i don't think drums are full programmed, but probably they use a lot of triggers register some part separately (double bass snare or cymals) and increase their records

Look, I'm a hardcore Infant Annihilator fan. The drums are programmed. There are some idiots who claim to be his or the band's fans and then try to defend him with half and half information. There is nothing to be ashamed about here since they are a studio band. No intention of touring or playing live. The guitarist and drummer are in another band called 'Black Tongue' in which they tour and are actually them playing the instruments. Infant Annihilator is purely to be taken as a joke. (Of course the lyrics are deep in some of the songs exposing the evils of the Church) It's purely for joy of music. People (like me) who don't care if they can't play it or if it's all editing and shit. We just enjoy the music part of it. Aaron himself said it in a stream that it's programmed, but he said he doesn't program anything he can't play. (We don't know that for sure, maybe with snare triggers it sounds the way their snare sounds in all their gravity blasts)

He might not be playing Infant Annihilator songs (however he plays live for Black Tongue and some of the stuff from Nadir is pretty fast), we can all agree that he has a fantastic drumming creativity

I will say, he kinda fucks in black tongue. Saw some live footage that was really close to the stage, hence it sounded pretty raw. His blasts are a lot more precise and consistent than I was expecting, same goes for his feet. He might be a little tappy on the feet but it’s hard to tell.
Listen to the studio track. This is 100% just a video of him "playing" the song with the actual album drums slapped on top of it. And it's done in multiple takes then edited together. This guy is a phony. I think he actually is a pretty good drummer in Black Tongue, but those drums are simple in comparison. There's a part in the video where his kicks go so fast, it does that thing Cubase used to do when you program drums where the pitch changes. For some reason the original came up in my feed, started watching it and instantly knew you'd have a video on it!
I'm not a drummer. I assumed it was real. I didn't even know if this was considered hard to play or not. If you watch a master of a craft work, in a field you know nothing about, you cannot critique. I think that's why there are so many likes. When I saw it, I just thought, "wow, these drummers make it look so easy" and went about my day. Is there somebody who can actually play this? Or even close?

IA's tracks are really great and I listen to them a lot, as composers they are admirable, but no, Aaron can't play their songs in the same speed or with the same note density that the drums are programmed for the albums, the programmed tracks are above his level.
The video is all cut and paste with the album programmed drums over it. There's a reason why they'll never play live. His Black Tongue drumming which is great is more to his actual skills

Ita due to the Lightning, and he can play that fast for real, but not with that tight sound, the kit was triggered to sound the same every note.
Always watch how the cymbals fall. It's not sped up, but it is edited to the max.

The only one there is on the Tube is a joke. Kit falls apart, and they kept the backing drums in the mix. You're making excuses for a drummer that trolls the community. "Wouldn't fit a live setting" is literally laughable. If fucking Ulcerate, Origin, and a thousand other bands can do it why can't they? There isn't a single drummer on the planet that plays every gig perfectly. That in itself again shows you're making excuses for the lack of an actual playthrough. Feel free to ramble on about how much you know and blah blah blah. I won't bother replying. Aaron is a beast of a drummer and programs some interesting drum parts. But reality is reality. I suggest going to a couple of shows and then, idk, rethink your sad excuse of "huu-hurr can't play in live setting". Cheers.

I'm not a drummer. I assumed it was real. I didn't even know if this was considered hard to play or not. If you watch a master of a craft work, in a field you know nothing about, you cannot critique. I think that's why there are so many likes. When I saw it, I just thought, "wow, these drummers make it look so easy" and went about my day. Is there somebody who can actually play this? Or even close?

@@The_LaughingHyena Worth noting is that on the few times he's played their songs live, he's played slower, skipped beats, and been much sloppier while doing it.
IA's tracks are really great and I listen to them a lot, as composers they are admirable, but no, Aaron can't play their songs in the same speed or with the same note density that the drums are programmed for the albums, the programmed tracks are above his level.
