failed a run with jester ever.
@@shadowfurydono the reason of the meme / but really getting low DBR is actually because the move Memento Mori from Death encounter literally lowers his death resist which means that encounter is naturally made to counter him

Hey, last run I played Grave Robber I guess she is S+ now. What a joke.

Personally reynauld front line with the fire and execution smite with self destresser is very strong. Of course we still too early as we haven't tried all possible composition
Oh, I don't know. Strength kind of is everything in this game. In my opinion BH can supersede anyone with little effort. Sure he's not always available, sometimes you pick him just to snipe the boss. But then again, that's why he's not a part of main roster. When you have a chance to pick him, he almost always makes a difference. Dude is packed af.
While I definitely agree the Runaway feels sorta weird and weak and needs help, I think Hearthlight is actually a really strong ability. The stealth clear is niche, but it's use as a mass dodge remover against annoying fights like lair dens is incredible. Not to mention the blind clear on upgrade, which is a pretty common and annoying debuff.
First off, amazing video, absolutely loved it and your energy 👏 I do mostly agree with your placement, however I believe you could have been more constructive in your criticism instead of simply saying that it feels good/bad to play someone. Also, Jester is super versatile, with combos, stress heals, buffs, debuffs, damage, dots, and encore, so he's super strong imo. Soloist isn't great, but I love the other 2 paths, and while I feel people overestimate the value of encore when ranking him, he is at the very least high A tier. For Duelist and Crusader, I haven't played them yet, but I feel like they need some more time in the oven with a little more experimentation (your academic instincts serve you well). They both feel very versatile and fresh that a B tier feels kind of unjust. Finally, while I agree Vestal feels lacking and doesn't always achieve what she's supposed to, she still has a few playstyles where she absolutely shines and even clutches sometimes. Being put in D tier alone gives off the idea that she's unplayable and needs a complete rework, while imo she's very well on par with runaway for example.
well and here i am using junia in all of my comps, dik she always heals me a lot and gives me pretty decent buffs, i don't see any other healing other than maybe the flagellant to be on her level, but then again im fairly new into the game so maybe im missing something
I think Vestal’s main problem is that she has too many support options, and not enough damage options. And sure, her support options are good, but they’re mostly defensive outside of Conviction of Light, which is powerful, but not as flexible as, say, Emboldening Vapors or Command, both of which can target multiple heroes throughout a single fight much more easily. But back to her damage options. She has three: Judgement, Mace Bash, and Hand of Light. On most of her paths, Mace Bash and Hand of Light are position-exclusive with her healing options, which means they only get used on her frontline path, and even there, Mace Bash is weak, which leaves Judgement. Judgement by itself is kinda pitiful. Its damage range and crit rate are the sort you see on attacks you look for the secondary effects of primarily, like Incision or Strategic Withdrawl. It can scale up to decent damage, but that’s all it is, decent, and it takes 3 turns minimum, more if you’re playing a path with weird Conviction Generation. Overall, just not very useful. Her support options are also bad. Her Convictions are hard to work with for all their power, Ministrations is hit-or-miss at the best of times, and Illumination is a single-target de-stealth, which is the worst type of move in the entire game. Sanctuary is fine, but a guard/stress heal isn’t what most people are looking for. Moving on, her heals aren’t the best, either. Divine Grace has too low a healing threshold to actually be useful, especially compared to other healers. Half health is the useful breakpoint for healing, not quarter health or third health. Divine Comfort is too low of a regen to meaningfully heal anyone, especially now that DoTs kill if they deal more damage than the regen heals. Mantra is a fascinating idea, but for it to really work for me, I’d want it to work differently on the Seraph path and just heal more in general.
I don’t really have many ideas on how to fix Vestal in general, beyond two ideas: 1: have Conviction work on a 1-2-3 token system, so skills like Judgement and Mace Bash have some utility that’s always available. 2: Replace either Illumination or Sanctuary with some other form of damage. Vestal just lacks versatility in her damage options, and I think Illumination doing some chip damage(1-3 or so) to shave off a block token, Vestal getting some sort of offensive debuff option(maybe Dazzling Light could return and be another Blind option?), or both of these options, would be incredible.
Just make using conviction tokens either easier to get or more rewarding when used, also some aoe to check things like dodge and block would be nice, she takes too many turns to get going and have bad health threshholds
Bounty hunter C tier seems like a bit of a hot take. I see where you're coming from though. I think if you keep his bounty hunter trinket you should be able to rehire him again. Using him once every run seems like too little. Also warlock occultist is a very nice 1 trick damage pony!
I usually never go bounty hunter which is tragic cause he is so cool but I lve already built my team and theres just no room to swap him in. I definitely dont want to build a team around 1 dude who I only get to use in one region
Hellion at C is too low. Yes she have only 1 good path but that doesnt make her a bad hero. She as Ravager is great dmg dealer, can hit rank 4 and have self heal which also removes winded, heal stress and gives her healing per hit. And its not % from the dmg she deals but % from her max hp. She is much better than Leper who needs entire team to be build around him to work. Hellion you just put on rank 1 and she gets the job done.
Stop asking for nerfs, ask for buffs. Players should not be punished with a nerf for using what works and instead be rewarded for trying something new with a buff to weaker heroes. PD should not be weaker, other heroes need to be as as strong as her, otherwise we will be at the point where fights take 15+ rounds, which is not fun.
Nah disagree. Balance goes both ways. Nerfs are not inherently a "punishment" to the player. Over tuned heroes cause as many problems as under tuned ones.
Balancing a game like this is hard but you should be focusing on strongest and weakest parts of every character and change them accordingly after all a two round fight isn't much fun either
